00:00So I ran across this story.
00:01It was a crazy story about a North Dakota couple with a plot twist I did not see coming.
00:08So 51-year-old Stephen Riley Jr. was a forward.
00:12He was entitled to a large inheritance of $30 million.
00:18Whoa, I thought you were going to say like $30,000.
00:21That's like mega millions.
00:23Yeah, $30 million.
00:25Now, shortly after learning about this, he disappeared.
00:30With the money?
00:32I'm going to get to this story.
00:33Okay, I was like, I want to ask questions, but I want to let you cook.
00:36I might do the same thing with the money.
00:38That's what I was like.
00:39Whatever happened to Lopez?
00:41This is either nefarious or he did the smartest thing in the world.
00:43He disappeared.
00:44So here's the story about this guy and what the hell happened.
00:50Boyfriend and girlfriend, they've been together for 10 years.
00:52The man found out that he inherited $30 million.
00:56And his girlfriend found out that he was planning on leaving her.
01:01He starts feeling ill.
01:02Well, you guessed it, he dies.
01:05And you guessed it, she poisoned him.
01:09Miss Knoyer, such a Dakota name, not quite easy on the eyes.
01:13Thought that her boyfriend at 10 years, if he inherited this $30 million and then suddenly died,
01:18that she would be able to inherit the money because of a common law, marriage law.
01:23The problem is, she failed the check if North had this law.
01:30And North Dakota doesn't have the law.
01:33The bigger plot twist, this inheritance that this guy got was an email scam.
01:38This poor, stupid guy didn't even inherit $30 million.
01:44He fell for a Nigerian prince-type email scam.
01:48They were on the way to meet some mystery lawyer at the airport.
01:52The lawyer doesn't exist.
01:54Damn it, man.
01:56You can't fix stupid.
01:59Well, on both ends, her and him.
02:03That was crazy.
02:04I did not see that plot twist at the end.
02:07I sure didn't.
02:08Yeah.
02:09Well, I mean, maybe I should have because North Dakota, where does $30 million coming from?
02:13Like, maybe I should have been like.
02:14Money everywhere.
02:15Yeah, yeah.
02:16That is, hey, that's tough.
02:18Yeah, yeah.
02:19That was so messed up.
02:21I'm like, oh, man.
02:23That dude got killed.
02:25Crazy on all parts.
02:27Yes.
02:27And I know she got to feel like the stupidest person in the world, man.
02:32And it's crazy how money just, he didn't even have the money.
02:36It was a scam.
02:37And just knowing how people act with the idea of you being rich.
02:43Which is why, number one, don't tell nobody.
02:46Right?
02:47Like, you happen to come into some money.
02:48Keep that to yourself.
02:49That ain't for everybody.
02:50But you know how scary this is?
02:51And I know they were boyfriend and girlfriend.
02:53And they was together for 10 years, which is a long time.
02:57But, man, you can't even tell your significant other.
03:00Yeah.
03:01And early on, a couple things were pretty funny.
03:04He goes, he basically said that she ain't much to look at either.
03:07Yeah.
03:09I was like, I imagine what he was trying to establish is that she thought that he would
03:12leave her if he had some money.
03:14Yeah.
03:14And he could get to a different life or something.
03:16Yeah.
03:16Yeah.
03:17And I had to make sure, I think maybe this might be a Reggie thing.
03:20I had to make sure this was a real story.
03:22No, I'm glad that I'm having this.
03:24Yeah.
03:24So I put the link.
03:25I put the link of the real story in there for Reggie only.
03:30And then the other funny part to me is when you first said he went missing after inheriting
03:34$30 million, I said, a lot of people would do that.
03:37That's what I thought.
03:38Including maybe me.
03:39That's what I thought.
03:41I thought he got that $30 million, like, peace out.
03:43I'm out.
03:44Yeah, I'm going somewhere else and get a hotter chick with this.
03:48That's what she thought.
03:49She was like, oh, yeah, this is what I would do.
03:51I did not appreciate that we still slandering my people with the Nigerian prince.
03:56Like, that wasn't even a prince of all.
03:58Is it slander, really?
03:58It wasn't even a prince of all.
03:59Hey, there's a lot of people out here scamming.
04:01Nigerians ain't the only ones scamming.
04:03Where do you see most of these coming from?
04:05Actually, nowadays.
04:06I don't want to start being prejudiced by naming other places, but actually, it's not really
04:10Nigeria.
04:11But see, that was the scam he came across, though.
04:15Yeah, yeah.
04:16But, man.
04:17I take offense.
04:18I don't care if it's true.
04:19You should.
04:20You should take offense.
04:23It's the Midstapen and Loot Sports Radio 610.
04:26Ficky Fick holding it down on a Wednesday.
