00:00We'll take a look at top-ranked Texas A&M squaring off against South Carolina.
00:05Last year, A&M went on the road to Williams-Brice as a two-and-a-half-point road favorite.
00:10They came out with a 44-20 loss to the hands of Lenora Sellers and the Gamecocks.
00:16They got dominated on the ground coach by the Gamecocks' rushing attack.
00:21Now Lenora Sellers potentially out.
00:24He's looking to transfer maybe to another school like Miami.
00:28So new starting quarterback for the Gamecocks coming out of a bye week off a four-game losing streak.
00:35I don't know if they win, Coach, but 18-and-a-half, 19 points, knowing the gauntlet that Texas A&M has had,
00:43there's no doubt the Aggies win at home in Kyle Field.
00:46But I'm going to take the dog with the points in this matchup.
00:49Yeah, I have a tough on this one, God.
00:52When the points get that high against a team that's always played good football,
00:55but I'm going to go with Texas A&M for a couple reasons.
00:58One, not only is Lenora pretty much gone, I mean, the word is he's in the portal.
01:03He's not going to play more.
01:04He's looking for a dull home.
01:06They fire their offensive coordinator.
01:07They fire their offensive line coach.
01:09You don't know who's calling the shots here.
01:11I don't know how you do all that and still have somebody out there working on the game plan like you'd like to have it.
01:17So, my concern there is I'm not sure South Carolina is going to have to put a lot of points,
01:22going to be able to put a lot of points on the board at all.
01:24Without Lenora Sellers, I don't know if they put any points on the wall.
01:28And then all of a sudden, 19 points isn't that much, you know, if you're not scoring at all on offense.
01:33But that's a lot of points.
01:34Normally, I wouldn't like it.
01:35But with all the people they've changed, with the quarterback deciding he wants to pull out and jump into the portal,
01:41I don't know that plan B at South Carolina is all that close to Texas A&M.
01:47Do you think that Beamer stays in Columbia with the Gamecocks,
01:54knowing potentially that writing is on the wall?
01:57He hasn't lived up to expectations.
01:59Big picture, he's been inconsistent.
02:02One year up, one year down.
02:04Their win total this year was eight and a half.
02:06He had one of the best quarterbacks from the Heisman odds perspective in the offseason,
02:11with Sellers having basically a top-ten price.
02:15Thoughts about Beamer?
02:16Does he potentially move on, going back to his dad's alma mater, Virginia Tech,
02:21looking for a new head coach?
02:23You know, he's got a dose of reality is what he's got.
02:26You know, I've coached in the SEC.
02:28And in the SEC, over the years, South Carolina has not been a program you can build a winner consistently.
02:34It just does not consistently compete for championships in the SEC.
02:40Virginia Tech has had a lot of years under Beamer's dad, as successful he was.
02:45Because I think now at the end of the season, if it doesn't get too ugly, I would be looking at Virginia Tech.
02:52Because there's such a loyalty to his name and his family.
02:56That is a place in the SEC where you can have a little more success, or the pressure is not on as much there.
03:03And so, although I would say, okay, which one's a better job?
03:07Theoretically, South Carolina in the SEC.
03:09But longevity, comfort, family feel-good type of atmosphere.
03:14Virginia Tech's probably looking a lot better right now.
03:16We'll see.
03:17The other game is a rivalry game with two teams at the bottom now of the conference odds.
03:23We look at Arkansas winless in the SEC this year.
03:27They're coming out of a bye week, 0-5 in conference play.
03:31They're 2-7 overall.
03:33And LSU, off their disappointing road loss at the hands of Alabama, they lost it by 11 and didn't cover the 10.5-point number.
03:42We know about Michael Van Buren getting a start.
03:45He's burning his red shirt for LSU.
03:48I mean, what do we expect out of both of these teams?
03:51It's not a late-night kick in Baton Rouge, 1245 Eastern time.
03:56I lean to the over.
03:57I think we could get points, 56.5 with Talon Green and the explosiveness of Arkansas.
04:04Well, and I think I like that because LSU has said, let's throw caution to the wind.
04:10Let's get a dual-threat quarterback.
04:11Let's change what we're doing and do something else.
04:14That could give them a first because when you lose your coach, the further you get away from that coaching change, the more your kids lose.
04:21And after we see what has happened to Lenore Sellers, we have to wonder how many players on those two teams are already being contacted.
04:30And they're telling these kids, don't get hurt.
04:32Be careful out there.
04:34If you have a little bummed up, get yourself off the field.
04:36All these things start to come into play.
04:38But I do like the fact that LSU has said, let's go out there, put the other quarterback in, give him a shot.
04:45You can always go back to the other quarterback if he doesn't play well.
04:48But it gives you a dual-threat.
04:49It gives you a chance to go out there and match points.
04:52So, again, two teams that don't have a bright future this year.
04:56But I think this ought to be a pretty fun game, to be honest with you.
