00:00Karen has just been sat outside her house recording us for the past couple of weeks.
00:03The kids are feeling a bit scared and intimidated.
00:05He's going over to confront her.
00:06Hey, I got you there recording.
00:08Can I ask you why you've been recording us the past couple of weeks?
00:10Well, I'm head of Neighborhood Watch, so I'm just making sure that everybody on the street is safe.
00:15So, of course I need my camera for that because I need it for evidence, don't I?
00:18So you're telling me you're at Neighborhood Watch and your role is to make everyone feel safe.
00:21So how can you explain two little kids, four and five, who want to come outside and play with their friends,
00:25but they don't feel comfortable because you're sat there and they're scared that a scary lady's going to come and attack them?
00:29No, no, I'm here to protect them.
00:30But how do they know that? All they see is the lady with the phone in her hand.
00:33Yeah, no, but I'm in Neighborhood.
00:34So you're not phoning to say hello to them, you're not introducing yourselves, they don't know who you are.
00:37Don't you have anything better to do? Do you have a life? Do you have any kids?
00:40I take this job very seriously. It's my full-time job. I'm security for this.
00:44Are you getting paid for it? Is there like a sick contract you have with the council?
00:47No, I'm doing, I'm doing it.
00:47This is purely voluntary, purely out of your own time.
00:50I'm doing it for the community. This is a very important job.
00:53This is not a very important job. There's really not much going on. This is a cul-de-sac.
00:56She's about to turn the tables on him.
00:58I want to complain about you because those parties that you have are a weekend of very little.
01:03Kids, children parties.
01:05There's lots of people in the street that's not happening.
01:07Do you think I could go and tell my little four-year-old that we can't have his birthday party?
01:11Or because you don't like a little bit of noise, of confetti, and them saying hip-hip-puree?
01:16It's the decorations.
01:18What's wrong with the decorations?
01:19It's not in keeping with the street.
01:21She's filmed everything this man does.
01:23You do know that I've got evidence on my phone.
01:26And one of the things I can do, I can go to the police with all that evidence about all those parties and everything that you're doing.
01:33He's about to reveal something that will really annoy her.
01:36I don't know if you know, but we've got a little WhatsApp group chat and everyone's been talking about how annoying you are and how much they hate the fact that you're making everyone on this road feel uncomfortable.
01:44You've got a WhatsApp group? And I'm not even part of it?
01:47Of course you're not. I mean, you're sat there in your little deck chair. You've not said hello to everybody. You're just sat there with a phone around.
01:52I've lived in this street.
01:53Well, 32 years, two less.
01:54I don't know anything, that's all. And I want to know that I've never heard about this WhatsApp group. I'm not happy about this.
01:58No, but there's a reason why we have this WhatsApp group chat. There's a reason why we have this WhatsApp group chat. It's because of people like you.
02:02It doesn't seem like you've been here for 30-odd years. I feel like if you were here for 30 years, you'd be living your life a little bit more differently.
02:08Maybe you'd trust your neighbours a little bit more and you wouldn't be sat outside here.
02:11I think you're being very judgmental.
02:12He just doesn't believe she has good intentions.
02:15I don't know what your problem is. What's your problem?
02:16My problem is I've got little kids in the house. They're trying to pay a piece of food.
02:19Like, mommy, that little scary woman outside is watching us all the time.
02:22My parents shouldn't be looking out the window.
02:23He's still skeptical about what she does.
02:25What legal right do you have to be recalled in a second? Well, there's not too much going on.
02:29I mean, as you can see, it's a quiet day today. There's obviously no reason for you to be sitting there on your deck chair.
02:32Of course there is. There's every reason.
02:34So I just make sure that this street is safe and I'm just watching everybody coming and going just to make sure that everybody feels safe out on the street where the children are playing or where the people are walking by.
02:47She's got something else she wants to complain about.
02:49Talking about complaining.
02:51When was the last time you cut your grass?
02:53Listen, we've just moved. We've just moved. I think cutting the grass is the last thing that I need to do right now.
02:58There's lots of people that's been complaining to me about you and the noise.
03:01So who's been complaining to you? Do you ever watch some clips of your own?
