German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul visited Tirana, Albania, on November 17, to acknowledge Albania’s progress on its path toward European Union membership.  During a bilateral meeting with Albanian Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali, Wadephul highlighted Albania’s dynamic reforms, including the opening of six EU accession clusters and the recent passing of the Gender Equality Act. He praised Albania as one of the region’s leaders in EU integration efforts.
