00:00Oriental Beauty Valley, MXGP of China. About to burst into life, MXGP Race 2, 30 plus 2.
00:07Who will it be that grabs that all-important box-hole shot, everybody away, eyes over on the right-hand side.
00:11Jonas getting sandwiched and shuffled to the back.
00:14There's Kunin, rockets out of the start, it's Geiser who leads the way.
00:18Kunin folds it in half, he goes down, is that the championship done for him?
00:24He's picking himself up, he's a bit second-hand, he looks like he got hit in the back.
00:28Fevre emerges unscathed.
00:34But who was that that went down? Was that Jonas that went down there? I think it was.
00:38And look, he's gone, he's stuck in the mud, trying to get going from bad to worse.
00:43That's Jonas down there, number 41, in turn 4, at the end of the straight.
00:48Here's Fevre in 3rd place, so Hernes, Geiser, Fevre, Fernandes, Jonas, who was in 5th place.
00:55On that opening lap, Guadagnini then will move up, so too.
01:01Bonacorte, Blaner, Keertz, Brumman, Rogers, and then Koldenhoff.
01:07So talk about highs and lows in the blink of an eye.
01:17So much going on. Was it Hurling's that grabbed the hole shot? Was it Kunin? Was it Geiser?
01:23Looked like it might have been Geiser. And if that's the case, Tim Geiser with his first foxhole shot of the campaign.
01:35Unbelievably.
01:39And for Geiser, the 243 hasn't scored a foxhole shot since Lombok 2, the second of the Indonesian rounds.
01:55And that's Geiser in race two. So that is some going. But at the moment, with Lucas Kunin in 21st place, still circulating.
02:06And Fevre in 3rd place. The gap 56 points at the top of the championship.
02:12Fevre needs to win. If Kunin doesn't finish, still a very, very long way to go.
02:16That is the, the projection in terms of, you know, your worst case scenario in terms of if you're Lucas Kunin and Abba Nicali and Red Bull KJ in factor racing.
02:24If he doesn't finish it, then Fevre wins. But as you can see, this race getting off to an explosive start.
02:30Hurling's leads away. Geiser second, Fevre in 3rd. Not going to be going up to win the championship.
02:35And Kunin already into the points anyway. He's up in the 20th.
02:40When that stat became apparent, it was like Abba's going to go down to the final round.
02:45Can't see either of those scenarios happening here in this race, in this final race, for one reason or another.
02:50But Kunin looked like he was on fire, getting out of the gate, swept around the turn and ironically fell in the same corner that Sacha Kunin fell when he was chasing Adamo in race two.
03:01Don't worry, no spoiler alerts. What could be the positions or what happened?
03:06But both Kunins sampling the dirt in turn two in that second race so far.
03:14The view from above.
03:19Fevre heading towards us in the opposite direction. Fernandez behind him, then Philandren.
03:26Here is Kunin behind the 41 at Porsche Jonas.
03:30Jonas. Jonas in 19th place.
03:41Talk about one of those weekends where, metaphorically, the wheels have just fallen off this championship charge.
03:47Pit boards will be interesting.
03:56Just giving him time and positions.
04:02As he goes past Pit Lang.
04:05So he's going to have to dig even deeper than he did in qualifying.
04:11And the race one.
04:13Ah, gifting off the side of the track.
04:15And Prunier was cruising, so there's going to be a couple of positions here in quick succession for Lucas Kunin.
04:22So gifting then, dropping down the order.
04:27I think he was in 10th place.
04:29Prunier.
04:36Yeah, look, there's gifting off the side of the track.
04:39It's okay, but looking a little bit second hand there.
04:43As Hurley sets the fastest lap of the race so far on that opening lap.
04:48So Kunin all of a sudden up into 18th place with his move on.
04:51Prunier.
05:04Talk about conditions.
05:07I want to see a replay of Jonas through the waves there because I saw some riders riding with long visors just to combat the low sun.
05:16Jonas ducked his head there to avoid roost, but he's riding visorless after he buried his head in the ground.
05:20On the opening lap through turn, well, going into turn four.
05:24So he went to duck his head.
05:26There's obviously nothing to deflect, so would have taken a face full of roost there.
05:32Just out of Jonas.
05:33It's the 34 of Levi Rogers of Australia.
05:45Rogers in race one.
05:47Ended up in 23rd place.
05:50Hoping to score some points here in race two if he can.
05:56Siwa down in 24th.
05:58Gifting.
05:59Well, Siwa didn't finish the first lap.
