00:00Well, it sounds like those dogs are getting close, sir.
00:07This guy coming back here in this pickup truck, this guy is a problem. This guy is dangerous.
00:18On October 8th, 2025, Kevin, the creator behind the YouTube channel Small Plots,
00:25set out to film what he expected would be another routine camping trip.
00:29He'd done it all before. Hammock camping, tarp camping, tent camping, and could adapt to any conditions.
00:36Kevin isn't one for superstition. Ghosts, paranormal activity, anything beyond what he can see and hear,
00:42he doesn't believe in it. That's what makes him fearless. Maybe even a little too fearless.
00:48This time, he chose to camp right beside one of the most haunted sites in upstate New York,
00:53Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester, a vast resting place for over 350,000 souls.
00:59That night would put his confidence and nerves to the ultimate test. And spoiler alert, it did.
01:04From strange animal sounds to eerie, unexplainable noises that seemed to circle his tent,
01:09the evening quickly became unforgettable. He began by finding a small patch of woods
01:13just beyond the edge of the cemetery.
01:15Oh, yeah. There's graves. There are the graves.
01:25The leaves are so crunchy. It's gonna give me a way, if anything.
01:42Okay, so the cemetery is directly behind where the camera is. I think I'm gonna move a little bit this way.
01:54Looks like some nice flat ground, kind of encapsulated by trees and branches and stuff.
02:01And that should be good. I should be out of view from the cemetery.
02:06There's a tennis court area right over here. I'll show you guys in a minute.
02:13Of course, the break area for the workmen that work here.
02:18At first glance, it seemed perfect. A secluded spot, far from the road, where his only companions would be the rustle of the wind and the creek of old trees.
02:32But Kevin wasn't satisfied. He wanted to be closer. So he packed up his gear and ventured deeper into the woods.
02:39When he finally set up his tent, he was only a few dozen yards from the crumbling stone perimeter of Mount Hope,
02:46close enough to feel its age pressing in around him.
02:48He'd seen a few people passing by earlier, but now it was just him, alone with the weight of centuries.
02:55Then came the noises. At first, they were faint, distant, easy to dismiss.
02:59But as the light faded, they grew louder, sharper, most certainly, impossible to ignore.
03:05Some sounded like small animals moving through the leaves. Others didn't.
03:09The deer are creeping on me right now. I can hear. On top of the deer and the chipmunks and the squirrels and probably like mice and stuff,
03:19it's just leaves moving constantly around me. I hope that kind of slows down tonight.
03:25Probably not. Right behind me, you can see the cemetery behind me in the tent.
03:29And then right kind of in the brush are what looks like three deer that are apprehensively looking at me
03:41and chewing their cud.
03:43Just walking by.
04:12Gotta be quiet. I don't know who's a walker and who's just someone who works here doing the nightly rounds, you know, making sure nobody's sleeping in the woods.
04:25I have these freaking chipmunks.
04:29They're just like hanging out behind me.
04:34Talking about rabbits.
04:38All that leave rustling or like chipmunks and stuff running around.
04:43At one point, Kevin realized he hadn't seen or heard another camper all evening.
04:47No tents, no fires, no voices.
04:49Just him and the thousands of graves lying silent beyond the tree line.
04:53Still, he stayed.
04:55He wanted to see his plan through.
04:57But as night fell and he began cooking dinner, the meal felt less like comfort and more like a fleeting moment of calm.
05:04Just after he ate, the noises returned, louder this time, closer, a twig snapped nearby, then suddenly a gunshot, another and another, loud, sharp, echoing through the trees.
05:16I wish I could get more footage of the cemetery and everything, but even despite the fact that it's like one day away, maybe gunshot, despite the fact that it was one day away, that it's one day away from a full moon, it's too dark to film.
05:35Yeah, well, like I said, middle of the city, so I can't get the graveyard.
05:42Like I was hoping, I'm trying so hard to catch the almost full moon good enough to hit some gravestones or something, but yeah, and it's tough.
05:54I can't, I'm not, I can't really leave and go walk around the graveyard as much as I'm sure people are probably hoping that I'm doing that.
06:02It's just not, not really, especially with that camera right there, can't really do that.
06:12It's kind of like a journey to get there, if I'm being honest.
06:15It's not like just a bloop over.
06:17To keep himself calm, Kevin started talking to the camera.
06:24You could hear it in his voice, that forced steadiness, the kind that barely hides a racing heartbeat.
06:29It was the night before a full moon, and the air carried a strange charge, thick, tense, almost electric.
06:36Then came the footsteps, slow, deliberate, crunching through the leaves, close, too close.
06:42He tried to laugh it off, muttering something about animals, but the look in his eyes told a different story.
06:48Moments later, new sounds drifted in from the direction of the cemetery, muffled, distant, but unmistakably human.