04:28Another crazy story that I didn't really see this, this little detail coming into play.
04:36So, shout out to our listeners.
04:37I forgot who it is, but we do have a listener that be listening to us all the way in Washington,
04:43D.C.
04:43Oh, nice.
04:44Yeah, so shout out to I forgot his name.
04:46He'll probably text.
04:49Yeah, but a wild story from Fox 5 in D.C.
04:54On a lot of robberies that have been going on in the area lately.
04:59One of those robberies happening right here near the Noma Gallaudet U New York Avenue Metro
05:05Station.
05:06Riders tell me as they get off trains that they can't believe that this suspect is 12
05:10years old.
05:11Police say the 12-year-old and a group of juveniles were out here on the 200 block of
05:15M Street Northeast, trying to steal someone's bike, but snatching their groceries instead
05:20and running away around 745 last Wednesday night.
05:24Around just 20 minutes later, someone is riding a scooter on the Metropolitan Branch Trail
05:29near the 1300 block of 2nd Street Northeast.
05:32Detectives say the 12-year-old girl and a group of juveniles grabbed the writer's book
05:36bag, stealing the scooter and a cell phone.
05:40And then this past Sunday, that's when police tracked down one of the suspects, that 12-year-old
05:44girl, charging her with all the robberies.
05:47People who live in the neighborhood are shocked that the suspect is so young.
05:51God, where her mother at?
05:53Where this little girl's mother at?
05:55Where they role models at?
05:56Where's the adults?
05:58That's the question we all are trying to figure out.
06:0012-year-old girl.
06:01A girl, a little girl.
06:0312-year-old girl going around robbing folks.
06:06Is it that bad in D.C.?
06:08I don't know, but that is really wild, man.
06:12I didn't see that part coming.
06:14I mean, it's one thing, a 12-year-old boy, and that's kind of crazy as itself.
06:18Is it different?
06:19But a 12-year-old girl?
06:22Yeah, it feels different.
06:22Yeah, I can't sit here and be like, oh, that's not shocking.
06:25A 12-year-old girl?
06:29Apparently, I should make note.
06:31Let's feel like that would be a great cover for the scam, right?
06:35Right?
06:35If you was out here scheming, a little 12-year-old girl is going to do it.
06:39I ain't going to lie.
06:40I wouldn't have been shocked if it was a 12-year-old boy because it'd be some young boys out here that's rolling around like they grown.
06:47So that wasn't a shock.
06:48I was shocked to hear it was a 12-year-old girl causing havoc like this.
06:52The thing that I was actually most shocked at is, like, there seemed to be no real point.
06:57It seemed like she was just robbing to rob.
07:00Because the first one, correct me if I'm wrong, said that she was trying to steal a bike but then just took the groceries.
07:06She was just like, whatever, I'll take it.
07:07Just give me whatever.
07:08I need it.
07:08She said, hey, this is fun.
07:10She might just be doing it for the love of the game.
07:12Yeah.
07:12Hey, this is fun.
07:13Forget the Barbie dolls and all that stuff.
07:15I'm about to start going around taking people's stuff.
07:17She's like, I can take a bike or maybe some arugula.
07:22I don't know.
07:22Whatever you got, I'm taking it.
07:24Hey, I'm just going in people's pockets.
07:26Arugula.
07:27We got baby girl Debo over here just taking anything.
07:30Let me get that.
07:31That's my bike, punk.
07:32Yeah.
07:34It's the Miss Sabin' the Loop, Sports Radio 610.
07:38We talked about the Miko Ryans earlier kind of being out because of a little personal situation going on.
07:45But before I get to that and my little thoughts and prayers, I think the Miko Ryans was up in New York.
07:53What?
07:54I think he was at, I want to say, Aaron Glenn's press conference.
07:59Did you guys see this?
08:00Oh, you're talking about, yeah, I know what you're talking about.
08:01I don't.
08:02What did Aaron Glenn do?
08:03Yeah, so Aaron Glenn, I think he talked to the media yesterday or Monday.
08:09That story.
08:11It's a guy by the name of Rich Cimini.
08:13Cimini.
08:13Cimini, who tweeted this out.
08:17He said, bad news for the Jets offense.
08:20Wide receiver Garrett Wilson is expected to miss at least three to four weeks with a knee sprain.
08:24Sources say good news is no surgery, just rehab.
08:28Now, Aaron Glenn was a little, you could tell he was a little bit upset.
08:32And I heard the Miko Ryans.
08:35He was actually in a little media scrum.
08:38Oh, wow.
08:38So here is the media asking Aaron Glenn about the injury to Garrett Wilson.
08:45I'm going to pass on talking about injuries.
08:50Since you're Rich, he's not here, he has all the answers.
08:53So you guys can get all the injuries from Rich.
