00:00I'm an atheist. I don't believe in God. I can neutralize your evidence.
00:05It's a paradox on its own. If God exists and is eternal, why can't anything else be eternal?
00:10Will you change your mind if we work this issue out?
00:12We can't come to an agreement on this.
00:15You say, can there be a being who has superior intelligence like an alien?
00:18Maybe we're playthings of higher beings or technologies.
00:22The creator of a brick is an architect. The creator of an architect is a creator.
00:26What about his creator? This is the question.
00:28I presented you with dozens of evidence. You can't even disprove one of them.
00:31Yeah, but I don't think you can disprove one of mine either.
00:34Which one?
00:35Now you have disproved.
00:43Are you saying it's okay for us to post this video on YouTube?
00:45It's okay, no problem.
00:46What do you believe in?
00:47I'm an atheist. I don't believe in God.
00:49If I remember correctly, I was a Muslim since I grew up in a Muslim family until the 6th grade.
00:55I had a religion and ethics teacher in the 6th grade.
00:57I got to know him. He was a teacher that I liked.
00:59Our teacher made us read the translation of the Quran in the lessons.
01:02Let's say we have a class on Monday.
01:04He would say, children, read these parts in the evening.
01:07After reading for a while, I realized that what's said and done are two different things.
01:12I mean, the things that people did.
01:14Then I let it go.
01:14I've come to think like this using logic too.
01:16I'll tell you that much.
01:17Does it make sense to hold the book responsible for people's mistakes?
01:20If you think about it, a doctor can deliberately cut people in the operating room,
01:24but no one will criticize the medicine book or hate medicine, right?
01:27Right. You're absolutely right.
01:28But here's the thing.
01:29I thought that there was something wrong with what people were doing.
01:32So I started looking into the views of the opposition.
01:36When I compared the views of the opposition and the things that are happening,
01:39I started to think that the opposition is more correct.
01:42People's actions encouraged me to think against them.
01:44Are you saying you searched the Quran and reviewed the opposing views then?
01:47Yeah, but I have to say, I can't say that I've read the Quran 100% because I have not.
01:53Even if you read the Quran 100%, what you understand from the translation counts as personal remarks.
01:58Why?
01:58If you bring the Quran and give it to 2 billion Muslims, 2 billion different ideas can emerge, right?
02:02Yeah, sure.
02:03You understand something from the translation.
02:05However, if we look at the Holy Quran, it descended over 23 years and some verses descended for specific events.
02:10We need to know those verses.
02:12We need to know about those events, etc.
02:13We need to get to the bottom of those events.
02:15In other words, we actually need to look at tafsir.
02:17Otherwise, what we understand from the Quran does not make any sense, right?
02:20Yeah, right.
02:20Then, what really happened which made you say that there is no God?
02:24Can you give me one piece of evidence that there is no God?
02:26I can neutralize your evidence on God's existence.
02:30For example, God has always existed.
02:32He is eternal.
02:32Let's assume God is eternal.
02:34Then my belief for the universe is that it is eternal too.
02:37The universe is created.
02:38The universe has always been there.
02:40It's a paradox on its own.
02:41If God exists and is eternal, why can't others be eternal?
02:44You're basically saying that this issue is confusing for you.
02:48So, if we work this out, will you change your mind?
02:50Will you turn back?
02:51We can't work this out.
02:53If we do, will you change your mind?
02:55I'm asking you sincerely.
02:56Maybe.
02:56If we work it out using logic.
02:58Then maybe, okay.
02:59We must know the difference between the ruler and the ruled.
03:01For example, when we look at this building, it is made of bricks, right?
03:04The bricks are like the ones being ruled here.
03:06Why?
03:06Because the bricks couldn't have made this building.
03:08There's an architect who is the ruler of them all, right?
03:10Right.
03:10This is the basic logical rule here.
03:12The bricks are ruled.
03:13They can't build a structure themselves.
03:14They can't be ruler and ruled at the same time.
03:17So, there's a ruler other than them.