06:55He didn't go to check.
06:56Instead, he sat by the fire, trying to convince himself it was nothing, that his imagination was running wild.
07:02But the longer he sat there, the stronger the feeling grew, that he was being watched, not by one pair of eyes, but by many.
07:09There's something walking closer to me.
07:14It's probably a deer, but I'm going to do something, just in case it's not.
07:25Okay, it stopped walking, whatever it was.
07:32It didn't run away.
07:34I'm just going to go with it's a deer.
07:39Oh man, I thought that was a deer's butt at first, before I zoomed in, but there was a deer facing the other way.
07:56Yeah, well this is what it's like here, next to the cemetery.
08:03You know?
08:08It's pretty chill.
08:11A lot of cool, chill things happening.
08:15Just like Mondo chill, you know?
08:20Now you can't really see it.
08:22There's something in the cemetery, making like a, I know this is going to sound stupid, but like a bone clattering sound.
08:34Like, tick-a-tick-a-tick-a-tick-a-tick.
08:36Like, somebody has like a bunch of sticks in a wagon, or something.
08:46Like sticks.
08:49Like, medium-sized, like wrist-sized half logs.
08:56Like, between a stick and a log.
09:00You know what I'm talking about.
09:02I don't think it's anything, you know, supernatural.
09:06Eventually, Kevin decided he'd had enough.
09:09He zipped himself inside his tent, secured everything, and lay back, listening.
09:13That's when it began again.
09:15The forest seemed to come alive around him.
09:17Footsteps.
09:18Slow.
09:19Deliberate.
09:20Circling.
09:20He didn't sleep.
09:22He couldn't.
09:23He stayed still until dawn.
09:24Every sound tightening his chest, waiting for whatever was out there to make its move.
09:29When morning finally came, Kevin was physically unharmed, but pale, drained, invisibly shaken.
09:35That night near Mount Hope had changed something in him.
09:38He realized that sometimes it's not the dead you need to fear.
09:41It's the silence they leave behind.
09:44Jason runs a YouTube channel called Exploring Intuition.
09:47He's a true outdoorsman.
09:48Someone who finds peace in the crackle of a campfire.
09:51The stillness of the woods, and the solitude of nature.
09:55By April 2020, he had explored most of southern Ohio's forests, but one place kept drawing him back.
10:03The Shawnee State Forest.
10:05He'd been there before, but this time he wanted more than just a day hike.
10:09He wanted to challenge himself.
10:11To spend a night alone, deep in the woods, far from the road, far from light, and far from anyone who could come to his aid.
10:18It was a decision that would soon become unforgettable.
10:20After arriving at his campsite, Jason began unpacking his gear.
10:25The forest was calm.
10:26Unnervingly so, the kind of silence that feels too perfect, too still.
10:31Then, without warning, that calm was broken.
10:34A sharp crack echoed through the trees.
10:37A gunshot distant but close enough to make him freeze.
10:40He stood there, listening.
10:41No second shot followed.
10:43Only the echo fading slowly into the woods.
10:45Hey folks, how's it going?
10:47I'm out here at Shawnee State Forest again today.
10:50And if you remember my last video, I was out here scouting for a place to come out and do some overnight camping.
10:55And I'm here at the same place, going to do some overnight camping tonight.
10:59My ride just dropped me off.
11:01So I'm going to be here all night and most of the day tomorrow.
11:04And it's something I've been looking forward to doing for a while.
11:07Just come out and do some camping and being alone in nature.
11:11Only have about two hours of sunlight left.
11:13So I'm in kind of a hurry to get my camp set up.
11:16And I also want to do a little bit of cooking.
11:19So I'll pick you guys back up here in just a little bit.
11:21Hey guys, so I was just getting set up here and I heard some gunshots off in the distance and some people.
11:29It's kind of far off.
11:31But, you know, the people I can handle.
11:34This is a public area after all.
11:37Gunshots, not so much.
11:38You know, I'm hoping those just stay where they're at.
11:41But I'm going to continue setting up camp and have a quiet evening.
11:44He tried to brush it off.
11:46Maybe a hunter, maybe a distant firing range.
11:49But deep down, something uneasy stirred within him.
11:52That primal sense that he wasn't alone.
11:54Someone, or something, was out there.
11:57Still, he continued setting up camp, trying to ignore the feeling.
12:00But that moment was only the beginning.
12:02As the evening deepened and he started to unwind, another sound emerged.
12:06Faint at first, then unmistakable.
12:09It broke through the stillness.
12:11Strange and uneven.
12:12Something that didn't belong.
12:13The chain of unsettling events had begun.
12:16When Jason went to gather firewood, he noticed the forest floor was picked clean.
12:20Others had been there recently.
12:22He could tell.
