06:53was spo on uh nico's big game against portland i liked his energy i liked his intent uh he was
07:00assertive aggressive uh on both sides of the court uh you know you can choose to float or you can
07:08choose to insert your will on a game and it's not about like how many points you you score uh it's
07:15about uh imposing your will uh on a game and you felt his will uh on the game um you know i gave him a
07:24hard time that last uh you know iso he did a double step back james harden you know three i would have
07:30liked to see what happened if he imposed his will on that possession uh i think that's a growth
07:36opportunity he hasn't been in that situation very often where we just say open you create a play for
07:40us but i think he would have gotten into the paint uh and made the right play um but i i just like the uh
07:48assertiveness you know tonight i love it from him because he obviously needed it he's uh
07:53he's he's had a little bit of a tough start to the season but you know i think one of the things
07:59you're going to wonder with bam out is like who was going to take advantage of this opportunity i
08:04think that you know he was there when they needed him they needed that that aggression from him and
08:09you know he had some willy-nilly plays where he's like throwing the ball into the stands for sure
08:14but he had six turnovers in the game but i finally liked him trying to make things happen didn't feel
08:20like he was hesitating i think that's like you need people on your team like that to get teed up
08:25huh got teed up you need people you need people on your team like you need people that are going to
08:30be aggressive you know that they're lightning in a bottle um and then you have to just kind of have
08:35them avoid the mistakes but you got to work through that that's one of the things i get irritated about
08:40with kalal right sometimes you got to coach him through those moments yeah whether it's hard or
08:47whatever but at some point it's going to be be a time in in the season or a game where you're going
08:54to need the best version of kalal and if he's if you've never forced him to play that way during a
09:01game who's to say he's going to be able to respond to it i think that he's done a good job the last
09:06couple of games like he has started off slow but i do think that is his second stint he's done a lot
09:10better i thought that you know this past game he was getting a lot of loose balls he was getting a lot
09:15of rebound so i think we are seeing some of that with him it's just you know matter if we can get
09:20him out of the gate with it but he was uh you know they needed that because clinging was having a
09:25good a good performance yeah he's a moose he's just pushing kalal and pushing and pushing nico all
09:31around but uh but he responded strong in that game so i like i liked that from kalal and then i
09:37wish frog nothing against having you here dan day we love you but i wish frogbo was here just so i
09:41could yell at him for how he treated drew smith yeah i wish i could just have him on the phone
09:47right now so i could yell at him for how he's treated drew smith because let me tell you something
09:51about drew smith this dude's a needle mover i mean he's not in there to score 30 he is like do you know

10:10because he's just locked in at all times and this frog boy had the audacity to kick him kick him

10:24one day when you decide to show up because you know who always shows up drew smith unlike you

10:39crazy i love it though team is playing great this was uh norman powell after the uh the portland win
10:47um just uh for me i'm talking to them uh mentally you know uh you know young guys um they worry about
10:55um the other things you know um all the missed shots the turnovers they get upset when they don't
10:59make a make a play um that they feel like uh they should uh shot or uh pass you know um they're
11:05very selfless guys but you know they get down on themselves a little bit especially nico um so
11:09just staying in his ear throughout the course of the game um before and after you know um keeping
11:15them positive and not focused on the mistakes you know i told him um after the first time out
11:20i don't want to see his body language go down when he uh makes a bad play turn over missed shot or
11:25whatever like stay even kill you know it's a long game um and he's too talented for that you know and
11:30i thought he did a great job tonight um staying with it in attack mode um reading the game uh getting
11:36to his spots and making the plays that were in front of him nolan powell leader leader
11:42wow well tonight's a big one you got the calves in town obviously they put the miami heat they spiked
11:50them into the ground in the playoff series so if he can get the no bam tonight still dealing with
11:55that toe in a walking boot you you believe me yet i'm very scared i'm telling you i'm telling you
