00:00What happens here, becomes legendary.
00:05Welcome to Miz Mojo, and today, we're counting down our picks for the biggest successes and failures under the WWE leadership of Triple H so far.
00:14But here's the thing, it doesn't matter if you don't like that decision.
00:20It's time to play the game.
00:23Number 5, Saved. Mid-card championships matter.
00:26Without a strong mid-card, the product will suffer.
00:30Previously, the mid-card belts, such as the United States and Intercontinental Championships, were well-respected in the WWE.
00:38But around the 2010s, they struggled for relevancy as strange and boring bookings took over.
00:43Oh, you gotta love this!
00:45Teddy Long's been in charge of this show for 30 minutes and it's an absolute mess.
00:49An absolute mess, we got a new United States champion!
00:53Considering the mid-card belts are often a testing ground for future main eventers, it was a bad decision.
00:59Well, with Triple H in charge, those belts began a resurgence.
01:04Alongside new designs, the belts had important storylines and matches tied to them.
01:08The man who holds the title goes to work.
01:11He makes every live event.
01:13He makes every television show.
01:14Defends the championship across the world.
01:17That is why the Intercontinental Championship is so important.
01:20This resulted in Gunther's record-breaking reign with the Intercontinental title.
01:24The U.S. belt has also experienced a revival, with Sami Zayn bringing back the open challenge that led to some great and surprising matches.
01:32Then it would be my honor to pay you back and give you what you gave me 10 years ago.
01:40And that is a shot at the U.S. Championship!
01:44Number 5, Ruined.
01:48Product placement everywhere.
01:50My company, Prime Hydration, has partnered with the WWE to be the first ever center ring sponsor of this great organization.
02:01WWE has a long history of teaming up with brands.
02:04On several occasions, it's been bizarre.
02:07Such as when Dolph Ziggler as Colonel Sanders beat up The Miz as a chicken for a KFC deal.
02:12However, with the game as Top Dog and TKO owning WWE, the company has stepped it up.
02:18It might get 90% of people hate it.
02:20They're gonna hate it.
02:21They're gonna do all this stuff.
02:22And then as you said, as you move forward, it's there.
02:26It's just there.
02:26The ring canvas is now plastered with advertisements, which a large portion of fans have disliked,
02:32finding them tacky and distracting from what happens between the ropes.
02:36As such, the deal with Logan Paul's Prime brand did not go down well.
02:40You use us as some branding opportunity to buy another Pokemon card.
02:48Another aspect is wrestlers' entrances.
02:50For special events, they go further to express themselves.
02:53Nowadays, it depends on who's paying.
02:56Such as Drew McIntyre promoting Doom The Dark Ages at WrestleMania 41.
03:00Number 4.
03:01Saved.
03:02Edgier content.
03:03In 2008, WWE departed from the mature content that made it popular with adults,
03:09and moved towards promoting its product to children.
03:16I don't even know if that's PG!
03:19While WWE claimed the PG era ended in 2013,
03:23it felt like it never really left, as child-friendly promos hurt the product.
03:27Looking at you, Roman Reigns.
03:29You are a sniveling little suck-up sellout full of suffering suck-a-tash, son!
03:37Yet with Triple H's promotion, things seemed to change.
03:40While the company is unlikely to go full-blown into mature content, it's dabbled in it.
03:45When The Rock brutally beat up Cody Rhodes, he also uttered some profanity.
03:50With AEW offering fans more mature content and having success,
03:54Hunter realized that it needed to change.
03:56In 2025, he stated that the edgier content would be used sparingly for impact.
04:01Yeah, and you're 20 years younger than your siblings, is that right?
04:05You know why?
04:07Because you were a mistake.
04:12Let him go! Let him go!
04:14Number 4.
04:15Ruined.
04:16Not coping with criticism.
04:18Triple H is no stranger to criticism.
04:20After all, he was a wrestler for decades,
04:22typically in the main event, and was often on the receiving end of fans' dislike.
04:27He was a student of the game.
04:28Tonight, an army to take care!
04:30You know, kind of understood the bigger picture of storytelling.
04:34So now he's brought that to his role as chief content officer here.
04:38But now that he's the boss of the product,
04:40Hunter doesn't seem to like that the buck stops with him.
