Mayor of Penzance speech at Remembrance Sunday Service.
Transcript
00:00So thank you for bringing the elements and especially those of you unlike us who have to stand looking into the wind. I've lost my hat once already today, hopefully one of you will catch if it comes towards you.
00:13But seriously this is an occasion where we pay tribute for the death of past wars but also at which we hope for peace for the future. The silence that we mark today marks the guns falling silent in past wars and let us hope the guns remain silent for us and for future generations especially for those young people who have the whole world to live in.
00:43So I will now pass over to the Mayor's Chaplain, the Reverend Deris Durkin who will lead today's service.
