00:00Amid the tumultuous events that have obtained over the past few days,
00:04these can never be an excuse for any let-up in government service to indigents and those of dire need of help.
00:10Earlier today, the president headed to Kakampeng Country in El Bay, Bicol,
00:14to show some care and love to Bicolanus hit hard last week by Super Typhoon Uwan's Fury.
00:20There, he paid a visit to the town of Tui and the Karayanaga Elementary School,
00:24which sustained major and partial damage to classrooms and their water supply and sanitation system
00:30and distributed a Starlink internet system, learning materials from DepEd,
00:35over 340 school bags and snacks from his office to the pupils and DSWD beneficiaries.
00:41School officials and students of the elementary school showed back their heartfelt appreciation
00:47to the president whom they thanked and expressed his visit and presence as inspiration
00:52and boost their important morale in the midst of rebuilding their lives and getting back on their feet.
00:58The president's latest El Bay relief mission to El Bay is his follow-up trip over the past weekend
01:03in his inspection and relief distribution in the island province of Catanduanes.
01:10The palace stressed that President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. remains focused on solving national problems,
01:17brushing off resignation calls as mere noise meant to distract the public.
01:20The palace said that propagandists and destabilizers are trying to muddy the waters
01:25by linking the flood control issues to personalities in corruption scandal.
01:30Officials argue that those allegedly involved in the anomaly stand to gain if the president were forced out,
01:36warning it would be like letting the fox guard the henhouse.
01:40Despite rallies calling for his ouster, the palace affirmed that resignation is not an option,
01:45saying that the chief executive will face challenges head-on.
01:48The palace also dismissed accusation of kickbacks as baseless,
01:53urging accusers to put their money where their mouth is and testify under oath.