08:55Love it.
08:56Love it.
08:57Is that not something you want to ask Rich?
09:01Well, I'm telling you to ask Rich.
09:05Well, you better call him.
09:07Love it.
09:08Love it.
09:08Don't disrespect to you or Rich, but we want to hear it from you.
09:12You guys have been hearing it from me, but now since we're just reporting stuff that I haven't said, then maybe you should ask him.
09:20Thanks, everybody.
09:20See how I'm doing.
09:21Way to finish.
09:23Way to finish.
09:24Love it.
09:24Let's go.
09:25Way to finish.
09:27I think he really appreciate Aaron Glenn.
09:29I think you're probably right.
09:31He was talking about injuries and the media reporting things and all that.
09:35Way to finish.
09:37Go finish.
09:38Love it.
09:39Love it.
09:40For anyone who does not get that, D'Amico was not there.
09:43That was good editing, but that is hilarious.
09:45Wait, what you mean he was there?
09:47Oh, my bad.
09:47My bad.
09:49My bad.
09:50Yeah, I'm not it.
09:51Well, yeah, I think D'Amico Ryans might really appreciate that.
09:53I don't know.
09:54Did they play together at some point or cross paths?
09:57Aaron Glenn and D'Amico.
09:59I think they might have just missed.
10:00They might have missed each other.
10:01They might have just missed.
10:02Okay.
10:02Because I was going to say, I know he probably caught Aaron Glenn.
10:04D'Amico was 0-6.
10:05Glenn was 2-6.
10:07So maybe one year.
10:08Okay.
10:08If they cross paths at any point, I'm sure D'Amico hit them well.
10:11Like, man, I feel you on that, man.
10:14I'm going through the same damn thing down here.
10:17How'd you do it?
10:17How'd you do it, man?
10:18He says, since Rich doesn't want to be reporting and stuff, he's literally a reporter.
10:21Aaron, what are we doing?
10:25Yeah, so I'm sure D'Amico is probably like, man, I should have did that.
10:29Yeah.
10:29Coaches just hate that stuff.
10:31D'Amico's going to come back.
10:32He's like, I was watching tape of Aaron Glenn.
10:34I got a new move in my bag.
10:36He's going to be saying, oh, ask Aaron.
10:38Oh, no, not him.
10:41Ask DJ.
10:42Since he won't be out here recording.
10:44Better.
10:44Hey, go call him up.
10:46Yeah, go ask him.
10:47Since he know everything.
10:48All right, in all seriousness, salute to D, not DJ, but D'Amico Ryan.
10:59So he is, he is away from the team right now.
11:03I think he's going up to some type of, I don't even know how to phrase it.
11:08I'm not sure what it is.
11:10I don't want to put all the business and stuff out there.
11:12The only reason I felt comfortable saying this, because I think he said this in one
11:15of his availabilities that obviously that, you know, he'd be, he'd be there Wednesday.
11:20I believe with some level of ceremony or whatever, just being there for the late Earl
11:25Cochran, who was a former Texan and teammate from Bessemer, Alabama.
11:31So like, you know, the passing of Earl Cochran very much hit him.
11:36And I know that they, they kind of won the game for the Gipper in some ways.
11:39Like I know that Nick Cicero gave him the game ball because he was, you know, battling
11:43through the hurt that he had.
11:44So he's taking that time.
11:45And so we just wanted to obviously send in lots of prayers there.
11:49And then also special salute to the one and only Tim Kelly, because what's the news?
11:54We got Lopez on Tim Kelly.
11:56Tim Kelly has been named the offensive coordinator of the New York Giants.
12:01Man.
12:01I didn't even know he was there, which if you like conspiracy theories, and you know
12:09I do, Tim Kelly is a Bill Belichick guy.
12:13He is a, yeah.
12:15You think he's, you think he's setting the groundwork so big Bill could come out of North Carolina.
12:19Start, start, you know, a little more of a fluid transition.
12:23One of those things.
12:24Return right.
12:24Really good.
12:25Hey, here he, here he come, here he come from the top of MetLife Stadium.
12:29By God, that's Bill Belichick.
12:31Wait a minute.
12:32Is that white smoke?
12:33Yes.
12:34Wait a minute.
12:35Is that Bill Belichick?
12:38My God.
12:40It has been rumored.
12:42It has been rumored.
12:43It has.
12:44And of course, in true Bill Belichick fashion, he gave you essentially on Cincinnati.
12:48And I can see.
12:49On the Wake Forest.
12:50Yeah.
12:50And I can see Bill Belichick just doing that as a middle finger to the Jets, by the way,
12:54because he can't stand the Jets.
12:57I mean, seems like.
12:58Oh, that's right.
12:59Seems like the media can't either.