12:23At first, he took it as a good sign, assuming it meant the area was safe or popular with other campers.
12:29But soon, he'd realize it meant the exact opposite.
12:32So, after a few adjustments, this is what I ended up with.
12:35I had to lure my ridgeline a little bit so that my tarp hung out a little closer to my hammock.
12:41And here in the hammock, I've got the sleeping bag put in already.
12:45And underneath the sleeping bag is this sleeping mat.
12:48And that should, well, keep me pretty well insulated through the night.
12:51Like I said, it's only going to get down to about 42.
12:54So, I should be pretty good to go.
12:56Running out of time.
12:58Sun's going to set here in about half an hour.
13:00So, I definitely want to gather some firewood and get this fire started.
13:04May not have much of a fire tonight.
13:06Having a hard time finding firewood.
13:08It's really scarce around here.
13:09People have really scavenged it really well.
13:11And that means people have been out here.
13:13So, I guess that's a good thing that people are out here enjoying the trails and the campsites that are set aside for them.
13:20All right, so I got everything set up.
13:23I think I may have made it by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin just before sunset.
13:29So, let's see if we can get this thing fired up.
13:32He managed to gather just enough wood to build a small, flickering fire.
13:43Barely enough to keep warm.
13:45And certainly not enough to keep anything away.
13:47That's when the noises returned.
13:49This time, they were louder, closer, and unnervingly rhythmic.
13:53Like movement.
13:54Each sound bounced between the trees, shifting direction every few seconds.
13:58It felt as though something, or several things, were circling the camp, watching him.
14:04The forest that once felt alive now seemed predatory.
14:08You hear that?
14:10It's a coon dog, I think.
14:12That noise I've been hearing, I think it's people out doing some coon hunting.
14:15I think, even though it's kind of early in the day to be doing some coon hunting, I think normally you do that at night.
14:22But I'm not an expert.
14:23That's what it sounds like to me.
14:24Hopefully they don't come back this way, but if they do, I guess they do.
14:29We'll have to deal with it.
14:30They won't find no coons around here because I've been scaring them away.
14:43I'm not sure that's coon dogs now that I hear it.
14:46I hope that's not coyotes.
14:54Well, I am armed just in case, so I guess we'll see what happens.
15:00Part of the fun of being out in the wilderness by yourself.
15:02They sound more like wild dogs to me.
15:16I don't know what they're going on about.
15:20They sound like they're just on the other end of the holler, so I hope they stay there.
15:25One dog's not too bad to deal with, but eight or nine, that could be a problem.
15:35Almost time to do some cooking.
15:38Fire's taking a while to burn down.
15:39That wood's a little wet.
15:40Jason tried to sound calm for the camera, but the tension in his voice gave him away.
15:47He began cooking dinner, doing his best to act normal.
15:51The forest had gone still again, unnaturally quiet.
15:54Then it started barking.
15:56Not just one dog this time, but several, echoing from all around his camp yet nowhere in sight.
16:01He forced himself to stay composed, eating his food, and pretending everything was fine.
16:05Then, flashlight in hand, he ventured a short distance into the woods, maybe to reassure himself that he wasn't being hunted.
16:13But when he returned, that uneasy feeling lingered.
16:16The sense of being watched never left him.
16:18Well, it sounds like those dogs are getting closer.
16:21I might have some trouble tonight.
16:23I may have to stop cooking.
16:31Who would have thought of all the things you're going to have to deal with in the woods as going to be wild dogs?
16:35Well, it sounds like the dogs have started to go the other way, and I'm thankful for that.
16:47But now I'm starting to lose my fire because I was too preoccupied perhaps dealing with them to work on my fire.
17:05Well, it looks like this fish is done, so I'm going to dig in.
17:10Well, the more I listen, the more I think that those are hunting dogs, and somebody's out training them.
17:18Because I can hear the guy down there now hollering for him to come back or something like that.
17:23For a minute, he was doing a whoop, and it freaked me out because, I don't know if you guys watch any other videos on YouTube,
17:30but when you're in the middle of the woods and you hear a whoop, it's normally time to get out of the woods, but so far so good.
17:39That night, Jason hardly dared to breathe.
17:42Every snap of a branch sounded like footsteps.
17:44Every gust of wind turned into a whisper, and every moment of silence seemed to stretch on forever.
17:48However, when dawn finally broke, he emerged exhausted, shaken, but alive.
17:54There were no prints, no tracks, no proof.
17:56Only the echoes of the night before, and the chilling certainty that he hadn't been alone out there.
18:01It was a night he would never forget, and one he would never be able to fully explain.
18:05So, what do you think really happened that night?
18:08Meet Gaz, the adventurous outdoorsman behind the popular YouTube channel, Grizzly Gaz.