06:01Right.
06:02Take a look at the start then.
06:03Kunin.
06:07Kunin.
06:08Middle of the left.
06:09Leaning across now.
06:11Got himself inside.
06:14Guys have got it, but watch this here.
06:16Folds the front.
06:17He goes down.
06:18Riders running in the back of him.
06:19Was one of those riders.
06:20I don't know.
06:21Just trying to work out who the Yamaha rider was that ran into the back of him there.
06:22Because it was two or three of them that had the opportunity.
06:24Anyway.
06:25Back with the action.
06:26Hurlings leads.
06:27Geiser.
06:28By two seconds.
06:29Vembra another three seconds further back.
06:30Put the flag out now.
06:31It's a Hurlings-Geiser-Vembra podium.
06:32Geiser on the podium for the first time.
06:336 round 5.
06:346 round 5.
06:356.
06:367.
06:379.
06:388.
06:399.
06:408.
06:419.
06:429.
06:4310.
06:4410.
06:4510.
06:4610.
06:4711.
06:4811.
06:4911.
06:5012.
06:5112.
06:5213.
06:5312.
06:5413.
06:5514.
06:5614.
06:5714.
06:5814.
06:5915.
07:0015.
07:01where he went five podiums in a row, and that was a win, of course.
07:13Except for Geiser, from the HRC, knows that if he reverses the position that he's in,
07:19because Geoffrey Hurling's winning race one, Geiser second in race two.
07:23Geiser finds his way past, guess what, top seven of the podium, Hurling's second.
07:27So a lot riding on it between these two, personal pride between the two five-time world champions.
07:35Obviously a lot written about these two in recent weeks.
07:40Of course, Tim Geiser not good at basketball, and Geoffrey Hurling's probably thinking about his next car purchase.
07:46But at the moment, our first and second in the race.
07:55Here's Fernandes, he's in fourth, he's got Roman Fevreut just ahead of him in third place.
08:00Fevreut will get the pit boards, just saying Lucas Coonan is in 20th, Lucas Coonan's in 18th place.
08:06Then it'll be in 17th place. And as long as he's behind him, he knows he's taken another step towards that second world title.
08:14So at the moment, this one proving to be quite a pivotal Grand Prix in that 2025 World Championship chase.
08:25Coonan about a second behind Zach Watson, the other Australian who's lost two positions to Renault and Jonas.
08:33I think it was Renault that ran into the back of Coonan in that first turn, or certainly got held up, because he's now up to 14th place.
08:44Follandre in his fifth, here it's in seventh.
08:46So a rider who finished third in race one, and was eyeing up a podium potentially,
08:50while also finding himself leaving here around sixth overall.
08:54So he's still got some work to do.
08:57Fevreut and Fernandes here.
09:00I'm sure there'll be much resistance from Roman Fevreut if Rupert Fernandes tries to make a move from any outside.
09:07Whoa, they were very close there though, weren't they?
09:12Whoa, I'll tell you what, he's definitely rubbing them up the wrong way, isn't he here?
09:17Follandre doesn't need to get involved like that, but Rupert Fernandes just saying,
09:21you know what, I'm in it to get as good a result as possible, whether you're going to be potential world champion or not,
09:27on the podium or not, I've got to find a way past.
09:30If I'm going to rough you up, I'm going to do exactly that.
09:33Follandre doesn't need to get involved in this scrap, but that's exactly what he's doing.
09:40Bar to bar, at the end of lap four, Fernandes will go through into third place.
09:46But there was a very close moment when they came in to land.
09:51Where it looked like Fernandes just got pitched and took off a little bit skew and got more distance, more speed than Fevreut.
10:01They were almost into the side of each other.
10:04By the time they landed, that would have been one of those game changers in the championship as well, had both riders gone down.
10:12And this was the move around the outside. Commitment from Fernandes.
10:22Fernandes now into third place. Sets the fastest time in sector one.
10:30One to one. As he goes after Tim Geiser, his teammate, who's seven seconds further up the track.
10:38Overall podium now looks like this. Hurlings, Geiser, Fernandes.
10:43So that move on Fevreut puts him down to four, tied on 36 points with Ruben Fernandes.
10:50So that one will sting. But again, at the same time, Romain Fevreut, who only been off the podium twice this year.
11:02Round two in Spain. Round 17 in the Netherlands. For the third time this year, looking at maybe not being on the podium.
11:09He's got the bigger picture in mind. Didn't want to get involved in that battle with Ruben Fernandes.
