From APT Archives: American journalist Tucker Carlson sharply criticised the U.S. Department of Justice over its recently released “Epstein files,” which concluded that Jeffrey Epstein had no ties to Israeli intelligence services. Speaking at a Turning Point USA event in Tampa, Carlson questioned Epstein’s wealth, alleged political connections and possible foreign links. He also accused Israel of hiding the “truth” and warned of rising public frustration surrounding the issue.
00:00I think it's entirely fair to ask them, and it's not adequate to say anyone who asked them is somehow desecrating the memory of little girls who died in Texas.
00:08They're not going to put up with that answer. I don't care who gives that answer. That is not acceptable.
00:13And I think the real answer is Jeffrey Epstein was working on behalf of Intel services, probably not American.
00:20And we have every right to ask on whose behalf was he working?
00:24How does a guy go from being a math teacher at the Dalton School in the late 70s with no college degree to having multiple airplanes, a private island, and the largest residential house in Manhattan?
00:37Where did all the money come from?
00:39And no one has ever gotten to the bottom of that because no one has ever tried.
00:43And moreover, it's extremely obvious to anyone who watches that this guy had direct connections to a foreign government.
00:50Now, no one's allowed to say that that foreign government is Israel because we have been somehow cowed into thinking that that's naughty.
01:00There is nothing wrong with saying that. There is nothing hateful about saying that.
01:05There's nothing anti-Semitic about saying that. There's nothing even anti-Israel about saying that.
01:08I've spent my entire life pretty much in Washington where I knew and loved a number of people, including one very close person who worked at CIA.
01:16That has never prohibited me from saying, I think the CIA has done some horrible things.
01:22Murdered a bunch of people, participated in the murder of a sitting U.S. president.
01:26It's got a whole trail of crimes.
01:28That doesn't make me a disloyal American. It doesn't make me anti-American in any sense.
01:32I was born here. My family's been here for hundreds of years. I love this country. That's why I live here.
01:37So criticizing the behavior of a government agency does not make you a hater. It makes you a free person.
01:44It makes you a citizen. You're allowed to do that because you're not a slave. You're a citizen.
01:52And you have a right to expect that your government will not act against your interests.
01:56And you have a right to demand that foreign governments not be allowed to act against your interests.
02:02That's not creepy. It shouldn't be forbidden.
02:05Forbidden. And yet all of us have trained ourselves to believe that you can't say that somehow.
02:12That that's like too naughty and forbidden.
02:14And the effect of making that off limits has been to create a lot of resentment.
02:20And I'll say it, hate online.
02:23Where people feel like they can't just say like, what the hell is this?
02:26You have the former Israeli prime minister living in your house.
02:28You have all this contact with the foreign government.
02:32Were you working on behalf of Mossad?
02:36Were you running a blackmail operation on behalf of foreign government?
02:41By the way, every single person in Washington, D.C. thinks that.
02:44I've never met anyone who doesn't think that.
02:46I don't know any of them that hate Israel.
02:48But no one feels they can say that. Why?
02:50And I think the longer that we play along with it, the more subterranean and creepy and hateful the conversation actually becomes.
02:59So I think it's better just to say it right out loud.
03:03Did this happen?
03:04And of course, that question has been asked to the government of Israel.
03:06And their answer is, we're not going to tell you.
03:09And I think our answer should be, no, no, no.
03:11As long as we're sending you money, if you were committing crimes on our soil, we have an absolute right to know.
03:16Did you do this or not?
03:17Even now, when people talk about this topic, I can promise you, since I spent all day on the phone yesterday on this topic with informed people,
03:26they're like whispering certain words.
03:27And I'm like, why are we whispering?
03:29Why should I be ashamed as an American about wanting to know what the hell that just was?
03:36Why should I be embarrassed?
03:38I'm not the bad guy here.
03:40Why should I be embarrassed to ask, what's in this war for us?
03:47We've got to go to war.
03:49Shut up.
03:50You're a bigot if you don't want it.
03:52First of all, I'm not a bigot.
03:54But second, that's kind of not the point.
03:56The point is, what's in it for us?
03:58Why is this a good idea?
03:59Shut up.
04:00And it's exactly the style of argument that I voted against, and I will never accept it.
04:05I don't care who does it.
04:07I will never accept that.
04:09You may say, as a good friend of mine who's totally deranged, but a good person said to me yesterday,
04:14Iran is the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world.