18:13With a love for wild camping and exploring the great outdoors, Gaz takes his viewers on thrilling journeys through the UK's most rugged landscapes.
18:23But in this particular clip, his adventure takes a dark turn.
18:27While wild camping, he makes a deeply unsettling discovery that leaves him visibly shaken.
18:32The day starts as usual.
18:34Gaz relaxes in his hammock, playing with his loyal bulldog, Fendi.
18:39After a fun-filled afternoon, he heads out to gather firewood, preparing for a cozy night under the stars.
18:46I hope she's found something to play with.
18:50Fendi, leave it.
18:54I like that.
18:58Ooh, that's sharp.
18:59Oh, that's effortless.
19:12I'm loving that.
19:13I'm loving that.
19:13That'll do.
19:31Right, let's hope this stick chopper works.
19:36I know we've got beetles in here.
19:48As the fire crackles to life, Gaz begins cooking his dinner, savoring the tranquility of his surroundings.
19:54The peaceful night offers exactly what he needed.
19:57A perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, with nature's serenity wrapping around him.
20:06Well, there we go.
20:09Why is it every time you move, smoke always follows you?
20:16There we go, get rid of that.
20:19Ooh, that steams hot.
20:21Let's get that off.
20:24I knew those pouches that these come in handy.
20:31Now I need to find me, uh, find me spoon.
20:38Me new spoon.
20:39Titanium one.
20:40I'm going up it well, aren't I?
20:43Gaz was enjoying a perfect night in his tent.
20:47Everything around him felt calm and relaxing, and he savored every moment of peace.
20:52But suddenly, something unsettling occurred.
20:55Strange noises echoed through the night, pulling his attention and shattering the tranquility.
20:59Strange noises
21:15Hello?
21:21Hello?
21:21Hello?
21:25Gaz was startled by strange noises, a sound like someone crying continuously.
21:46Concerned and curious, he stepped out of his tent to see if anyone needed help, but found
21:51no one.
21:52As he emerged, the noises eerily stopped.
21:55He returned to his tent, hoping to settle in, but the unsettling cries began again, sending
22:00chills down his spine.
22:06Hello?
22:08What the f*** was that?
22:21What the f*** was that?
22:34Even our fins have heard that.
22:52Gaz scanned his surroundings, desperate to locate the source of the haunting sound, but saw
22:57nothing.
22:58The eerie crying seemed to come from all directions, amplifying his unease.
23:03The uncertainty was unsettling.
23:05Was it a person, or something far more sinister lurking in the darkness?
23:18Nope.
23:19Nope.
23:20Nope.
23:21Nope.
23:22Nope.
23:23Hello?
23:25Suddenly, the camera jerked violently, as if gripped by an unseen force perfectly synchronized
23:32with the eerie crying that began anew.
23:35Gaz's visible unease made it clear he was confronting something both inexplicable and terrifying.
23:41Hello?
23:42Hello?
23:43Hello?
23:44Hello?
23:45Hello?
23:48Hello?
24:06Gaz quickly gathered his belongings and made a hasty exit, prioritizing his safety above
24:35all else.
24:36His decision to leave was wise, as lingering any longer could have led to unforeseen and
24:41potentially life-threatening consequences.
24:44The next encounter comes from Matty Van Hall, a creator best known for documenting his overlanding
24:49journeys, van life setups, and quiet off-grid camping adventures.
24:55His channel usually offers a peaceful escape, long drives along mountain roads, simple meals
25:00cooked under open skies, and the serene rhythm of solitude that comes with life on the
25:05road.
25:06But on the night of March 8th, 2024, that calm was shattered in a way Matty will never
25:11forget.
25:12He and a friend had set up camp at a remote site, beneath a vast, starlit sky.
25:17The night felt untouched, tranquil, until the stillness was ripped apart by the roar
25:22of an engine.
25:23Out of nowhere, a pickup truck came speeding straight into their campsite.
25:26The driver made no attempt to slow down or stop politely.
25:29He barreled right into their space.
25:31Matty's friend tried to approach, perhaps to reason with him, but the driver wasn't
25:36interested in talking.
25:37There was a hostile energy in the air, something that screamed this wasn't just a simple misunderstanding.
25:42Hoping to defuse the situation, Matty stepped forward himself.
25:46That decision would mark the beginning of a tense, escalating night.
25:51This guy coming back here in this pickup truck, this guy is a problem.
25:56This guy is dangerous.
25:57I don't know what his problem is, if he's drunk or high.
26:02If you would have saw what he just did, I couldn't grab the camera in time, but all of
26:07the dust, he came right in front of our campsite, started doing donuts for a good one solid minute,
26:14and then drove away.
26:17Here, there he is.
26:20Black pickup truck.
26:25Yeah, this guy's up to something.
26:27What?
