Impaulsive's Mike Majlak on whether content creation is harder than a 9 to 5
Transcript
00:00I've worked those jobs. I've done demolition. I've had to knock down houses from the inside out. I've done construction. I've worked in kitchens. I've had pans thrown at me when I was 14 years old by chefs who were on crack. I've seen all of that side of what people deal with in the restaurant industry, the construction industry. This is nothing compared to that. And by the way, like half of the battle for me is having lived a real life. A lot of these creators and influencers, they got famous at 16 years old. They have no idea what life is.
00:25They have no recollection, no understanding of what it's like to suffer and to really go through hardship. That's been probably one of my biggest struggles is finding people that I could actually relate to in the industry. I mean, even Logan got famous really early. He's obviously dealt with some, some hardships in the space, you know, as far as like really understanding what it's like to have to fight for your life and work a nine to five and figure out how you're going to eat or put a dollar 50 in the gas tank to get to the methadone clinic. Like these people don't know what that's like, you know? And so that's been one of the things that's been hard for me to deal with.
00:54So you, you'd be firmly in the camp of nine to five or content creation, which is harder than...
00:59Dude, nine to five. It's not even close, dude.
01:02Not even close, dude.