11:14Of course he didn't. He'll be relying on the Spaniard now just to maybe sort of like keep pushing for the next 18, 19 minutes.
11:20And then maybe burn himself out. But will that happen? Have to wait to see.
11:25Fernandes, who hasn't been on the podium since his back-to-back podiums around seven and eight. Sort of Portugal.
11:33And then Galicia, the Blue Goat. His third box visit of the year.
11:42Both of those were third place finishes as well.
11:44Fevera's at the half. Megan looking on. Keeping tabs. I'm sure their hearts were in their mouths when they saw Fernandes and Fevera getting mighty close mid-air a couple of laps ago.
12:01Her next two seconds clear of Geisel. Fernandes, 7.56 seconds further back than Fevera.
12:07Happy to sit there in fourth. He's dropped off the pace to the tune of two and a half seconds.
12:12And he knows he's got four and a half over Vellandren.
12:14Meanwhile, Lucas Cootland has an advanced Fever that's 16th.
12:18He's behind Kevin Brumman as Renault goes into 12th.
12:22And we've on Prime Vogels.
12:23Roman Fevera. There's what it looks like in terms of the championship.
12:37Fevera on 9.29.
12:39Kunan on 8.80.
12:4149 points.
12:42Not enough to be crowned world champion here today, of course.
12:45But it does take the pressure off massively going into the final round if things can stay as they are.
12:50Kawasaki never won the title in the Premier Class.
12:57Will this be the year?
13:122021 was one of those seasons where we had three riders separated by three points with three rounds to go.
13:17If you remember, it was Hurlins who won out.
13:20That battle over Roman Fevera.
13:25In the end, here's Kunan.
13:27Roman ahead of him.
13:31Roman on the MX-Handler Husqvarna.
13:35Kunan on the inside.
13:36Moves into 15th place.
13:39Every point's going to count.
13:40Next rider in his line of sight eventually will be Brian Bogers.
13:56Bogers occupying 14th for a Factic Factory Racing.
13:58Jonas is up to 13th, so he's found his way past Bogers.
14:15Which is why Bogers now starting to work his way towards Kunan.
14:20Who's just ahead of the Belgian.
14:25But it's Hurlins who continues to lead.
14:26Gleiser 2nd, Fernandes 3rd, Fevera 4th.
14:29Calvin Bellana on his spin.
14:31Andrea Bonacors is 6th, Iago Kietz 7th, Guadagnini 8th.
14:34Colton of 9th, Ben Watson 10th.
14:35Good ride that for Ben Watson, who was just in the points in race 1 in 20th position.
14:41So he's obviously got a good start here this time around and occupying that 10th place.
14:45But the overall podium at the moment, Hernández, Gleiser, Fernandes.
14:58Fernandes tied with Fevera on 36th for that 3rd step.
15:01Here is Maxime Renault.
15:02I think it was he that went down in the 2nd turn with Kunan.
15:08And obviously, you go from high to low.
15:11Where you go from almost winning the first race to getting a kick up the backside when Hurlins and Gleiser came through.
15:17But you salvaged a 3rd and you know you go in the race 2.
15:20Thinking, you know what?
15:21Podium is on the cards here.
15:23Get through the first couple of corners.
15:26And then you potentially go down.
15:30Maxime Renault has looked good this weekend.
15:33More like his usual old self.
15:35It's going to be 5th overall as it stands right now.
15:3929 points.
15:40Vevera on 36th.
15:42And Fernandes on 36th.
15:46So it's not over yet.
15:48Here's Vellandrin in 5th.
15:506.5 seconds behind Roman Vevera.
15:55Vellandrin looking at 7th overall.
15:5714 minutes plus 2 to go.
16:07How much of this race is riders feeling the heat from race 1.
16:13As in the exertions that they put in on themselves.
16:17Slight error there for CV10.
16:19You go into the first race and think, you know what?
16:22Let's try and preserve some energy for race 2.
16:25Of course then you get yourself into little matters and scraps here and there.
16:28And it doesn't quite pan out the way that you expect it to.
16:32Then you go into race 2 thinking, okay let's just leave everything on the line.
16:35Or do we go into preservation mode again?
16:38Once you sort of see where you're at in the greater scheme of things.
16:41Well, here's Andrea Bonaporsi who is in 6th place about 4.5 seconds behind Calvin Volandrin.
16:50He'll be hoping for moves in the latter stages of the race if he can.
16:53And he's just behind his teammate Koltunov in race 1.