26:28He's coming up here.
26:30Oh man, Chocolate Man's out there confronting him.
26:32I gotta get out here and see what's going on.
26:34I couldn't even get out of the van, because it was too dusty.
26:37Was that necessary?
26:39Huh?
26:40Was that necessary?
26:41There's a lot of people out here.
26:43Okay.
26:44Do what you want, bro.
26:45All right, go ahead.
26:46Do what you want, bro.
26:47Do what you want.
26:48Do what you want.
26:49Have a good time.
26:51Man, all you gotta do is just leave.
26:53That's not really, but you keep moving.
26:56Just go.
26:57After asking the man to leave, the stranger finally drove off, but only briefly.
27:02Minutes later, he returned.
27:04And this time, he wasn't alone.
27:07It seemed he had gone to gather back up.
27:09Behind him rolled two more trucks, engines humming low as they crept toward Maddy's camp.
27:14The group didn't speak a word.
27:16They simply sat there, idling, watching.
27:19Maddy felt their presence more than he could see them.
27:22The way they carried themselves.
27:24The way they positioned their vehicles.
27:26It all sent the same chilling message.
27:28They weren't afraid to take things further.
27:30Before the situation could spiral out of control, Maddy and his friends made a deliberate choice.
27:35He did something anyone in that scenario should do.
27:38He kept his distance, stayed calm, and gathered information.
27:42Earlier, he had recorded the license plate of the first vehicle.
27:45But when the man returned with backup, they switched vehicles and stayed far enough away that their new plates couldn't be identified.
27:52A clear sign that whatever they had planned wasn't harmless.
27:56Recognizing the danger, Maddy and his group packed up quietly, careful not to draw attention, and left the campsite before anything could escalate further.
28:04Alright, so I thought I had the video going, but all I got was a picture.
28:08So he went and got his crew.
28:09And they all came back and started swarming us.
28:11So bad stuff's about to go down.
28:13Alright, we had to leave.
28:16They acting like they got guns.
28:18So, I don't want to die.
28:21There's a chocolate man in front of me.
28:24Ron and Mark's right behind me.
28:28And we found another spot on iOverlander.
28:33I know it's loud in here.
28:35This road is really watch for it.
28:38So, we all had to pack up pretty quick and go.
28:42The guy came back in another vehicle.
28:45So, it's at least three of them.
28:47I know it's four of us, but we don't have guns.
28:50So, I don't want to get all shot up.
28:53And this is not the first time this has happened.
28:58Something similar to this happened...
29:02Where was I?
29:04I can't remember.
29:06It was just drunks throwing...
29:08Oh, I know what it was.
29:09It was drunks throwing beer bottles.
29:11And they were a little too close for comfort.
29:15But these guys were gangsta acting.
29:20So, time to move on.
29:24It sucks.
29:26As the van's tires crunched over the gravel road,
29:28Maddie glanced back one last time at the faint outline of their campsite.
29:32Now, swallowed by darkness, he couldn't shake the feeling that staying even a little longer would have invited disaster.
29:38Later, he admitted he was certain those men would have returned.
29:42Not to talk.
29:43Not to scare.
29:44But to escalate.
29:45Maybe gunshots.
29:47Maybe worse.
29:48Out there.
29:49Miles from any help or service.
29:51Even a single wrong move can be fatal.
29:53Okay, so now we're back on some paved roads and now it's not so loud.
29:58So, yeah, they kept coming back in different vehicles.
30:02And if we would have stayed, here's what would have happened.
30:05They would have come back in the middle of the night and, you know, they would have took shots at us.
30:10Did a drive by.
30:11And if it didn't hit our bodies, it would have, you know, busted out the windshield, put holes in the van.
30:17That's what would have happened.
30:19I mean, I know these things.
30:22I've been around a long time.
30:24I know how these things go down.
30:26So, this is wisdom, my friends.
30:29This is wisdom.
30:32Let me check on.
30:34Yeah, Ron's back there.
30:35Mark's right behind him.
30:38This is what wise people do.
30:42They don't let hotheads prevail.
30:45It feels like a loss, but it's really a win.
30:50Thankfully, they made it out unharmed.
30:53But the encounter left Matty with a lesson that would linger every time he parked his van in a remote stretch of wilderness.
30:59In the wild, danger doesn't always come from growls in the dark or rustling leaves.
31:05Sometimes it wears human skin.
31:07And that's the kind of fear you don't hear until it's already too close.
31:11The Bell Explorers is a YouTube channel known for exploring eerie, abandoned places and uncovering forgotten stories.
31:16But on October 30th, 2024, Bell decided to do something different.
31:21His first solo camping trip.
31:23What was meant to be a peaceful night alone in nature soon turned into an experience far more disturbing.
31:28One he would never forget.
