00:00Dabes and Confused, Giants' axe coach after the latest meltdown, but keep GM for the long haul.

00:05Look, man, I love Brian Dable, but I feel like it's the right decision by ownership

00:09because we all know the NFL, it's a business of numbers and production.

00:14And I'm sorry, but the numbers in terms of wins and losses and production

00:17from some of these high draft picks and other players just haven't been there the past three seasons.

00:22In fact, it tells a completely different story this season,

00:25especially when it comes to four double-digit losses in 10 games

00:30and another year of meaningless football again before Thanksgiving.

00:352022, when Dabes came on the scene and won Coach of the Year,

00:39we were all riding this high, but then it's gone downhill from there.

00:43From his first game as head coach, when he went for two to beat the Titans on the road in Nashville,

00:49he had the entire fan base smoking cigars, listening to the Juicy,

00:54and he got the nickname Dayballs.

00:57Then you fast forward to Sunday's latest collapse against the Bears.

01:01He's kicking a field goal from the one-yard line to go up 10

01:04instead of being aggressive and going up 14.

01:08It's not the same energy as 2022 and the entire fan base,

01:12and now ownership is feeling the same way.

01:15I'm the son of a D1 head football coach, y'all.

01:18I've realized it from since I was a kid.

01:20These things ain't personal.

01:21It's just business, and now the Giants have to move on with the business side of things,

01:26and they have to bring in somebody, a coach, that is going to re-energize not only that locker room,

01:32but this entire franchise again.

01:35Love it or not, but you heard ownership in the statement, and they said it loud and clear.

01:40Joe Shane is their guy moving forward,

01:42and now he's in charge of probably the most scrutinized and most important coaching search in Giants history.

01:49They cannot get this wrong.