03:18I mean an architect.
03:19He controlled all of them and built the building.
03:21So, the ruled can't build a structure on their own.
03:24Likewise, both the physical universe and matter were created afterwards.
03:26This is what the Big Bang tells us.
03:28And if we don't look at the Big Bang, when we look at the matter, we see that it is ruled.
03:32Because it has neither willpower nor life.
03:34It neither has knowledge nor any power, right?
03:36Do atoms have any of these?
03:37No.
03:37The atoms don't have any of these.
03:39So, they are ruled just like the bricks.
03:41We said the ruled couldn't have done this by themselves.
03:44A ruler must do it.
03:46Just like atoms are ruled in this universe, there must be a ruler who creates matter from
03:49nothing.
03:50In other words, there must be a ruler who is free of matter that can perform these actions.
03:54Since there is no knowledge, no willpower, no power, no life in the brick, there needs
03:58to be someone who builds this building.
04:00Someone with willpower who uses those bricks.
04:03To be precise, I am saying a creator is needed to create atoms from nothing and constantly
04:08control and build them, just like the architect example.
04:12So, the matter is ruled.
04:13A creator who is a ruler is required.
04:16Let's say there are creatures very different from us.
04:18Maybe they are humanoid or they look like animals.
04:21There's a different kind of life form.
04:23And they have high-end technology, okay?
04:25We can call them creator, master, etc.
04:27And we can believe in them.
04:29You say, could there be a being who has superior intelligence, like an alien?
04:33I'm making it up for argument's sake.
04:35Maybe we're playthings of higher beings or technologies.
04:38We do not argue a case without evidence.
04:41There's got to be at least one piece of evidence so we can reason by using it.
04:45If I said the sun will not rise tomorrow, would you panic right now?
04:48I won't, because I won't believe it.
04:50I know, right?
04:51Why?
04:51Because there's no evidence.
04:52Just like that, when you say, maybe we are created by these kinds of beings.
04:56I mean, anybody can say anything.
04:58Someone might say, I'm a being that lives on a turtle.
05:00We all do.
05:01Is there any evidence?
05:02Someone might say, I'm a being that lives on an ant.
05:04I mean, anybody can say anything.
05:06A case cannot be argued without any evidence.
05:08And what we really understand is this.
05:10As we said before, we need a ruler who will reveal the ruled.
05:13Let's take a look at his attributes.
05:15First, he must have knowledge so that he creates us.
05:17Can he do such a thing without willpower?
05:19He can't.
05:19He can't do it if he doesn't have power or life either.
05:22I mean, whoever he is, he needs to have four attributes.
05:25If you say, couldn't it be aliens?
05:27Now, there has to be someone beyond the physical universe.
05:30He has to be free of matter.
05:31Why is that?
05:32The one who builds a clock is not the same kind.
05:34The one who creates matter cannot be made of matter.
05:37The artist does not look like his art.
05:38Does a man look like his painting?
05:40Similarly, does a carpenter look like a table he built?
05:43There must be a creator free of matter.
05:45You said, could it be an alien?
05:46When you think of an alien, you still feel inside the universe's boundaries.
05:49So someone else must have knowledge, willpower, power, and life.
05:52So this kind of logic doesn't make sense either.
05:54I think the examples you gave are too concrete.
05:57We accept it as an abstract entity no matter how abstract we think of it.
06:01I accept it that way.
06:02You're making an abstract entity to do something concrete.
06:06Reason and logic make us accept it.
06:08For example, do you have willpower?
06:09Did you come here of your own free will?
06:11Yeah.
06:11Can you show me the willpower physically?
06:12No, I can't.
06:13I can know the existence of things clearly that do not have any physical form.
06:17I mean, why would I ignore my intelligence?
06:19Because my intelligence provides me with pieces of evidence as a result of my investigation.
06:23A ruled requires a ruler.
06:25There must be one.
06:26A universe of atoms, a ruled entity, must have a being who rules over them and creates them with his willpower.
06:32Around 350,000 people are born every day.
