00:00We are very happy to celebrate Christmas. It's a feast of joy.
00:04Also, it's a feast of peace for us.
00:06You know, at the birth of Jesus, the angels sang glory to God in the highest
00:13and peace to people of all goodwill.
00:16And so this peace, if it's missing, perhaps the Christmas is not only not enjoyable,
00:23cannot be celebrated.
00:25So therefore, we pray for peace.
00:27And our efforts for peace start, we say, starts from each person.
00:31Unless you have peace in yourself, you can't exchange peace with the others.
00:37Peace in the families, you know, the families are also much in crisis now.
00:41And unfortunately, the neighborhoods, the state, the country, and also the world,
00:46there is no peace.
00:48And in order to have peace, first of all, we have to have a good intention to make peace.
00:54If I am making conditions for peace, if I am making so many demands
00:59that you should do this, you should do that, perhaps there is not possibility.
01:04For peace, dialogue is necessary, very much necessary.
01:08And we have to see the other side, what it means.
01:11You know, the Holy Father Pope Francis, these days, we are speaking of a term called synodality.
01:17And the word synodality, the most important element of synodality is to listen.
01:23It's to listen to the other person.
01:25Listen to the other people who are listening.
01:28It's not only speaking.
01:30Perhaps peace is not possible when it is one-sided.
01:33When one side wants peace at hit conditions in your particular situations, it's not possible.
01:39It's only when we listen to the other side.
01:42When we perhaps also dialogue in a fruitful manner, peace will be possible.
01:48And so, I would be very happy if the Feast of Christmas, the Feast of Christians
01:53gives in some way initiative for peace in the world.