31:30So, I've decided to go out and do a solo camp.
31:33I've never done a solo camp in my life.
31:35So, it's going to be something different for me.
31:38A new experience and probably a little bit creepy.
31:41I do have...
31:43I'm just going to pick up my tent.
31:45I do have a story I would like to tell you.
31:50It happened to me when I was young.
31:52And it's a true story.
31:54And it's creeped me out.
31:56Sorry, all the rabbits are running around.
31:58It's creeped me out all my life.
32:00And I've only just recently started telling people about it.
32:03So, look forward to that one.
32:06And once I get set up in the tent and the sun goes down, I'll let you know about that story.
32:13Because it's quite exciting for me anyway.
32:17You might not find it exciting.
32:19But for me, and you can imagine being in my shoes at the time, it was ridiculous.
32:24So, it's all fun and game.
32:26So, I've heard there's been a few hauntings in the area.
32:33One story was absolutely great actually thinking about.
32:35I'll just try not to trip over.
32:37But I always remember it.
32:39A guy down on the beach fishing.
32:42And there's known to be a ghost.
32:47He wears...
32:49He's like an old fisherman type man.
32:51Because it's like a fishing village.
32:53Desert.
32:55He's known in the area to walk around in like a dungaree type trousers.
33:03And you know, like traditional sort of fisherman sort of dress old school.
33:08And apparently there was a guy down on the beach fishing away.
33:12And he was just getting to a point where he was ready to pack up to go home.
33:16And he turned around to see a bloke standing there staring at him.
33:20Bearing in mind this is in the dark at night time.
33:22Not midnight.
33:23And anyway, he sat there.
33:27He sort of spoke to the bloke a little bit.
33:29The bloke didn't answer.
33:30He just stood there staring.
33:31And he decided that enough's enough.
33:34I'm going to leave.
33:36Turned around to look at the bloke again.
33:38And he'd gone.
33:39Well this guy freaked out.
33:41And he's rushed back to his car.
33:44And he's jumped in his motor.
33:47And he was too scared that he didn't even pack any of his fishing rods up or anything.
33:51He didn't fold them down.
33:52He ran up to his car.
33:54Crap in his pants.
33:55And literally decided just to open a window.
33:59And stuff the rods in the window.
34:01With them sticking out about six foot.
34:03As he drove off.
34:04Snapped them cleaning off on a telegraph pole.
34:06So yeah, it's quite a funny story.
34:09So we never know.
34:12We might encounter something tonight.
34:14You never know our luck.
34:15But I'm quite nervous about it.
34:17Because I've never done a solo camp before.
34:20And this is my first time.
34:22So wish me luck.
34:25The explorer started by sharing the eerie history of the area.
34:28A place locals consider one of the most haunted spots in England.
34:32After a short walk.
34:33He found a clearing.
34:34And set up his camp.
34:36Unaware that his first solo camping trip.
34:38Was about to become one of the most terrifying nights of his life.
34:42Hi guys.
34:44That's the tent all pitched up.
34:46Ready to go.
34:47How exciting.
34:49It's only an old tent.
34:51I'd lain around.
34:53But it does me okay.
34:55So.
34:56Nice and quick and easy.
35:00So.
35:01We are waiting for the sun to go down now.
35:06So I just.
35:07Suppose.
35:08Setting up camp on the desolate shingle beaches of Dungeness.
35:15Surrounded by the crumbling remains of old fishing huts.
35:18And the dark silhouette of a distant power station.
35:21The explorer couldn't shake the unsettling feeling that hung heavy in the air.
35:25Beautiful.
35:26Cloud formations.
35:27Absolutely stunning.
35:28Look at that.
35:29I hope that.
35:30I hope that's not rain over there.
35:31Cause that would be just my luck.
35:32Right guys.
35:34So as the sun's starting to go down.
35:35It's starting to get a little bit more spooky.
35:36It doesn't look it.
35:37But there's a lot of flies around there doing my head in.
35:38It doesn't look like the sun's going down much.
35:39But the good old iPhone has really good sort of light exposure and stuff.
35:42So it.
35:43It.
35:44It.
35:45It.
35:46It.
35:47It.
35:48It.
35:49It.
35:50It.
35:51It.
35:52It.
35:53It.
35:54It.
35:55It.
35:56It.
35:57It.
35:58It.
35:59It.
36:00It.
36:01It.
36:02It.
36:03It.
36:04It.
36:05It.
36:06It.
36:07It.
36:08It.
36:09Eyes.
36:10It.
36:11It.
36:12It.
36:13It.
36:14It.
36:15I think it's time I told you this story.
36:18Now.
36:19I.
36:20It.
36:21It.
36:22It.
36:23It.
36:24It.
36:25It.
36:26It.
36:27It.
36:28It.
36:29It.