04:17You know, reading the talking point that apparently everyone, a bumper sticker that is for sale somewhere, I guess.
04:23And I'm like, okay.
04:25I don't even know what that means exactly, but how many Americans have been killed by Shia terrorism in my lifetime, which is 56 years?
04:33I can't think of any.
04:34I'm sure there have been some in the United States.
04:36There have been Shia terror attacks sponsored by Iran in the U.S.
04:39I can't think of any.
04:40There was 9-11.
04:41That was a Sunni terror attack.
04:43And then there's the drug epidemic, which has killed more than a million people during that same period.
04:48People I know, my next-door neighbor's kid, dead.
04:51A bunch of people I know have died.
04:53And a bunch have been totally screwed up and taken out of life, basically.
04:57Their lives have been hollowed out.
04:58They're husks.
04:59They've been totally destroyed by drugs.
05:00That's the reality that I live in in the United States.
05:03So you're telling me Iran is a bigger threat than the people peddling this garbage?
05:07I don't think so.
05:08Not where I live, it's not.
05:10Oh, shut up!
05:11And the person literally said, you know, we're going to have to agree to disagree.
05:16Disagree with what?
05:17What are you even talking about?
05:18But at least he gave me an answer.
05:21He didn't say, oh, you hate so-and-so.
05:23He didn't go immediately to motive.
05:25This is when you know you're dealing with someone who has zero interest in getting to the truth of the question
05:30and instead is trying to make you be quiet in order to roll over you and make you obey.
05:35And the tell is when they go immediately to motive.
05:38Well, you just hate some group or you're taking money from some other group.
05:44And neither one happens to be true in my case, but I always feel like saying, well, okay, what if I am getting paid or what if I do?
05:52I have some kind of creepy bigotry, which I don't because I think it's immoral.
05:59God created individuals.
06:00Each one knows the hairs on your head.
06:02Each person has a soul.
06:03No person is seen by God as a member of a group.
06:06Each person is seen by God as an individual.
06:09So I don't like that.
06:11And I really don't.
06:12I'm not just saying that.
06:12And I mean every individual on the planet, regardless of what he looks like or what he believes.
06:16That is true of every person.
06:17And I sincerely mean that.
06:19But even if I didn't, maybe I was some, like, full wacko.
06:21And maybe I was, like, taking tons of money from some bad country.
06:26One of the bad countries you're not allowed to talk about or like.
06:29Qatar!
06:32Qatar is kind of controlling our conversation.
06:35Qatar.
06:36Evil Qatar.
06:39I am laughing.
06:40I've actually been to Qatar.
06:41It's awesome.
06:42Never taken a dollar from the Qataris or the Qataris or whatever they're called.
06:47It's a great country.
06:49But whatever.
06:50But even if I was, like, on the payroll of Qatar.
06:55Which I guess I can't now.
06:57But anyway, even if I was.
06:59It still wouldn't make the question any less relevant.
07:02Why is this a good idea?
07:06And their refusal to answer that question lets you know right away.
07:11That you are not dealing with a person of good faith.
07:14You're dealing with a propagandist who is trying to control you.
07:17At exactly that point, that's when you say out loud, I know who you are.
07:24This is all fake.
07:26You can't even answer the question.
07:28You're trying to make me shut up because I'm a bigot.
07:33Like the liberals did seven months ago.
07:36And that's why we voted them out.
07:38So I'm not putting up with that.
07:39I voted against this and I won't tolerate it.
07:42So credit card debt is the single biggest cause of human suffering that I'm aware of in the United States.
07:48It's not Iran.
07:49Iran's not doing that.
07:51Oh, you.
07:52Atul of the Ayatollah.
07:53Now, I'm actually Episcopalian, not Shiite.
07:57Not Atul of the Ayatollah.
07:58I'm just very committed to observing physical reality and drawing my conclusions from that.
08:04I'm what we call a physicalist.
08:06I believe in the things right in front of me.
08:08The things I can touch and smell.
08:09And the people I can touch and smell are suffering not from Iran.
08:13Iran!
08:13Iran!
08:14Not from Qatar!
08:17They're suffering from their credit cards and their inability of their kids to buy a house.
08:23And Dan Crenshaw!
08:24Yeah!
08:25I don't think Dan Crenshaw is sold on this.
08:29Dan Crenshaw believes our threats are in other countries.
08:31Okay, they may be.
08:33But how are they bigger than credit card interest?
08:43I don't think Dan Crenshaw believes our threats are in other countries.
