For a Christmas of Peace Among Peoples... Now more than ever, this Christmas represents a wish for a world of peace, considering current global tensions. It is not just a holiday, but a silent cry of hope, and its deepest essence becomes an appeal to human brotherhood, a call that transcends borders, flags, and ethnic and religious differences. With this thought, a collaboration between image and narrative, between visual communication and creative writing, poetry becomes matter that allows us to reflect and create, dialoguing with the sequences of a video. Therefore, the "LabPoetando" workshop by Sandra Luccioni with Class 2A of the Lower Secondary School, in collaboration with the Art and Image discipline, aims to be a valid and established way to exercise language while also finding new registers, bringing out emotions and/or giving meaning to those of others through "collective tracing poetry" that involved the entire Class 2A. Through generative Artificial Intelligence, we created a short film with the theme "Peace Among Peoples" linked to this Christmas as a universal womb of brotherhood.
IF I WERE CHRISTMAS If I were fire I would illuminate the Earth and, as in an embrace, I would warm it. If I were wind I would make the snow dance down from the sky ugly thoughts and all anger I would exile. If I were water I would reach the deserts and to every child I would offer myself. If I were emperor, you know what I would do? Justice and freedom among the people I would spread and castles to the homeless I would offer. If I were war I would flee far away into a pillow fight for happy children I would transform myself. If I were peace Hugs to everyone and with love I would flood the world. If I were Christmas, as I am and was to everyone a true friend I would bring. CLASS 2A - Lower Secondary School - ORTE (VT) ITALY
