A comforting but new side dish to introduce to your Thanksgiving table! 00:00classic green beans au gratin let's go ahead and get started by prepping our beans once those are
00:05topped let's go ahead and cut them in half they're ready to cook in some boiling water
00:09but not just any boiling water some very very generously salted boiling water we want this
00:15just barely tender we'll go ahead and fish those out into a big bowl of cold water transfer those
00:20into a very generously buttered casserole dishwasher pan season this up with some
00:24freshly ground black pepper kosher salt dijon mustard give that a nice mix until everything's
00:29well coated pour in our heavy cream once our beans have been creamed it's time to scatter over our
00:33grated cheese i'm only using two ounces of grated comte for this i'm going to finish up with a
00:38little bit of freshly grated parmesan we're going to finish this off with some buttered breadcrumbs
00:42a few shakes of cayenne at which point it's ready to transfer into the center of a 450 degree oven
00:49for about 15 or 20 minutes or until it's beautifully browned and bubbling it looks like this i let mine
00:55cool down a little bit before i went in for a taste