16:57Those two were 7th and 8th.
17:02But in terms of that battle for 3rd in the championship.
17:05Koltunov, 66 points clear Fernandes.
17:10That'll be good enough for 3rd overall in the championship.
17:13With a round to go for Glenn Koltunov.
17:16So, Koltunov circulating in 9th place.
17:19Fernandes in 3rd.
17:21Doesn't look like at this moment that Fernandes is going to bounce onto these two.
17:25Hurlington Geiser who are going now for a personal pride for that top step of the podium.
17:30Koltunov can't afford to lose positions.
17:33Certainly can't afford to lose 6th position, put it that way.
17:36Because 60 points might not be enough.
17:38As it goes down to race wins.
17:40And actually, Koltunov has 1 race win.
17:43Actually, Basin Fernandes doesn't have a race win.
17:47So if they did tie, it would go down to race wins.
17:50So, Koltunov has 2 ticks against his name at the moment.
17:53Can that battle for 3rd?
17:57Hurlings was very tired.
18:00Physically, mentally, after that first race.
18:01The exertion that he put on himself just to get onto the rear wheel of Maxime Renault.
18:06To push for the win.
18:07Take the win.
18:11The same may have been said for Tim Geiser as well.
18:14Because those two eventually only finished 2.5 seconds apart when all was said and done.
18:21At the end of 17 laps of racing.
18:24They are 1.1 seconds apart here on lap 9.
18:27And it looks like Geiser is looking interested here.
18:34He's whittled down that gap.
18:36He's all over the Mecca Hurlings.
18:37Will there be a response from the number 84 if there's a challenge, a significant challenge from Geiser.
18:49Clean, 8 laps, minus 1.
18:51Geiser was the message.
18:52A long 3 weeks on the road for bikes and riders.
19:06Some, like KTM, Husqvarna, I think they rode a bike in Turkey there.
19:11They had 2 bikes shipped here that hadn't touched dirt in Turkey.
19:16But some, the bikes they raced in Turkey being brought here, they were going to Australia.
19:21So at least this weekend, at least these two riders here running a bike that was fresh this weekend and will be relatively new when they head down under a week from now.
19:40Oh, Geiser folds the front.
19:44Had 3 or 4 stabs at that corner.
19:47Was he just pushing too hard?
19:48He stays on two wheels.
19:50But with 10 plus 2 to go.
19:54Is that his challenge?
19:56Watch this here.
19:57He does everything right and then folds the front.
19:59Ah, wrestling the front end.
20:01Stays upright, but the gap now between Hurlings and Geiser.
20:08What is it, about 1.5, 2 seconds?
20:10Says 1.6 at the moment, but as we hit sector 2, Hurlings goes through now.
20:15The gap 2.4 seconds, so a bit of respite there for Geoffrey Hurlings.
20:21Bonacorsi and Iago Kiercz here.
20:25Kiercz challenging the Italian this 4.6 position.
20:34Iago Kiercz in terms of that 6th place, 7th position.
20:39Been one of those seasons, he got a 7th in race 2 in the Netherlands a couple of rounds ago.
20:44And he got a 6th in Finland, race 2, round 13.
20:49Or is this round 19?
20:52You can see now the shadows being cast from right to left as they dropped into that turn a moment ago.
21:04That will have its bearing on the race track.
21:07Long shadows as the riders come through these turns now as well.
21:09So, looks like the equivalent of winter sun.
21:14Bonacorsi knows he's got his hands full here.
21:16Because Bonacorsi was about 4 seconds behind Vallandre and he's now 9.3 behind South African.
21:23This is a good effort from Iago Kiercz.
21:29He'll be looking at 10th overall if he stays where he is.
21:32He'll only gain a point if he finds his way past Bonacorsi, so he'll stay in that 10th overall.
21:378.5 minutes plus 2 laps to go.
21:48Kiercz has let off.
21:52Keeps him 2.2 seconds behind the bullet.
21:56I just wonder if that was a warning sign for the Slovenians just to say,
22:00OK, keep it on two wheels, get a podium.
22:05Could be second overall, could have been first.
22:07You never know. 8 minutes to go, he might get second wind.
22:10And throw the gauntlet at Hurlings, who might just get comfortable in that lead position.
22:16It's quite an evening.
22:18Because Siwa and Gifting not finishing that opening lap.
22:23Siwa was involved in that incident with Gifting as well.
22:26We saw only Gifting on the side of the track, but no news on Siwa.
