00:00I often make jokes up and say I am comfortable in my own skin no matter how far I've stretched it at times.
00:06But I am, I know who I am and I don't try to be nobody else and if that ain't good enough for you, too bad.
00:13But I can walk in any room knowing I'm going in as myself and that'll just have to do.
00:22I don't try to be anything different than what I am. I try to be who I am.
00:26And I've always said the one thing you can say about me is I'm a very professional Dolly Parton.
00:32I don't try to tell other people how to do, how to be, but I know who I am.
00:36And I'm very self-contained with what my faith is, what my beliefs are, and what I feel my talent is and my personality, what I think I can do, you know, with that.
00:47And that has served me well through the years. I don't try to be different than I am at any time.
00:53And when I look at my job, I mean, I'm thankful that I got to see my dreams come true, but I was an artist.
00:59I think of myself as an artist. You know, I write the songs, I want to sing them, I want to perform them, and all that stuff is all kind of rolled into one.
01:07But it never takes away from who I am as a person and my God-given gifts and how grateful I am that God has given me, you know, the opportunities as well as the talent.
01:19So I stay true to that, and I never get too far out of line if I just kind of stay anchored within me and do what I do best.
