Mexico has launched a large-scale security operation in Michoacán after the assassination of Uruapan Mayor Carlos Manzo. Nearly 2,000 soldiers and National Guard members, including 180 Special Forces, have been deployed to target cartels, extortion networks, and drug labs. Officials say more than 10,500 personnel will reinforce the region under the “Michoacán Plan for Peace and Justice.” #Michoacan #Mexico #MayorAssassination
