Adrian Newey is 'an F1 guru', but is he a team principal?

Romain Grosjean says Adrian Newey is one of F1’s greatest engineers, but was surprised to see him made principal at Aston Martin

00:00Yeah, Aston Martin appointing Adrian U as team principal was a bit of a surprise, I've got to be honest.

00:06I mean, he's a genius. He's a Formula One, I don't know, guru in a good way.

00:12He's probably one of the best engineers that ever existed in Formula One.

00:17But I've always seen him as an engineer and never thought about him as a team principal.

00:21So I'm really curious to see how that's going to go.

00:25Aston Martin's got a lot of experience, they've got a lot of really good people.

00:30There's a lot of money being put in the team for it to be successful.

00:34They have Fernando Alonso, which is a great driver, Lance Stroll next to him, which does some good races.

00:41So they know what they're doing and they probably have a plan.
