00:00We're going to start in the Big Ten.
00:01You've got a big one.
00:02Iowa just had that heartbreaking loss with Oregon at home and Kinnick.
00:08Everything that you wanted.
00:09I mean, Kirk Herbstreet almost called the exact same score, just opposite.
00:13It was all trending Iowa's way, and now they lost that.
00:16They go on the road.
00:17They're ranked.
00:18You've got USC, who out-physicaled their brand physical Michigan team in the Coliseum.
00:26Iowa coming to town.
00:27I think it's like minus six and a half going into that game.
00:30How do you see that shaking out?
00:33Yeah, Schlegs, last week we talked about it as well, right?
00:35Iowa staying within the number, basically decided in a field goal game.
00:39We said it was going to be decided by one possession.
00:42Who would make the lack of mistakes?
00:44Who would not be the team putting the ball in harm's way or having costly penalties and turnovers?
00:49We thought Iowa was built for that game.
00:51It was actually the Hawkeyes with the fumbled snap or the bad snap on the punt that led to the safety
00:56at a two-point margin and a turnover from Caden Weijin when they were driving that led to an Oregon field goal.
01:03That was the difference.
01:04Iowa's still a very disciplined team, and this is going to look like Kinnick Stadium last Saturday,
01:09probably not as cold, but with downpours in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon.
01:14The weather forecast in the Midwest in Iowa City, far better than that of downtown L.A. on Saturday.
01:20So USC is going to have to play some more Big Boy Big Ten football, as they did at home,
01:25beating Michigan for the first-ranked win in the Coliseum since Lincoln Riley's first year of 2022,
01:31looking for a second consecutive against a ranked opponent.
01:34We saw that for Southern Cal last week.
01:36They dominated Northwestern in a game where the Wildcats could present some of those issues.
01:41Iowa got dominated up front by the Ducks.
01:44Dan Lanning has built his team to be physical up front.
01:47Iowa allowed more than seven yards per carry.
01:50They were limited to less than two and a half yards per pop for what had been such a dynamic rushing offense this year.
01:56Ultimately, Schlegs, it's a very similar conversation to what we had last week.
02:00Who was ready to win that game in the trenches if the weather does not cooperate,
02:05as it does not seem like it is going to, on Saturday in L.A.?
02:08I think Iowa stays within the number once again.
02:11USC has been great on the ground, and they will continue to need to be.
02:15But they did allow Northwestern better than five yards per carry.
02:19Some of the defensive improvements early in the year have started to vanquish for SC.
02:24I think Iowa gets back on track.
02:26And last week, everybody was picking the Hawkeyes to pull off the small outright upset.
02:30This week, not as much.
02:32I keep on Iowa.
02:33I keep an eye on Iowa, rather.
02:35Playing spoiler in the Coliseum on Saturday.
02:37I keep on track.