22:29Siwa didn't even get through sector 1, so this Gifting made it through the first 3 sectors.
22:34So that's your answer right there.
22:36Although, Siwa went through sector 2 and 3.
22:43Didn't finish the lap.
22:45So that would have been straight into pit lane then.
22:49If that was the case.
22:55Quite an evening here in 9.
22:59Maxim Renaud behind him.
23:00Closing in every point vital for the Frenchman.
23:04Renaud just 5 points away from the podium of Fernandes.
23:14But of course, Roman Fevre is also tied for the podium in 4th place.
23:20So he needs 6 passes here.
23:22Certainly 5 at the very least.
23:23Well, 6 passes he does here.
23:25Or 6 points I'll say.
23:27Guadagnini.
23:28Aruba.it Ducati.
23:29Still in that.
23:3010th place.
23:31Renault going by.
23:32Quite comfortably in the air.
23:33Renault now up to 9th.
23:37Monocorsi still under attack from Iago Chietzo.
23:38Yeah, it's still in that.
23:39It's still in that.
23:4010th place.
23:41Renault going by.
23:42Quite comfortably in the air.
23:43Renault now up to 9th.
23:44Monocorsi still under attack from Iago Chietzo.
23:45Yeah, Renault 5 seconds quicker than Guadagnini.
23:482 seconds quicker than Koltnov who's a second and a half at the track.
23:52now to 9th.
24:02Monokorsi still under attack from Iago Chietzo.
24:06Yeah Renault 5 seconds quicker than Guadagnini, 2 seconds quicker than Koldnoff who's a second and a half at the track,
24:12second quicker than Chietzo who's just ahead here. So there could be, you know what,
24:18another three scalps here, maybe four, for Maxime Renault who's just got his head down and digging in.
24:26So that podium is not guaranteed for Ruben Fernandes just yet.
24:30He hits get closed off there by the Italian, thinks about squaring up to him and charging down the inside then thought better of it.
24:38This is turn 9 and 10.
24:42Let's see how rutty and lonely the circuit is.
24:57Kietz, 9 seconds clear of Renault who's found his way past Koldnoff as well, up into 8th place.
25:02So Maxime Renault is on the charge and so is Iago Kietz, he gets alongside Monokorsi and moves up into 6th place.
25:20Renault is the rider on the charge at the moment.
25:22Kietz is 9 seconds behind, Monokorsi but 1.55, 1.57, that was the previous line for the French and the Italian.
25:32He's still got some miles to manage, if he is to make that podium.
25:46Maxime Renault maybe is higher up as 4th place, Ruben and Vevra but the gap between those two at the moment.
25:51Vevra 22 seconds off the lead, Renault, yeah it's another 20 odd seconds in it so not going to happen I don't think.
25:57As you said, strange things have happened.
26:01Lucas Koonan, 14th.
26:06Looking behind, just as he was in race 1.
26:10Watch this here, this is Koonan going down there, he folds himself in half.
26:17Two Yamahas, slightly avoid I think.
26:22That was Renault, as predicted, into the back.
26:25That's why he's had to find his way through traffic.
26:34Romain Fevra on 9.29, at the top of the championship.
26:40Koonan on 8.82, gap 47 points.
26:44Koonan there in 14th place, Romain Fevra in 4th position.
26:4960 points up for grabs a week from now, of course this race isn't done yet either.
26:54Geoffrey Hurling's keeping that gap more than two and a half seconds over Tim Geiser.
27:05Is he getting stronger as this race goes on?
27:08Oh, wasn't able to get over there, just maybe caught an edge actually.
27:16Didn't attack cleanly.
27:18It cost him a little bit of time, we'll soon find out.
27:21Sector 1 now, in that turn, he goes through in 27.1.
27:25Tim Geiser, 27.3.
27:27So, yeah, Geiser not able to capitalise on that short jump from the number 84.
27:32And that's third, he's 10 seconds at the back.
27:44Renault, up past Bonacorsi, very quickly.
27:47And he's only six seconds behind the Argo kids.
27:52So Renault, still charging forward.
28:02Romain Fevra here in 4th.
28:07Looking at a 47 point gap at the moment.
28:12Now, heading into that final round.
28:19Gain of 21 points this weekend.
28:24Here's Volandrin.
28:2622 seconds behind Fevra.
28:27Fevra's lap time last time around, 1.59.6.
28:33Volandrin at 1.55.8.
