00:00Diddy has been in prison for less than a month and already a problem.
00:06Diddy was caught drinking, drinking alcohol behind bars.
00:11It is a prison no-no.
00:14And there were apparently steps taken initially to move him.
00:20We don't know if the plan was to move him just to another part of Fort Dix
00:25or maybe move him out of Fort Dix entirely.
00:27We don't know.
00:28But he was caught drinking.
00:31And we know this because we have some sources inside the prison as well as outside.
00:37And we are basically, we're kind of getting the same story.
00:40Yeah, so our sources inside the prison are saying that it's a sort of alcohol that they make.
00:45It takes about two weeks to make inside the prison a mixture of apples, sugar, and Fanta.
00:51So it's all individual ingredients they can get in the prison.
00:54Yes, and then they ferment it and that's how they take it in the alcohol.
00:55Isn't that like toilet wine?
00:57Isn't that what they call it?
00:58It's called, what's it called?
00:59Toilet wine is they call it pruno.
01:01Pruno.
01:01It's like prunes fermented over time.
01:04But they used apples, which obviously we know Diddy likes applesauce, so maybe that's why.
01:09So what's, well.
01:11It'll get you drunk though.
01:12I mean, it ferments and it becomes alcohol.
01:14I mean, look, we're going to just tell you, from inside the prison, somebody there used the term, he was drunk.
01:22We don't know he was drunk.
01:23We just know he was drinking.
01:24We do know this happened on Monday, which was the day before his birthday.
01:27So it could have been a birthday celebration situation.
01:29By the way, they don't excuse birthdays.
01:33That's right.
01:33That's right.
01:34There's no carve out for your birthday.
01:35There's no carve out for birthdays.
01:37We also know it was serious enough to disrupt this transfer.
01:39So it wasn't a minor enough infraction that they said, we'll look past it.
01:44We're going to go forward with the transfer.
01:45That's off the table now, apparently.
01:46So that's a big deal.
01:47They're not going to do, they're not going to transfer him.
01:50We found out that they, whatever they had planned on doing, that's not going to go forward.
01:54That if there was a plan to transfer him, that plan has been abandoned.
01:58And we're told he's actually getting visitors today from his family.
02:03So it's not like he's been put in solitary or that he's had visiting rights taken away.
02:10For whatever reason, they've kind of eliminated that.
02:14But nonetheless, what is interesting about this is Diddy's history with sobriety and how it related directly to the trial.
02:22It's exactly right.
02:23At his sentencing, most recently, he said, he told the judge, and this is his plea to the judge,
02:29I am now sober for the first time in 25 years.
02:32I have been trying my best to deal with my drug abuse and anger issues.
02:35The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn.
02:39So in pitching to the judge, I should have a lenient sentence.
02:42He was talking about how being locked up for the past 13 months has really had a profound impact on his life and his sobriety journey.
02:49And now he's transferred to Fort Dix to start serving his sentence.
02:51And very early on, he falls off the wagon, according to these reports.
02:54So that's a big deal.
02:56Yeah.
02:56And look, he had a severe, severe, severe substance abuse problem.
03:01And if Diddy is an alcoholic, you can't have a drink now and then.
03:07It doesn't work for alcoholics.
03:09There's no California sober for alcoholics.
03:11California sober is BS.
03:13What was it?
03:14It is just BS.
03:15And the idea that, yeah, you can have a drink here and there.
03:19No, that's the idea.
03:20That it is a chemical reaction to the body.
03:23That if you are an alcoholic, you have to stay away from alcohol.
03:29That's right.
03:29But sobriety journeys do take this shape.
03:31I don't want to come down too hard.
03:32It's very difficult to stay on the wagon.
03:34And he's a human.
03:34And if he's battling these things and you're desperate, you will find ways to get alcohol, even in prison.
03:39And it sounds like this is what happened.
03:41Another big question I have is what's this going to do to the prospects of a pardon?
03:45You know, he is in the beginning of serving.
03:48I don't think Donald Trump cares all that much.
03:50But what do you think that factors in is that he's already getting in trouble at the very beginning of this two-year-plus sentence?
03:55Ordinarily, I would say it would have no bearing on a pardon.
03:59But there is something different here.
04:02Trump hates alcohol.
04:03I did a show with Donald Trump in 2016 called Objectified.
04:08And we spent a lot of time, this is while he was running,
04:12but we spent a lot of time talking about his brother who died really because he was an alcoholic.
04:19And Donald Trump never touches alcohol.
04:21I believe never has in his life.
04:23And he has very strong feelings about alcohol.
04:27That was a big part of the Sebastian Stan movie that just came out.
04:30Yeah.
04:30But it resonates with him.
04:34So, you know, Diddy was saying the things I did understand I was a substance abuser at the time.
04:40Well, it's true.
04:41Most substance abusers fall off the wagon from time to time.
04:44It's true.
04:45Yes.
04:45But when Donald Trump is hearing it, it's like, okay, this is the area of the devil.
04:54And now the question is, does he look at Diddy the same way?
04:58I don't know the answer to that.
04:59He might be very strongly sympathetic to it.
05:00He's a teetotaler, but he knows that it's a disruptive force in people's life.
05:03And maybe the best place to get treatment is not behind bars and you go outside and you have more support.
05:08I mean, he could look at it that way.
05:11But I don't think this necessarily helps him on the other hand.
05:15Hi, my name's Tyra.
05:16I'm from Long Beach, California.
05:19Honestly, I'm not really surprised.
05:21I think Diddy thinks he's bigger than a program.
05:24And this is just a case of that, him thinking that he's untouchable and bigger than the program.
05:29Because you've only been in there for two weeks.
05:31So how is this all going on?
05:33Yeah.
05:33I mean, look, it's sort of a walk a mile in my shoes.
05:36I don't know what it's like to be at Fort Dix.
05:37It's not a maximum security prison for sure, but I'm sure acclimating is rough.
05:45That's not an excuse for him, but I don't think he's the first guy to drink toilet wine.
