00:00So today we're going to be testing out the Chefman Precise Temp Plus Electric Kettle.
00:05Now this is for up to 1.8 liters.
00:07I guess it has some cool effects.
00:09We're going to check out the safety features.
00:10We're going to check out how long it takes for a full kettle to boil and all of that stuff.
00:15In today's video, it looks like a great design.
00:17Let's get right into it.
00:18Now I've had a few things from this brand and I've never had an issue with them.
00:21So they give you a bunch of promotional stuff right away.
00:23We're going to put that on the side.
00:25Here is the base to your kettle.
00:27So this is pretty basic.
00:28Most electric kettles have one like this where it's just like a click.
00:31You can put it on in any direction, but we'll check that out and make sure we can put it on in any direction.
00:38And then the kettle itself and that, oh, we almost hit it there.
00:42That's pretty much, that is everything that comes in the box actually.
00:45So we're going to put that over on the side with our garbage and take out our kettle.
00:50Wow, look at that design.
00:52Really nice.
00:52So you can see up to 1.8 liters.
00:54It gives you a 0.5 marker, half a liter, and then a full liter marker as well.
00:59Great stainless steel design all the way around and the plastic handle.
01:02But the cool part here is the digital interface right here.
01:05That's going to let us set our temperature and let us turn it on and off.
01:10So you can see you can choose between 175, 185, 195 and 200.
01:15And then red is 212.
01:16So I'm pretty sure we're setting the temperature, but we'll figure that out as well.
01:20As for the top here, it just pops out.
01:23It even has a little tea steeper.
01:25Now this is a really cool component.
01:27So you can actually remove this if you don't want to use it, but you can put in loose leaf or whatever tea you want.
01:32I would obviously, I would suggest after you're done boiling it.
01:35But I guess you could put it in before too.
01:39So really cool features.
01:40Now we're just going to try to get this back on.
01:43There we go.
01:45And we're going to go fill it up.
01:46Let me plug in our base here.
01:48So the base does have a decent, decently long electrical cord, which is always good.
01:52I hate appliances that have super short ones.
01:55Let's fill this bad guy up.
01:59All right, now we have it pretty much filled up to the max.
02:02I also noticed there's a little mesh on here near the lip.
02:06So that's going to strain out any other little pieces you have.
02:09Now when we put it on our, there we go.
02:11So we got a beep right away.
02:12Now we're going to put our lid back in.
02:14Again, I don't have any tea in there.
02:16We're going to do our tea separate.
02:17I have my favorite cat mug and some chamomile.
02:21Let's turn this on.
02:23So right away it says red.
02:24So red is at 212.
02:25So now we can cycle through the colors.
02:28Green is again 175.
02:30Blue is 185.
02:31Let's try yellow.
02:32195.
02:32I don't know what the proper tea temperature is.
02:34You're going to see these great LED lights all the way around.
02:37Looks really cool.
02:38And that again matches with the color.
02:40So we're going to start right now and we're going to see how long it takes to boil this water.
02:44So we can get some nice fresh tea.
02:46So we're only about a minute in and you're already going to see those bubbles are starting
02:49to really rise up, which means it should be starting to get hot.
02:54So we're going to let it go for another minute, minute and a half and see where we're at.
02:57All right.
02:58So we just heard a beep, which means our water is done.
03:00The lights have turned off.
03:01Now let's check this out first.
03:03Safety.
03:03So the handle, not hot at all.
03:07I'm feeling a tiny bit of heat from this, but this band does protect my fingers, which
03:11is really nice.
03:11So even when I press against it, I don't feel anything.
03:13But as soon as I touch the glass, obviously really hot bottom base, not hot at all top
03:18hot and the top up here, not hot at all.
03:21So it is hot in some areas.
03:23Now we can easily pull it off.
03:25We can rotate it because of the base and we can fill up our water or tea tea.
03:31Yeah.
03:31Our cat cup, cat mug.
03:33Look at that.
03:34So you can see barely any dribble off it.
03:36It's a really well-designed tip here for maximum porridge.
03:39Now that took around six minutes from completely cold water all the way up to with this filled
03:46at max.
03:46So that's actually not a bad time.
03:47So honestly, overall, the Chefman looks pretty good.