04:43In 2025, during a WWE interview with Peter Rosenberg,
04:47the game took shots at fans with negative opinions about the programs,
04:51even uttering a curse word.
04:52He also mentioned that those critics are essentially ruining the product for others.
04:56The business that feeds you,
04:59you're now ruining it for people and lessening their enjoyment of it.
05:04After receiving criticism for Wrestlemania 41,
05:07he arrived at the controversial roast of Wrestlemania event,
05:10where he, once again,
05:12used a swear word towards those complaining about his booking.
05:15Was there something else that made you guys decide,
05:17like, you know what, we want this guy still here?
05:20I love the question.
05:21You enjoying the show?
05:23All part of the show, ma'am.
05:25Number 3.
05:26Saved.
05:26Cross promotion.
05:28For a long time,
05:29WWE didn't mention nor promote other promotions,
05:32which is strange since it had a storied history of this before.
05:35However, with AEW having working relationships with several promotions,
05:40Triple H saw an opportunity.
05:41In 2022, the seeds were sown when the then-reigning TNA Knockouts champion
05:46Mickie James entered the Royal Rumble.
05:48Mickie James!
05:51Impact Women's Champion!
05:53Nothing she hasn't done,
05:55nothing she hasn't accomplished in the WWE.
05:57In 2024, the companies announced a partnership
06:00that saw TNA wrestlers appearing on WWE programming and vice versa.
06:05This move made it exciting to be a WWE fan,
06:08as match-ups that were thought unlikely were now possible.
06:11Two men are staying focused.
06:13Everyone right now,
06:15in NXT and TNA,
06:17is showing no mercy.
06:20While not a partnership,
06:21WWE did purchase a controlling stake in Mexico's AAA,
06:25opening up the market more.
06:26Or perhaps because the name was enticing to Triple H.
06:30Double champion,
06:32Dominic Mysterio,
06:33who was also carrying the AAA Mega Championship to the ring.
06:37The self-proclaimed King of the Luchadores.
06:40Number 3, Ruined.
06:42Ticket price increase.
06:43For many fans,
06:44there's nothing better than going to a wrestling promotion live,
06:48where you can wave a funny sign and sing entrance themes.
06:51However, that's becoming less possible
06:52for those wanting to attend WWE events in recent years.
06:56This is an opportunity to show the world
06:59what I think most people already know,
07:02that WWE is a global brand
07:04that reaches every corner of the world
07:06and excites fans from everywhere.
07:10Despite a global cost-of-living crisis,
07:12the company has hiked its ticket prices
07:14to unprecedented amounts.
07:16From 2015's WrestleMania to the 2025 event,
07:19the average seat cost rose by around 140%.
07:23What I'll say, impossibly expensive.
07:25But it's bizarre, right?
07:27That somebody has that much money,
07:30even in their advertising budget,
07:32to pay $70,000 for a ticket.
07:35For televised events,
07:37WWE often charges $200 upwards.
07:40House shows aren't the option for a cheaper experience either,
07:44as WWE has drastically reduced
07:46the number of shows at stages.
07:48These hefty figures have resulted in accusations from fans,
07:51including famous ones like Paul Walter Hauser,
07:54that WWE under Triple H is being excessively greedy.
07:57WrestleMania 41 was the most successful WrestleMania in history.
08:02We shattered every record from attendance to viewership.
08:06So we're running it back
08:07to the sports and entertainment capital of the world.
08:10Number 2.
08:11Saved.
08:12More women titles.
08:13Ladies and gentlemen,
08:15I bring to you the brand new
08:17WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship.
08:23For years,
08:25the WWE Women's Division was in dire straits.
08:28With nonsensical stories,
08:30ultra-short matches,
08:31and a focus on looks over talent,
08:33there was little to celebrate.
08:35However,
08:36after calls to give them a chance took over social media,
08:39WWE began the Women's Revolution in 2015.
08:42Yet something was missing.
08:44Enter Hunter.
08:45In 2024,
08:47he helped introduce mid-card titles,
08:49such as the Women's United States
08:50and Intercontinental Championships,
08:52on the main brands.
08:53It's time to reveal something that represents exactly that.
08:57A new symbol of excellence at WWE,
09:00the WWE Women's United States Championship.
