00:00Joe Burrow back?
00:02Now, this is a story that I've got to be honest.
00:05I don't know if anybody's been on this more than Joe Lisi.
00:08Because a lot of people have been silent on the matter.
00:11Joe, whether it be in a commercial or on air, what's up with this Burrow?
00:15We don't hear anything about this Burrow.
00:16Is this Burrow coming back?
00:18Well, Joe Burrow may be coming back.
00:21They have opened his practice window.
00:24It doesn't guarantee he's, you know, back in a snap,
00:27certainly not going to play in their most upcoming game,
00:30which will be against the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday.
00:33Ian Rappaport was quoted as saying a December return is real.
00:37So maybe they are without Joe Burrow for another three, four games, give or take.
00:47Do you expect Burrow to be under center again for Cincinnati this season?
00:51I mean, I thought if he was coming back this week with the Steelers losing
00:55to the L.A. Chargers, I would say, yeah,
00:57they have an ability to make a run.
00:59But coming in in December now with the team already at 3-7 and third
01:03in the AFC North, I mean, what's the point unless you're going to shop them?
01:07I mean, I don't know.
01:09I mean, if Burrow comes back and he plays two or three games
01:13and the team at that particular time, let's say, has 10, 11 losses,
01:17what's the point?
01:19That's what's kind of puzzling to me here.
01:22Like, I am sure Burrow wants to be out there with his guys.
01:26But the last two losses, Joe, they look just like Joe Burrow was out there.
01:32They lose 39-38 to the Jets, 47-42 to the Chicago Bears.
01:37Again, I understand he wants to be out there.
01:40Let's just take their next three games.
01:42Because, again, we hear December.
01:43At Pittsburgh, home against New England, at Baltimore.
01:46They will be a dog in all three of those games with Joe Flacco.
01:48And let's go a step further.
01:51Let's put Joe Burrow under Sender.
01:53Let's pretend he could be available for that New England game.
01:56I think there's still an underdog, Joe, at home against New England,
02:00at Baltimore, at Buffalo, home against Baltimore.
02:03Right.
02:04So, and trust me, as somebody whose pick was,
02:07and you can laugh at me because you do every time,
02:09Cincinnati to win the Super Bowl, I should hear this and awesome, great.
02:14I don't think this really matters.
02:17I hate to say it.
02:17Yeah, I mean, the way the defense is playing, it's horrible.
02:20Again, they're 3-6.
02:21Trey Hendrickson already doubtful for the next season.
02:23But, you see, like, if he's under center for Pittsburgh,
02:25I think he can win that game.
02:27I mean, the fact that they want it.
02:29But I think they can win it with Flacco, too.
02:31Yeah, but on the road, you would rather have Burrow.
02:34Again, Patriots, the way they're playing, going to be difficult.
02:38Ravens now, a little bit of momentum,
02:41and they pick up the victory over Minnesota.
02:43Defense looks better.
02:45Again, they're up against you.
02:46You can make the argument if Burrow was there for the remaining eight games
02:52that they could potentially be 6-2 with him on their center.
02:56So that, you know, but...
02:58The hope was, going off of what I thought the initial...
03:00I thought the initial timeline was for him to play in the final three games,
03:05right?
03:05Which was at Miami, home against Arizona, and home against Cleveland,
03:09in where he could easily have gone 3-0.
03:11So if you enter that stretch, even with six wins,
03:15hey, maybe 9-8 can get us in, right?
03:18Six wins?
03:19I mean, are there three wins?
03:21Well, I think...
03:22Is this team winning another three games at all?
03:24I don't know.
03:25Well, I mean, I think they could steal one against the Steelers.
03:28If Flacco was on, they could definitely go in.
03:30They already did.
03:30I know, but the way that team is playing,
03:33I don't think Pittsburgh's that good, and we have talked about that.
03:36And they got exposed by L.A. on Sunday night.
03:40So to me, I think that's a winnable game with or without Burrow
03:45because I just think that Pittsburgh is suspect.
03:48You know, the Dolphins, the Cardinals,
03:50the way they're playing in the Browns are three straight wins.
03:52There's four.
03:53So now we're talking seven wins on the season, right?
03:56All right.
03:56You've got to steal one against the Ravens.
03:58They went toe-to-toe last year with Burrow.
04:01Went right down to the wire.
04:03The problem is our tone would be so different
04:07even if they just won one of the Jets or Bears games.
04:10I mean, the Bears game was unacceptable.
04:13I mean, you have the lead with 25 seconds left.
04:15And to allow a touchdown is absolutely pathetic.
04:19So here's the thing with the Bears game, though, Joe,
04:21is the Bears game was the reverse of the Jets game
04:24in that the Jets game was 38-24
04:27with eight minutes left in the game.
04:30You can't lose that game.
04:32They almost reversed it on Chicago.
04:34They were down 14 late.
04:35They get the two-point conversion.
04:37But to lose both is, like, unimaginable to me.
04:41You just got to win one of those football games.
04:44And to your point, then they would need, again,
04:47could they get two wins from the Pittsburgh-New England-Baltimore-Buffalo-Baltimore run?
04:52Yeah, I mean.
04:53Burrow back for maybe two or three?
04:54Maybe.
04:55Maybe.
