01:12don't want to eliminate property taxes oh well why because you don't pay them you don't you don't care
01:22well let me get into it right i made some notes but
01:25he he was saying you know seniors are among the wealthiest okay so okay aoc tax the rich huh
01:37and they're not wealthy they may own a house that on paper is worth 250 000 but that doesn't make them
01:49wealthy it's only worth that if they sell it and if they sell it they gotta live somewhere everything
01:56else costs as much unless if you find something you know but again i have a friend fred uh used to work
02:05with him in it uh he lost his job but his wife also worked in it and could work from home so they sold their
02:20couple hundred thousand dollar home here in michigan and went and bought where cost of living is a lot
02:29less a home outside of atlanta for half that pocketed that difference and lived off her salary down there
02:39they're doing well because the cost of living is far less so yes there's a lot of things that factor but
02:47are they wealthy were they wealthy selling a two hundred thousand dollar home no
02:53wealth on paper doesn't mean you've got money at any rate property tax because i have done a show
03:07i think it was darlene hennessy it was i had on talking about the move to eliminate property taxes in
03:16michigan so i want to address mr aoc tax the seniors because they got money he's young he doesn't have
03:26anything of real value yet to hell with them it's all about him and only him let's deal with that how
03:35eliminating property taxes helps everybody not just one sector or the other even if you don't own a
03:45property it helps you but the charlie kirk wannabe that is nowhere close to being charlie kirk
03:55doesn't think he's a snowflake you know his feelings and all about him what about him oh what about him

04:23as someone on disability and yes in a home that has no mortgage on it i'm still extorted taxes
04:35at the value they claim it's worth not what the house was built for not what it was worth before
04:46not what it was worth when i obtained it but whatever they say the inflating and you could
04:52check before it's news.com i've got a piece on housing prices and how to fix the issue of affordability
05:01so people can actually afford to buy a house like this young person who if i were there i'd ask do
05:08you own a home or do you rent or are you just live in mom and dad's basement you don't care that mom
05:14and dad are being extorted property taxes because you're living for free but anyway all right that
05:21aside everyone's specifics are different
05:23but my property taxes keep going up and up and up and up and up i can't afford them on my disability
05:32budget i'm extorted money for property i supposedly own but i have to pay rent to the state
05:44for the courtesy of living on the property and under the roof that has been paid for already
05:52okay so that's my situation unlike him filling in on the kirk show it's not all about me it's not all
06:07right what about my neighbor who's working younger still working right recently bought the house next
06:18store at the inflated value has to pay property taxes while still paying a mortgage and paying
06:26insurance on top of that and all that right helping her by reducing if not eliminating the property tax
06:35is a benefit to all of us also our entire community gives her more money to spend where she deems
06:44her dollars her dollars that she earned should be going not where the state decides to steal it and
06:53redistribute it to okay i if i was there would i ask this young kid all right you don't own a home well
07:03are you renting question do renters pay property tax the answer is yes
07:14duh the person who owns the property from which you are renting is extorted property taxes from
07:25and that is passed on to you the renter so whether you see it broke down in your monthly rent or not
07:38you're paying the property tax okay let's say you're young and you're living in mama's dad's basement
07:45you don't care at all then about your parents being extorted money on property they may already own
07:55fully paid off for or struggling to pay the mortgage on because the property taxes their mortgage may have been
08:04fixed but their property tax keeps going up and guess what if you have a mortgage in most states
08:11the bank must escrow the estimated taxes in their bank payment so their payment may go from 25
08:25500 a month to 2700 a month to 2700 a month to continually cover the growing up up up up up more
08:34theft in taxation on the property they own that's only worth the first sake of argument quarter of a million
08:44dollars if they find someone who will buy it for a quarter of a million dollars and then what
08:52all the other homes in the area are probably a quarter of a million dollars unless it's like fred they move to
09:02atlanta suburbs and buy a home for half the value to have some extra flexible actual cash in their pocket
09:13they're spending 250 on another home it's a wash there's no gain there but yet this young dumb person who has
09:26probably never had an economics class and of course since they don't teach civics and history in school
09:33leader doesn't know any of that any of this doesn't understand any of this
09:41so you eliminate the property taxes you help a whole lot of people not just seniors
09:51but you're okay with seniors being kicked out of their homes because they can't
09:58can't pay the extortion to the state even though they own their home so their home is seized and them kicked out on the street
10:10and this guy apparently has zero issue with that
10:16this isn't about our feelings and it isn't about us and us alone
10:24okay i covered rent i covered seniors and the other right schools right oh i'm gonna grab a
10:36pardon me i had to pull marco rubio there schools we fund schools in part by property texas what are the
10:49schools gonna do what are the poor little children gonna do oh my god you can't take away the funding for the schools
10:58you fund them another way
11:01lottery that's a voluntary tax
11:07trillions upon trillions upon trillions of dollars
11:11every year taken in by lotteries all across this nation
11:16and trillions upon trillions upon trillions of dollars then
11:20funneled into the school trillions more than we used to spend
11:24and education is so great it's so much better because we're spending so much more money right
11:30wrong
11:32money isn't the problem or the issue there
11:35we spend more the education gets worse and worse
11:40so your money argument about funding the schools is bogus
11:47that is another show to talk about proper funding and what should realistically be the funding of schools

