Pauline Quirke's family give emotional update amid dementia battle
Transcript
00:00We're just trying to make people aware of the condition. That's all.
00:05You know, we're very private people. We don't do this. But for this cause, we need to.
00:10That's what dementia does. It's not just the person with the condition, it's everyone around.
00:15It affects millions and millions of people in the country. And that's what we're here to do, is to help them.
00:21My mum has always been a charitable person. It's what my mum would want me to do. It is what she wants me to do.
00:27To raise awareness and therefore funds for research.
00:31So everyone in our position, and the people suffering with this condition, know more.
00:37And what stage is she at on her dementia journey?
00:41We don't know. She's still funny, she's talking, she's happy.
00:46Is it four years, eight years, ten years, twelve years, twenty? Who knows?
00:50That's the problem. No one tells you. My mum knows exactly who we are.
00:54Every time she sees all of us, she smiles, laughs, says I love you, says hello.
00:58turning back on her står and says hello.
