On her trip to Germany, Taiwan's former President Tsai Ing-wen was given a tour of the historic legislative building in Berlin by members of the German-Taiwan Parliamentary Friendship Group. One member said Taiwan's future should be decided by its own people.

00:34In a phone call last week, China's foreign minister urged his German counterpart
00:38to oppose what he called Taiwan independence.
00:41The German foreign ministry has said that Tsai's visit is private and not official in any way.