06:34The ruled atoms are created and combined by the ruler.
06:37I mean, I see it all the time.
06:38My mind always supplies me with new opportunities.
06:40Then why should I limit myself?
06:42When we limit ourselves, we begin to accept.
06:44And once we accept, that is the end of it.
06:47But if you do not accept, there are many possibilities behind it.
06:51The creator of a brick is an architect.
06:52The creator of the architect is a creator.
06:54Well, his creator.
06:55This is the question.
06:57Let's deal with this issue, shall we?
06:58I'm ready to answer whatever you ask, God willing.
07:01Imagine I have a glass of water in my hand.
07:03Does the sea get wet when I pour this water into it?
07:05Or does it get wet when I take the water from the sea and pour it into the water in the glass?
07:09That's an interesting question.
07:11Why exactly?
07:11It can't happen since making something wet is an attribute of water, right?
07:14Water doesn't get wet.
07:15It makes other things wet.
07:16Water makes dry things wet.
07:18If I pour a glass of water on you, your body will get wet.
07:20But when I pour water into another body of water, it doesn't get wet.
07:23Why?
07:24Water is already wet.
07:25It is not affected by the outside, right?
07:27Yeah.
07:27We call this an essential attribute.
07:29Since your body is dry, water can affect it from the outside.
07:32Since the wetness of water is its essential attribute, it can be affected from the outside.
07:36Just like this example, the existence of God is inherent.
07:39The act of creating is also inherent in God.
07:42Now, we said water wets dry things.
07:44Wetness affects things from the outside, but it does not get affected by itself.
07:48The existence of God is inherent.
07:50His creation is inherent.
07:51Now, when I look at the essential and extraneous attributes of water, similar to the water example,
07:56I can see that God is not affected by the outside.
07:58You can think of it this way.
07:59The concepts of time and space started to exist with the creation of the universe.
08:03What is the concept of time?
08:04It's a concept that coexists with the universe, right?
08:07Yeah.
08:07If I made this watch, there are two issues here.
08:09First, I exist before this watch.
08:11Second, I am not subject to the rules of this watch.
08:14There are different rules inside the watch.
08:16Likewise, God has created the universe.
08:18If he created the universe, he must exist before the universe.
08:22He's not subject to the rules of time and space of the universe.
08:25So, there is no concept of time for the creator, for God.
08:28Asking about the God free of time, who created him, is not logical because you subject him to the constraints of time.
08:34For the God who created matter, there is no time and no past.
08:37He is eternal.
08:38He is always there because there is no time concept for him.
08:41If there is no time, there is no beginning.
08:42No beginning, no before.
08:44As technology advances, the knowledge we learn changes all the time.
08:48100 years ago, a man was like, I am a theist.
08:51I believe in God, whatever happens.
08:53If this man received current information, he would say, oh, this is how it happened.
08:58For example, what happened?
08:59I disagree with what you say.
09:01You say as time passes, the information we receive accumulates.
09:04The absence of a creator will be found eventually.
09:06Quite the opposite.
09:07As time goes on, I examine the structure of matter more and more.
09:10As I investigate the matter, I reach the existence of a creator in the same way.
09:14Why?
09:14Because I've examined the matter.
09:15I've looked at the atom.
09:16And I've looked at subatomic particles.
09:18I've looked at the electrons and protons.
09:20I've looked further.
09:21I've even looked at the quarks.
09:22In other words, our research continues up to the tiniest particle or even to the essence of the matter.
09:27But no matter how much I investigate, they have no knowledge, no willpower, no power, and no signs of life.
09:32I can say as I investigate, I see the existence of a being who has these attributes.
09:36Let the technology advance as much as it can.
09:38Let the science progress as much as it can.
09:40These are not pieces of evidence for the absence of a creator.
09:43On the contrary, they start to offer us pieces of evidence on how a creator made the universe.
09:47If we investigate the DNA, we see four bases, right?
09:50Exactly.
09:50Yes, adenine, thymine, guanine, cytosine, right?