28:35Is there an opportunity here for Volandrin to find his way past Fevra,
28:39take two points away from the Kawasaki rider,
28:42and give them into the pocket of Lucas Coonan,
28:46who would much rather have them in his pocket
28:48at this stage of the race, this stage of the weekend,
28:52maybe even this stage of the championship.
28:58I'm sure Fevra has just been in cruise mode,
29:03knowing that Coonan is behind him.
29:05We asked on the studio show a week ago,
29:08Geoffrey Hurling's experience over youth,
29:10and he said experience.
29:12We asked Ben Watson yesterday in the studio show,
29:14experience over youth, and he said the same.
29:16And for places like this here,
29:19with the heat, with the humidity,
29:21those kind of conditions on the 450 as well.
29:23And right now, those kind of predictions from the Bullitt and Watson,
29:29in terms of how they thought the championship could go,
29:33over the next three rounds, starting to ring true.
29:40Fevra put himself in a very good position at the start,
29:43so too did Coonan, until he got to turn two.
29:45That's the gap between first and second, three seconds, 3.1.
29:47That was very close to the outside edge of that track marker there,
29:56as he pressed in that first little single.
30:04Renault, 1.7 seconds behind Iago Kietz,
30:07let alone to give him 35 points,
30:12still a point shy of the podium.
30:26That gap's still comfortable for the race leader.
30:303.1 now clear, Tim Geiser.
30:32Who is looking at second overall in this GP.
30:44Start of the year, five podiums in a row.
30:48Third, two wins, a third and a win.
30:50Then Switzerland happened, took him out of the campaign,
30:53came back in Sweden, 12th overall.
30:56He's had a pair of fourth place finishers the last couple of rounds,
30:58so this is still considered progress.
31:02Maybe just managing to shake off things like arm pump now as well.
31:08After such a long layoff, not the easiest thing to get rid of.
31:19Renault is going his way past Ski, it's 11 seconds behind Vallandre.
31:22Pressing right that from Max and Renault to get to sixth.
31:39After going down in turn one, when you look where he picked himself up,
31:42as Kooning was still picking himself up, Kooning in 14th though.
31:44So, something clearly amiss with the Belgian this weekend.
31:57Gleiser just starting to chip away again at Hurling's lead.
32:01He's got it down to less than three seconds, now down to 2.6.
32:04Is there going to be a late charge here from Tiga?
32:20There's your gap.
32:22And that might be your answer.
32:24Tim Gleiser gets a sniff, all of a sudden, game back on.
32:27We're down to 1.6 seconds and we're hitting the Dragons back.
32:29We're going into the final lap.
32:30Maybe Tim Gleiser has just charged his time-discharge to perfection here.
32:39Hurlings would have had a pit-ball a couple of laps ago saying,
32:41yeah, three seconds.
32:43Maybe not expecting the threat from behind, but then these guys,
32:48five-time world champions, both of them, very good at managing races.
32:53Their race craft is immaculate, impeccable.
32:55And we've got a game on, a race on here on the final lap.
32:58These two separated by about a second.
33:05It's Hurlings in the driving seat, Gleiser the chaser.
33:10Two-thirds of a lap to go.
33:17No way to cruise to the chequered flag for an easy victory.
33:22Oh, saves that well.
33:28Had a bit of a bobble.
33:29Geiser, good drive.
33:31Going to take a different line through this turn.
33:33Hurlings legging his way through and inside.
33:34Difficult, deep ruts.
33:36Geiser has him right in his line of sight.
33:39Where is the opportunity going to come, though, if he gets close enough?
33:42It's close enough.
33:52Into the left-hander.
33:55Gleiser and Hurlings separated by a bike length.
33:59Almost come to a stop in the left-hander here.
34:01Don't need lap times, you don't need intermediate sections to give us a split.
34:09This is it.
34:11Half a dozen corners to go.
34:14Both pit crews will be urging on their riders, they go down past pit lane.
34:18They both know this is the overall Grand Prix on the line.
34:20As we said, personal pride between these two.
34:24Giants of the sport.
34:27Two corners to go, though.
34:29Time running out for Tiger.
34:33Good effort.
34:34Good charge.
34:36But it's going to be Hurlings who rounds out the final turn.
34:39Hurlings will win here in China.
34:41He goes 1-1.
34:43The gap, six tenths of a second in it.
34:47That has taken its toll once more.
34:5031 years young.
34:52Jeffrey Hurlings probably doesn't feel 31.
34:55Probably feels more like 108.
34:57The bullet after his performance here this weekend.
35:00Tim Geis is slightly younger but still in his 20s.
