00:00Blue Shirts fans, this past week, our Rangers family and hockey community suffered a tremendous loss

00:05with the passing of Larry Brooks. For nearly five decades, Larry was a titan in hockey journalism.

00:12His coverage of the sport, the National Hockey League, and the New York Rangers in particular

00:17for the New York Post, helped connect hockey fans with the team and the game they love.

00:23In 2018, his excellence was rightfully recognized by the Hockey Hall of Fame

00:28when Larry was awarded the Elmer Ferguson Award.

00:33Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the Brooks family.
