00:24Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life with your music roundup starting with Megan Thee Stallion.
00:28The Houston native is helping a few of her hotties build their own empire and become more financially literate.
00:36The Savage rapper has partnered with Cash App to give away $1 million worth of stock as part of a promotion that kicked off on June 29th.
00:45In addition, the rapper has launched a series of educational videos entitled Investing for Hotties focused on helping budding investors learn the fundamentals of buying stocks.
00:56According to E! News, Megan explained that this is all part of her effort to give back to supporters and help make them aware that investing is not strictly for the top 1%.
01:06She said, I want people to learn how to build their own empire and be financially independent.
01:12Buying stocks isn't just for the rich and with Cash App, you can start investing with as little as $1.
01:18I made these Investing for Hotties educational videos to help my fans learn more about different options that are available to them.
01:26And sticking with Meg, BET Award winner for Album of the Year, Jasmine Sullivan recently took a chance and asked Megan Thee Stallion if she would be open to collaborating.
01:36Meg posted a photo of herself dressed up and captioned the photo, Money Meg. Jasmine wasted no time and left a comment underneath shooting her shot, but with a few conditions.
01:46The singer said, Meg, let's do a song. I can't dance. My knees are bad, but I can sing sometimes. Let's go. Where's my old knee hose at?
01:55Both Megan and Jasmine took to the stage at this year's BET Awards last weekend, with Sullivan appearing alongside Ari Lennox and Meg performing her upbeat track, Thought Shit, while also joining DJ Khaled's performance.
02:09Could you see these two working together? And if so, what vibe would you be looking for? Let us know in the comments below.
02:15But speaking of new music, Lil Nas X is preparing to release his album, Montero.
02:20The Grammy-winning musician posted a short video teaser on Twitter and used Marvel's intro sequence, which featured shots of him from various music videos, in place of the usual comic book drawings, including a shot where he spins down a pole in superhero-like fashion.
02:35The artist let fans know that the album would be coming soon.
02:39This announcement comes just a few days after the Old Town Road star's steamy performance, where he shocked the audience at the BET Awards by ending the hit song Montero, Call Me By Your Name, with a passionate kiss with one of his male backup dancers.
02:55Lil Nas X received a mixed response online for doing this, but he's a master at trolling and responded back to the backlash in his classic comedic style.
03:04And moving on to more news that erupted from the BET Awards, as rapper Jack Harlow has responded to his viral moment with Saweetie.
03:11A clip of himself flirting with the Icy Girl rapper at the 2021 BET Awards was floating around the internet, and some fans even wondered if Jack Harlow was actually trying to shoot his shot.
03:22Well, the What's Poppin' rapper said that it's just a friend vibe between the two artists.
03:28After the flirtatious moment, a reporter for The Shade Room asked for more details on what the fans just witnessed.
03:35Jack simply said, that was me saying hello, but you can't say hello these days, I guess.
03:40When the reporter asked more about the interaction, the rapper explained, I'm a nice person.
03:45That's a friend.
03:46That's a friend vibe.
03:48As we reported, Saweetie is newly single after splitting with Migos rapper Quavo earlier this year.
03:54Maybe these two would be a cute couple if they ever wanted to explore that.
