The short rear end, frameless side windows, and elegant coupé-like sedan shape belie the fact that the Mazda6e is a practical five-door hatchback with a trunk opening 964 mm wide and 619 mm high – significantly larger than a conventional sedan. The standard 466-liter trunk can be expanded to 1,074 liters by folding down the split rear seatbacks. An additional 72-liter storage compartment under the front hood provides space for extra luggage and the charging cable.

The parallel lines along the sides of the Mazda6e emphasize its sleek silhouette and elegant appearance. At the same time, the vehicle retains the powerful rear end that distinguishes other Mazda models with their Kodo design language. The light-catching effect of the lower door panels, inspired by the spray of a speedboat skimming across the water, further enhances the impression of fluid speed. The exterior door handles retract flush with the bodywork when not in use, preserving the car's harmonious appearance.

The new, illuminated Mazda "Signature Wing" brightens the front of the Mazda6e. It features dynamic lighting that makes this signature Mazda design element appear to float, while simultaneously displaying the charging status.
