00:00Hello and welcome to the Tuning Blog Channel.
00:15Today we have a somewhat special product, namely the EcoFlow, the EcoFlow Glacier.
00:24This is the first portable refrigerator with an ice making function ever.
00:30Now you're probably wondering what this has to do with the Tuning Channel.
00:38However, in addition to typical car activities,
00:41EcoFlow also sees its area of application as being suitable for mobile applications,
00:45for example, when there's a vehicle presentation at a car dealership
00:48and you're outside under a pavilion or something like that.
00:54Then you have the option of cooling drinks, making ice cubes and so on and so forth.
00:59But more on that later.
01:00First, let's briefly talk about the scope of delivery.
01:03So, on the one hand, we have the device itself.
01:07This is what it looks like, it's a pretty powerful piece.
01:11Then there's a bracket that needs to be screwed in place.
01:14There are a few small screws for it.
01:17It basically turns the device into a trolley.
01:20That means you can transport it up and down.
01:23There are two wheels for it, which also need to be screwed in place.
01:28The packaging contains simple screws, nothing special.
01:31And then it can be pulled along like a trolley.
01:33This is the battery, which I can show you, goes into this compartment here.
01:43The connection is at the back.
01:44It is plugged in and then there is the corresponding charging cable here.
01:52This is the classic 12V charging cable.
01:56Then there is, sorry, this is of course a 220V charging cable.
02:03Then there is a 12V connection for a car and we are already familiar with the connections from the
02:08EcoFlow devices.
02:10They are also connected to the solar panels, for example.
02:15This means that you can also charge the device with the solar panel up to 240 watts,
02:20as far as I know, that should be the maximum.
02:26This is what it looks like inside.
02:29The two compartments can be cooled separately as a tough cooling compartment or used as a normal
02:34cooling compartment.
02:35And you can also use it as a single unit by removing the partition here.
02:40And yes, you can also roughly remove it, right?
02:45It always depends on what you want to transport.
02:49Exactly.
02:51I'm going to put the fun together now and then I'll show you the device as a trolley.
02:57And that's exactly what I've done now.
02:59So here are the wheels.
03:01I'll try to get them to work.
03:03Unfortunately, I don't have anyone to film today, so I'm doing everything with one hand.
03:07Uh, they're screwed together like this.
03:10Well, you don't need any tools for that.
03:12It's really simple.
03:15Then you'll find the power connection here.
03:18Just a heads up, since we're at the corner.
03:20And on the other side, the handle is attached.
03:37You fold it out here at the bottom, you can pull it accordingly and then you can move the trolley.
03:41Of course, it's quite heavy, so it's not a device that you want to drive around with all day, but the wheels make it practical and flexible.
03:59And movable.
04:03So, the startup is here.
04:06Hold it down briefly.
04:13Exactly.
04:14Then it starts and immediately shows the battery capacity.
04:19It's currently at almost 30%.
04:22I'll charge it later.
04:24Yes, everything is actually pretty clear.
04:26Temperature control here should be clear.
04:27Probably not that clear.
04:31Wait a minute.
04:32Ah yes, exactly.
04:33Compartment on the left, compartment on the right, right?
04:35Just like I showed you earlier.
04:38Here you select the compartment and then the desired temperature.
04:48So, this would be the area for non-frozen items and then here if any frozen foods or ice or whatever are to be frozen there.
04:57The current temperature is also displayed.
05:02I just activated it, right?
05:05So, other compartments are still below room temperature, but not yet cooled.
05:10And there you can see the status of the corresponding compartment.
05:14And the highlight is of course the production of ice cubes.
05:18To do this, you open the compartment here.
05:21Here's a display showing the minimum and maximum amount of water that can go in.
05:26You basically fill it in.
05:27I need a cup for that.
05:41The minimum is, I think, about 600 milliliters and I think the maximum is one liter.
05:49Let's close the compartment flat and then wait a moment, the camera is a bit out of alignment.
05:53Exactly! Then you press the ice cube function here.
06:02And then the timer starts up here.
06:05Exactly!
06:06And now it says that the ice cubes will be ready in 12 minutes.
06:10Let's see if that works.
06:12So, it's halfway through now.
06:14I can't see anything yet, no difference, everything is pretty reflective.
06:20Although there is a small white edge here.
06:23So, the first ice is already forming.
06:26Yes, it's halfway through.
06:28I've also connected the power cable.
06:29I was just curious whether that makes a difference in terms of the volume, whether it might cool down a bit more.
06:38Um, in terms of the volume increase, it's very bearable.
06:40And on the other hand, it doesn't make any difference whether it's a battery or a 12 to 220 volt connection.
06:46But what I can show you right away is the app, and it looks like this, right?
06:54You can connect it to Pluto, it's a really cool feature.
06:59You can also set the temperatures for both compartments here, right?
07:04Just like I selected earlier, depending on what you want.
07:07And then you can see here too.
07:08Okay, I don't think there's anything left to press here.
07:14Oh yeah, the time is here, sorry, right?
07:18Here you can see how long it'll take to make the ice cubes, and when it's done, it'll be displayed on the app.
07:25So, that's a really cool feature.
07:27Exactly, then there are various settings here.
07:32For example, in the vehicle, you can switch on vehicle battery protection so that the vehicle battery
07:36doesn't drain, and you can still enable the device.
07:41There's an energy saving mode if the battery runs out at some point,
07:44the company's work can be updated.
07:46Egoflow will certainly come up with something new from time to time.
07:52Yes, it's actually a really cool feature and we have two minutes left,
07:56and you can at least see that ice cubes are being formed.
08:02Whether they'll be ready in two minutes is, let's say, interesting.
08:06So, now the timer is basically counting down and then we'll see what comes out here.
08:16So, this is a first, I'm trying it for the first time.
08:21This isn't a special test that's been done before.
08:24Let's see.
08:25Okay.
08:41Oh, okay, that was a mistake on my part.
08:44Uh, you simply take the insert out.
08:46I didn't pay attention to that.
08:49So, I basically pressed it twice.
08:51So you can write again in 30 seconds.
08:55When that's done, I simply open the compartment and can take this insert out and have ready-made ice cubes.
09:00I didn't quite get that at the moment.
09:13Exactly.
09:14That's cool, of course.
09:16It worked.
09:17So the Kyberino is then more or less secured.
09:19So, now I've started the whole thing again.
09:28Now it needs significantly less power.
09:30So, if you leave it active right away,
09:31it doesn't take 12 minutes to make ice cubes again, but apparently only 7.
09:35So it's faster because the water has probably cooled down considerably by now.
09:39That's what these things look like.
09:42Wonderful.
09:42And yes, it's also on the app now, right?
09:44It's only 7 minutes left, which means you can make a whole bunch of ice cubes pretty quickly one after the other.
09:54Okay, that's it.
09:54I don't think I need to explain the cooling function to you in detail.
09:58Uh, sorry, the battery level here is 17%.
10:02That means making ice cubes almost twice has already drained a few percent, that's clear.
10:07So the battery definitely works.
10:09But I think that if there's a power connection available somewhere, all the better.
10:14Okay, all the further information is, as always, in the blog article.
10:18Uh, it's quite extensive this time.
10:22There's another link in the top right corner of the video and yes,
10:25if the product presentation convinced you or at least helped you, then leave a subscription.
10:30I'd be happy and until the next video.
10:32Ciao.