09:04This elevated the division,
09:06bringing new main eventers and getting fans excited.
09:08The developmental brands didn't miss out,
09:11as NXT got the Women's North American belt,
09:13and after the show was canceled,
09:15the Women's Speed Championship.
09:17This brought the division closer to the men's available belts,
09:20creating a more level playing field.
09:22That's breaking down!
09:25I haven't seen Book move that fast since 05!
09:29A small taste of what's gonna happen Sunday!
09:33Number 2, Ruined.
09:34Bringing back Brock Lesnar.
09:36As the Beast incarnate,
09:38Lesnar was a vital cog in the WWE main event scene.
09:41However,
09:42following accusations of Vince McMahon's misconduct,
09:45that all changed.
09:46When Janelle Grant issued a lawsuit in 2024,
09:49she stated that she was used by McMahon
09:51to entice Lesnar to sign a new contract.
09:54The parent company of WWE says
09:56they take the accuser's, quote,
09:57horrific allegations very seriously
10:00and are addressing the matter internally.
10:02Due to the scandal,
10:03Lesnar was banned from WWE.
10:05However,
10:06at 2025 SummerSlam,
10:08he returned to launch a feud with John Cena.
10:13Not only did critics and fans take issue with the decision,
10:21but so did Grant's legal team.
10:23They pointed out the accusations she provided against Lesnar
10:26and stated that WWE's, quote,
10:28attempt to sweep misconduct under the rug will backfire.

10:48or all of them.
10:49If you're on your phone,
10:50make sure you go into your settings
10:52and switch on notifications.
10:54Number one saved,
10:56changing the culture.
10:57Speaking of McMahon,
10:59even before the misconduct allegations came to light,
11:01backstage morale was low.
11:03However,
11:04once the scandal was announced,
11:05it plummeted even further.
11:07The announcement came moments ago
11:09that McMahon,
11:10the WWE founder,
11:11is stepping down from the parent company.
11:14Yet when Triple H took over,
11:15reports emerged that demonstrated the positive change.
11:18Morale rapidly rose
11:20as wrestlers and crew enjoyed going to work
11:22more than they had for ages.
11:24There was no longer a constant fear of being fired.
11:27This is the WWE universe
11:31and we are eternally grateful for all of you.
11:35Current and former wrestlers
11:36have publicly affirmed this to be the case.
11:39Arne Anderson spoke about the friendly
11:40and positive nature of workers backstage.
11:43Randy Orton mentioned that family matters
11:45could now take precedence.
11:46The Undertaker spoke about wrestlers
11:48trusting the system
11:49and being far more relaxed.
11:51Happy workers always lead to better production,
11:54which is great for fans.
11:56I'm so happy for you,
11:57so proud of you
11:57and you're working your balls off
11:58the shows and everything you're doing, man.
12:00Just, I can't say it enough, man.
12:02Number one ruined,
12:04John Cena's retirement.
12:06One of the greatest wrestlers of all time,
12:09John Cena announced his farewell tour in 2024.
12:12I had to pitch this idea,
12:14a real wrestling farewell.
12:17And hoping that they would see the business in it.
12:20While fans were sad the time had arrived,
12:22they were also excited to see what would happen.
12:25While there was some praise,
12:26such as for Cena's heel turn,
12:28there's been a lot of criticism
12:30for how it's been handled by Triple H.
12:32It builds to the moment
12:33and when it happens,
12:34you still can't believe it.
12:35For starters,
12:36following the turn,
12:38WWE didn't capitalize on it
12:40as The Rock vanished
12:41before Cena became face again.
12:42The lack of direction for Cena's opponents
12:45was a problem.
12:46I have never once
12:48not been surprised by our audience.
12:51Hunter claimed it was Cena's decision
12:52who he faced.
12:54However,
12:54Cena claimed he'd never chosen his opponent
12:56throughout his career,
12:57stating, quote,
12:58they deal him,
12:59I play him.
13:00Sadly,
13:00this public airing of Dirty Laundry
13:02has tarnished the tour.
13:04I much more prefer the surprise.
13:07Is that the answer you're looking for?
13:09It's the answer you get.
13:10All right.
13:12Very good.
13:13Should WWE stick with the game
13:15running the product
13:15or should someone else get the chance?
13:17Who?
