There are rumours that the next budget could introduce a tax per mile for electric vehicles to replace lost fuel duty.
Transcript
00:00Think about how many taxes we pay on the roads already, you know, with insurance that is
00:04sky high, road tax for petrol vehicles.
00:07I think you should be encouraging electric vehicles.
00:10I mean, they don't need any more money, to be honest, but I'm sure they'll find a way
00:14to say that we need to be taxing the electric vehicles in the budget.
00:18No, I don't believe they should pay as much tax as petrol and diesel drivers.
00:24Just at the moment, I think in the future, they definitely should.
00:28But at the moment, there's not a lot of electric vehicle drivers, and I think we should be
00:32encouraging people to drive electric vehicles rather than deterring them, because if they
00:38want to reach the goal by 2030 to have no production of petrol vehicles, I think it's a necessity.
00:47The push for electric vehicles actually should be further encouraged, especially with the
00:52carbon credits that we are saving up on, as well as it is substantially cheaper to produce.
00:59What's the nice thing about that, that we are making, because we have to do the right-hand
01:00green, which is because we don't get to the rich vehicle units.
01:01If the gas leakers have no energy at all, we don't get to the right-hand Olá.
01:02We want to change everything else.
01:03What do we do?
01:04We're doing them to increase every day.
01:05We want to use the vehicle units.
01:06How can we-to them keep our battery-to-down?
01:07It is.
01:07A few times, I think it's an example.
01:08I think it's all the time to adjust.
