A measles alert has been issued for several Sydney locations - including Saturday’s Oasis concert.

00:00New South Wales health authorities have issued an urgent measles outbreak warning after a
00:08traveller from Queensland who attended last Saturday's Oasis concert at Accor Stadium
00:13unknowingly travelled to the city while contagious with the virus, potentially exposing thousands.
00:20New South Wales health authorities say the exposure window runs from Saturday the 8th
00:25of November to Monday the 10th of November including potential exposure points in the
00:31CBD as well as on Sydney trains. Among the exposure points include Sydney Airport's domestic terminal
00:38T2 between 12 20 and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Accor Stadium on Saturday night as well as multiple
00:47locations in the CBD on Saturday between 3 p.m. and 5 30 p.m. On Sunday there are also
00:55multiple exposure points in the inner western suburb of Newtown with New South Wales health
01:01authorities also warning there could be a number of exposures on Saturday on the New South Wales train
01:07services. New South Wales health are urging anyone who may have been exposed to monitor their symptoms
01:13for the next 18 days. Symptoms include a red blotchy rash, fever, sore eyes and a cough. The warnings here
01:22in New South Wales come amid a number of outbreaks across the country. Queensland Health currently
01:27investigating five cases of measles. Three have been linked to a concert in Brisbane by US country singer
01:34Jelly Roll. Western Australia currently have the most cases they have seen since 1997. There are 153 cases
01:44across Australia this year, the highest number since 2019.
