Ex-Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given fears Eddie Howe's team are 'easier to play against' without Alexander Isak
Transcript
00:00I like Valdemar a lot, but he's a different kind of player, he's a different number nine.
00:04He drops deeper, he holds it up more, connects the game more, whereas Isak was sort of playing on the shoulder
00:09and very quick in behind, so stretching teams, you know, so maybe Newcastle are a bit easier to play against this season
00:15because they don't have the pace of Isak stretching the opposition, but they do have Alanga and Gordon and Murphy
00:20and all these players on the wings with lots of pace, you know, Barnes of course, so I think home form's been good
00:27and they're doing really well in the Champions League as well, but I think the big problem is away form,
00:31although they've won in the Premier League since April, so that's a really concern for Eddie Howe.
00:35He has to get that right pretty soon because he'll want to get back in the Champions League next year
00:38and at the minute it seems a long way away.