36:30It.
36:31It.
36:32It.
36:33It.
36:34It.
36:35It.
36:37It.
36:38Anyway, I worked for a company. I won't say any names or anything like that. I worked for a company and I was working on a church. I won't tell you what church it was. I was working on a church and what we was doing was, well it was me on my own, digging out trench through the graveyard because we had to put in drainage.
37:05Because there was a lot of flooding and stuff like that so we needed some drainage in there. So I decided to put in a four inch drain pipe with a gully which would take all the water from the roof of the church and dig a trench all the way down to the dike.
37:27Anyway, it was one evening I was there digging along. I dug up a lot of bones actually. I've got pictures somewhere on one of my cameras. I dug up a hell of a lot of bones.
37:41I even dug up a jawbone with all the teeth in it. There was like two teeth missing but the rest of them were all still intact. It was quite exciting. Freaky but exciting, you know. It's not something you normally see as like a human jawbone.
37:57As he recounted a story from his teenage years, he suddenly noticed something. A tall, mysterious figure draped in a black cloak, holding what appeared to be a staff moving slowly through the dusk. Within moments, the figure vanished without a trace.
38:12The stillness that followed was heavy, almost unnatural. Sitting there alone beneath the darkening sky, a creeping sense of unease began to take hold.
38:20And I see this guy walk around the back of the church. Now, I looked around and I didn't think nothing of it. It was really close to me, you know, like, I don't know, I would say 20 foot away, something like that.
38:34And, um, anyway, I'm digging away. And he's walked around and he's wearing this cape, right, it's a black cape. And he had like, um, so it was like a hood, a cape that went all the way down to the floor.
38:49And he had a big stick with a bend on the end. Anyway, I, um, I kept digging away. I didn't think nothing of it because the church is a church. They dress, they dress funny, don't they?
39:02They have all sorts of things they put on for different occasions. I didn't think nothing of it. I just kept digging away.
39:09And he walked out over the dike and out towards the middle of the field. And, uh, he got all the way out there.
39:19And he was hanging around there for a little while, right in the middle of the field. There's like, you know, there was nothing around him for like, you know, it would take him five, ten minutes to walk in a place where he was out of view.
39:31So, anyway, I'm digging away and he's standing there and he's got a couple of sheep around him, standing there with his stick, just randomly standing there.
39:39Don't know what he was doing. He's quite sort of a bulky guy.
39:43Anyway, um, I had a couple of shovels out of the trench, you know, like you do.
39:49I looked down, I looked up and he'd gone. Completely gone. These flies are a nightmare.
39:54So, I was getting a bit freaked out and it started playing in my mind. I'm looking around all the fields to him and I could find him and I couldn't find him.
40:04The atmosphere grew heavier, the air thick with tension.
40:08Trying to shake off the unease, he retreated to his tent, hoping that sleep might silence the creeping dread.
40:13All right, guys, we're in the tent.
40:29There's a, it's a bit, it's getting a bit creepy outside.
40:33I thought I heard a few noises here and there, but I'll just put it down to animals, I think.
40:39Because, uh, you know, it's a bit, a bit nasty out there.
40:43So, I think what I'm going to do is, I think I'm going to, um, because there's not a lot else I can do.
40:51I think I'm going to get my head down because it's now half past 11.
40:53So, uh, what was that?
41:01Did you hear that, guys?
41:07What the fuck was that?
41:11What was that noise?
41:15It sounded close to the tent.
41:23Oh, I've got to go out and inspect that, guys.
41:27I've got to go out and inspect it.
41:29Oh, I've got to go and check that out, guys.
41:30Oh, I've got to go and check that out, guys.
41:35I've got to go and check that out.
41:38Because that wasn't very nice.
41:39That sounded a bit apparent to the tent.
41:43What the fuck am I going to do?
41:43What the fuck am I going to do?
41:53I can't see anything, guys.
42:11I haven't heard the noise since.
42:16Crunching footsteps echoed across the gravel.
42:19Slow, deliberate, and far too close.
42:22He froze, holding his breath.
42:24Trying to tell himself it was just the wind.
42:26But the steps were too heavy.
42:27Too intentional to be natural.
42:29Heart pounding.
42:30He slowly unzipped the tent and peered outside.
42:33Searching for the source of the sound.
42:35But there was nothing.
42:36No movement.
42:37No person.
42:38Not even an animal.
42:40Forcing himself to believe it was just his imagination,
42:42he zipped the tent back up and tried to get some rest.
42:44It was just the kind of thing.
42:46God.
42:47All right.
43:18What was that, guys?
43:42Shit.
43:48I don't know what to do, guys.
43:57I'm going to have to go out there.
43:59Fucking hell.
44:00What's going on?
44:02Oh, shit.
44:03I'm going to have to grow some balls and go out there.