12:12go there for that right i don't want to get too deep in it but the point being
12:17there are other mechanisms other than just property tax that money can be gleaned to fund the schools

12:32what if you own a home
12:35if someone trespasses and steals something
12:40you want cops to show up take a report
12:44and detectives to track them down and get back your stuff

12:48if there's a fire
12:49you want a fire department
12:51to be able to show up and put out the fire

12:59we all accept
13:01that degree
13:03of community policing
13:06and community fire protections
13:09we understand that
13:12so
13:12you can reduce property taxes by a whole lot and still cover that
13:17all right
13:18here's a thought
13:19if we're going to agree
13:21government can and could and should do
13:24some things like
13:25police and fire
13:27we can't all afford
13:29and all shouldn't be left to fend for hiring our own private security
13:35and hiring our own fire force
13:38right
13:39we agree

13:42judeo-christian founded nation
13:45that level of community
13:48that level of community

13:51is indeed
13:52shared by all
13:54and paid for by all
13:56because it benefits all

14:00here's a thought
14:02how about
14:04instead of taxing people's
14:06supposed value of their home
14:09what is the cost of the police force
14:13what is the cost of the fire department
14:17that
14:18take that money
14:20divided by the number of homeowners
14:24or property owners
14:25commercial too
14:26whatever
14:27and
14:28send them a bill
14:30for whatever their portion
14:33their share
14:34their real cost
14:37of that
14:38is
14:38right
14:40okay
14:41and if you want to cling to your
14:43oh no
14:43we gotta soak the rich
14:45all right
14:46if someone
14:47someone who has a half acre
14:51still needs the police and fire
14:53as much as someone who has five acres
14:56but if you want to
14:57do it
14:58all right
14:59divide it on a per acre cost
15:01you have a half acre
15:03this is how much you pay
15:05you've got five acres
15:06it's this much an acre
15:08times five
15:09you pay that
15:10to cover the cost
15:12not based on
15:14arbitrary value
15:17which fluctuates
15:19up and down
15:20and all around
15:22may or may not have anything
15:24real to do
15:26with the actual
15:27value
15:29of the house
15:31and it's only worth that
15:33if you sell it
15:35if you buy a house
15:36and you plan on living there
15:38your entire life
15:40that arbitrary
15:41value going up
15:43unless if you're gonna
15:45borrow against that equity
15:47means
15:48zero
15:49to you
15:51zero
15:51absolutely
15:53zero
15:54it's a negative
15:55to you
15:56the value of this house
15:58keeps going up
15:59i'm not selling it
16:01because i couldn't afford

16:04the value keeps going up

16:10if i'm supposed to pay
16:12for fire and police

16:15send me a bill

17:35your wages
17:37aren't being
17:38confiscated

17:42isn't being
17:43charged rent
17:45for something
17:46you already
17:46own
17:47but a sales tax
17:49is a
17:50transactional
17:51tax
17:51that happens
17:53everywhere
17:54on a daily

17:57right
17:58go out
18:01and get a
18:01fifty thousand
18:02dollar car
18:03if the sales
18:04tax is ten
18:04percent
18:05that's another
18:06five thousand
18:06and if i can't
18:08afford the loan
18:09for fifty five
18:10thousand dollars
18:11to cover that
18:13well then
18:13guess what
18:14instead i can
18:16choose a
18:17forty thousand
18:18dollar car
18:19and the
18:20four thousand
18:21dollar tax
18:22forty four
18:23thousand
18:24financed
18:25is far less
18:26than fifty five
18:28thousand dollars
18:29financed
18:30right you buy
18:31a tv
18:32oh hey
18:34you've got to
18:35have that big
18:36new eighty
18:37inch tv
18:38well guess

18:40at cost

18:42maybe

18:45you can't

19:44there's the
19:45registration fees

19:47driver's license
19:48fee and of

19:50state regulations

19:54has to

20:00law states
20:01i must
20:01have insurance

20:04on the
20:04road

20:10for the
20:12privilege

20:14on the

20:24my wife
20:25had a great
20:26salary