09:54Now, I said science.
09:55As the science progresses, it actually leads to God, the creator.
09:58Why?
09:59I found four bases.
10:00Let's have a look inside them.
10:01These bases also consist of four elements.
10:04Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen.
10:06When I consider these elements, I don't see any attribute in these that can form you.
10:09A tree or a peacock egg.
10:11If you say they can, then you must show me too.
10:13Your science is supposed to tell me, like you said, now it's providing results.
10:17On the contrary, no matter how much I investigate, they don't have any abilities or attributes.
10:21I see thousands of evidence every second.
10:23So there must be a ruler who controls the ruled atoms, who has mastery over them.
10:26I don't know.
10:27This is a question unanswered.
10:28It doesn't make sense.
10:29You know, you look at a tree.
10:30You examine it.
10:31But maybe you don't question it enough.
10:33I'm not saying I know anything right now.
10:35I'm just providing you with my guess.
10:36You're asking questions.
10:37That's okay.
10:38You couldn't find anything.
10:39Then there is a God, a creator.
10:40It's not that I couldn't find it.
10:42I found it.
10:42A tree has no knowledge to control itself.
10:44Did we find it?
10:45We found it for now.
10:46No willpower.
10:47Did we find this?
10:48Yeah, for the moment.
10:48It won't change now.
10:49Why?
10:50I said that it is one of the rule.
10:52Wouldn't it make more sense for atoms to do this if atoms have willpower?
10:55Is everything formed by atoms?
10:57Yes.
10:57Are you made up of atoms?
10:58Yes.
10:59And I say, dude, if atoms had willpower, like you said, what would they do by themselves?
11:03They would come together.
11:04They would decide and manage a system.
11:05They would take over the universe.
11:06But when I look at the atoms, they're ruled and are working within an order.
11:10They are not confused.
11:11They continue to operate within the same system.
11:13If they had their own will, this would be a paradox.
11:16Why?
11:16They can't be ruler and ruled at the same time.
11:19In other words, bricks can't build this building.
11:21Why?
11:22Because one brick can't rule all bricks.
11:24It can't rule by saying, you guys stay here, you go there.
11:27This building can't stand together by taking orders from all of them simultaneously.
11:31And this system can't be constructed.
11:33Why?
11:33There is a contradiction between being a ruler and being ruled simultaneously.
11:37So all the bricks are ruled.
11:39Apart from these, an architect, or as we called it, a ruler is necessary.
11:43There can be no willpower in atoms too.
11:45This is a contradiction.
11:46An atom can't be a ruler to all atoms and be ruled simultaneously.
11:50It can't say, come on guys, we're forming bodies.
11:52Come on guys, we're going to build an eye.
11:54Come on guys, we're going to build ears.
11:55Because how will an atom both give and take orders at the same time?
11:59I've presented you with dozens of evidence.
12:01You can't neutralize even one of them, right?
12:03Yeah, but I don't think you can neutralize one of mine either.
12:07Dude, which one did we not neutralize?
12:08Well, you do now, but science is constantly changing.
12:11It changes every day.
12:12For example, this camera zooms into us.
12:14As the camera improves, the zoom improves, right?
12:16I mean, these advancements only improve the physical closeness to the matter.
12:19Since the issues we're talking about are related to the attributes of the matter,
12:23zooming into something incapable of showing these attributes and saying,
12:25science will find this in the future, will never be related to the absence of a creator.
12:29Because science only studies the motion of matter.
12:31What we can do is to interpret.
12:33It is the interpretation that we derive from the motion of the matter.
12:36So science will never work anything out about this issue.
12:38It will tell us the motion of matter and we will derive from it.
12:41How was it this conversation?
12:42Were we able to clear any of your doubts?
12:44Is there any progress at least?
12:46If God was 0% before we spoke, he's like 2% now.
12:50You're saying it's up to 2%.
12:51It was a good interview.
12:52You are friendly and respectful.
12:53Let's shake hands.
12:55It was good.