44:05I really don't want to.
44:19That's shaking me up, guys.
44:22That's really shaking me up.
44:23I can't do this.
44:35I can't do this.
44:43I'm going to have to go out and check it out.
44:44I really don't want to.
44:46I'm shitting myself.
44:49That was...
44:49I can't see nothing.
44:57Let's put it on there, guys.
45:01Oh, shit.
45:08Shit.
45:09Oh, we're going out all night, guys.
45:24What the fuck was that?
45:26I can't do this, guys.
45:44I can't stay here.
45:47I cannot stay here, guys.
45:49I don't know what the hell that was.
46:00There's someone here.
46:01There's got to be.
46:02At 2.01 a.m., he was jolted awake by something, or someone, pressing against his tent.
46:09Then, without warning, the entire shelter collapsed on him with a violent crash.
46:14Terror surged through him as confusion and panic took over.
46:17He couldn't tell what, or who, was outside, but heart-racing, he mustered the courage to
46:22crawl out and investigate.
46:24Grabbing his flashlight, he slowly peered into the darkness.
46:27Yet again, there was nothing.
46:30No movement.
46:30No sound.
46:31No one in sight.
46:32It didn't make sense.
46:34If someone had knocked down his tent and fled, he would have heard footsteps.
46:37But there was only silence.
46:39Uneasy thoughts raced through his mind.
46:41Realizing that staying any longer could put him in serious danger, he made the only choice
46:45he could.
46:46Instead, he abandoned the camp and left, choosing safety over answers.
46:50I ain't hanging around here, guys.
46:54I've left my tent.
46:55I didn't pack it up in the end.
47:00I'm sorry about the head torch.
47:02I'm not turning that off.
47:06I'm not turning the head torch off.
47:08I need to see where I'm going, and who's around me.
47:13Because, er...
47:14This isn't very nice, guys.
47:23This really isn't very nice.
47:25I don't know what the hell that thing was that came down on me.
47:32Must have been a person.
47:34Must have been.
47:35I don't see any explanation.
47:43One thing's for sure, I don't think I'm going to be doing this again.
47:46I've even...
47:47I've even picked up a big stone in my pocket, just in case.
48:02I'm not happy.
48:03I'll come back for the tent tomorrow, if I can be bothered.
48:16I don't want to come back here again, if I'm honest.
48:18That was scary.
48:19He didn't waste a moment.
48:21Snatching up his belongings, he stuffed them into his backpack and hurried out of the tent.
48:26Without glancing back, he made his way to his vehicle, desperate to put distance between himself and that place.
48:32He had escaped unharmed.
48:34But even once he was safe, a single question lingered.
48:38What had been out there with him that night?
48:40The locals whispered of unseen beings that haunted those shores.
48:44And perhaps he had encountered one firsthand.
48:47On October 30th, 2020, Craig uploaded this encounter to his YouTube channel.
48:53No. Egg. Craig.
48:56Usually, Craig's content focuses on cooking vlogs, backpacking, and hiking adventures.
49:02Calm, scenic videos that highlight the beauty of nature and the simplicity of vegan cooking.
49:07But this video was different.
49:09What started as a tranquil camping trip in a secluded forest gradually turned into something far more unsettling.
49:15It begins with Craig unpacking his gear.
49:18How did you equip him?
49:18How did you equip him?
49:29I eating progress to have two fullmen?
49:31Yes.
49:32You picked out the catching on.
49:36Yes.
49:37Oh.
49:38I don't know.
50:08Let's go.
50:38Craig lays out his sleeping bag, and as night settles in, quietly cooks his dinner over
50:52the stove.
50:53For a time, everything feels calm and ordinary.
50:56Then without warning, the atmosphere changes.
50:59The air grows heavier, colder, and unnaturally still.
51:03Let's go.
51:05Let's go.
51:07Let's go.
51:09Let's go.
51:13Let's go.
51:15Let's go.
51:17Let's go.
51:21Let's go.
51:27Someone there?
51:57It's really weird.
52:21Then, without warning, the silence shatters.
52:25A series of loud, echoing bangs rip through the night, sharp, deliberate, and unsettling,
52:31as if someone or something wanted to make its presence known.
52:34Craig peers into the darkness, but the noise ceases as suddenly as it began.
52:39He pauses, uneasy, before convincing himself it was just an animal, and goes back to his
52:43meal.
52:55Oh my God.
53:07Oh my God.
53:14Who's there?
53:34Hello?
53:36Someone there?
53:44Yeah.
53:49Okay.
53:51That's not enough.
54:14That's not enough.
54:44What the fuck?
54:48Oh my god.
54:56Okay.
55:01Jeez.
55:04What?
55:08What?
55:10What?
55:12What?
55:14What?
55:16What?
