00:00And you probably realized, too, like, this is, like, a door that once I open it, like, I can't close it.
00:05Oh, yes. I was very aware.
00:06Yeah.
00:06I was painfully aware.
00:08And it took me, like, I did sit on the decision for, like, a month, like, between, like, doing some camming and then coming out to L.A. and shooting my first few days.
00:17Can I ask how old you were when you did it?
00:18I was 18.
00:19Okay.
00:19I was 18.
00:20How do you feel about the fact that you were 18?
00:21Because a lot of girls say that they wish they had waited until they were older.
00:25So some feel like 18 was fine for them.
00:28I think 18 was fine for me.
00:30I do understand why people think 18-year-olds shouldn't be able to get into porn.
00:37I think, isn't Florida somewhere is doing that now where you have to be 21?
00:42Like, in dance clubs or strip clubs or something.
00:45Oh.
00:45Like, I remember an article this summer where they're raising the age for, like, sex work, basically.
00:52Interesting.
00:52I don't remember what state it is.
00:53Okay.
00:54But I read a thing about it.
00:54But I dislike the idea that an 18-year-old can sign up for a four-year contract in the military and go to die for our country, but can't choose to do something extremely natural with their bodies on camera.
01:09I say that all the time.
01:10You can go get blown up by a fucking IUD, but God forbid should you suck some dick on camera.
01:15Yeah.
01:16And that's, I mean, that's—
01:16Because that's going to ruin your life.
01:18Not getting, like, your legs blown off.
01:20Like, yeah.
01:22So, I understand why there—because, like, there are plenty, plenty of girls that are not emotionally mature enough to think about those things.
01:32And I don't even think I was emotionally mature enough.
01:35But I didn't make the decision on—it wasn't on a whim.
01:40Mm-hmm.
01:41I do feel like there should be a little bit more of a barrier to entry.
01:45Mm-hmm.
01:45I don't know if it's—it's hard because it's like, well, in some cases, like, especially, like, new girls, there's a lot of times where new girls will come in because they might be on drugs and they need money or whatever.
01:57Oh, for sure.
01:57There's a lot of people who get into the industry for the wrong reasons.
02:00Yeah.
02:01And so, I wish there was some sort of barrier to entry.
02:05Like, I don't know if it would come from agents or if it would come from the testing centers or something, but something that would, like, protect the most vulnerable of us.
02:11And then, at the same time, the, you know, sex worker advocate part of me is like, well, no, this is supposed to be an accessible job for people.
02:20You know, who are we to regulate how people use their bodies?
02:24I don't want someone to regulate how I use my body.
02:26And also, like, who is that regulator going to be?
02:28Exactly.
02:28Is it going to be the government?
02:30Right.
02:30You know what I mean?
02:30Because if it's not the government, which it isn't right now, like, we're a self-regulating industry, but, like, we don't—there's no laws that we can enforce against people who decide to get into the adult industry in other ways.
02:40And also, too, with all these creator platforms, and obviously you can film scenes on your cell phone, like, how are you going to stop people?
02:47Yeah.
02:47You know?
02:47Yeah.
02:48So, it's like, that's where I'm like, I wish there was something, but I—
02:52You know what I wish?
02:53Honestly, I wish there was less stigma around being in porn.
02:56Oh, yeah.
02:57I think that's what ruins people's lives.
02:58Not specifically doing porn, but the way people treat you afterwards.
03:02A hundred percent.
03:02And, like, how a lot of opportunities are closed off to you.
03:05Well, it's so funny, too, because they're always like, oh, get a real job.
03:08And then you go get a real job, and then they fire you from it because they found out you did porn.
03:11Yes.
03:12What do you want from us?
03:13That makes me crazy.
03:14What do you want from us?
03:15Like, we're trying to do the thing you told us to do, and now you're not letting us do it.
03:20We are still humans.
03:21We still have bills to pay, and we're not less than because of what we've done on camera.
03:26Like, and then I feel like also the people that are always like, oh, get a real—like, those are also, like, the most devout religious conservative types that preach about loving your neighbor and accept, you know, like—
03:39And I feel like the only time that maybe the public will give you a pass is if you come back and say that you were exploited, that you didn't know what you were doing, you were sex trafficked, and you were influenced, and it's not your fault, and you hate it, and you're so sorry.
03:53Then, if you can play that victim role, then I feel like people can be like, oh, she's just a girl who didn't know what she was doing.
04:01Girls are so stupid.
04:02They can't make decisions.
04:04She got influenced by a bad boyfriend.
04:06Yeah.
04:07Literally.
