00:00And finally, Colt Series Ireland's fittest family has given us yet another twist.
00:04The addition of three new coaches has caused quite the stir.
00:08Existing coaches Anna Geary, Donego Callaghan and Davy Fitzgerald must surely be feeling the heat.
00:14Anna! Anna! Anna! Anna! Look, look, I've already issued a statement, not making any more comments at this time.
00:24No comment! No comment, please.
00:26That's big news, isn't it? Ireland's fittest family has made the cover of the New York Times with huge news that this season is going to see six coaches.
00:36Will Sunday's ever be the same again? It's incredible. I hope Davy Fitz is OK with it.
00:41Yeah, bring it on.
00:45They've won! They've won! It's over! Davy Fitz is the champion again for the fourth time!
00:49Ireland's fittest family is back. Buckle up for eight weeks of mind-blowing competition with 12 of the fittest families in the country and six, yes, you heard that right, six coaches.
01:04It's Sunday night. You're on the couch. We're on the beach. Let's do this!
01:09Over eight gruelling weeks, our families will go head-to-head in a series of events designed to push them to their limits.
01:18From the tough terrain of an army training camp, through the sticky swamps of hell and back, and the deep icy waters of Draw de Porte.
01:28It will all come down to these ramps in our grand final in spectacular Avondale in County Wicklow,
01:34where one family will rise to the top and grab that €15,000 cash prize and the title of Ireland's fittest family 2025.
01:43Welcome to Ireland's fittest family.
01:53We're here at our base camp in Gormanstown, County Meath, and it's the first of our three heats.
01:58But before we dive in, it's time to find out what all this new coach fuss is about. Over to you, Dara.
02:06Thanks, Laura. So, yes, big changes ahead. It's time to rip up the rulebook.
02:11There's some new kids in town. First up, Dublin GAA and sports legend Michael Dara-McCaulie.
02:18There is Michael Dara-McCaulie. That's it. Horrible. It's all on the bar.
02:23Very yin-yang that I'm, like, extremely relaxed right up until the actual thing is happening,
02:29and then I'm extremely unrelaxed. Let's see how that plays out.
02:32Get him up. Get him up. Whatever he has to do. Get him up.
02:34Our second new coach, Paralympic swimming champion Ellen Keane.
02:38Coming into the red markers now. Ellen Keane is on the way to go for Ironman.
02:44There's no point in joining the coaching squad if you don't have that killer instinct.
02:49And I know how to win.
02:50Go, go, go, go. Finish, go, finish, go.
02:52Our final new addition to the coaching panel, having represented Ireland 70 times,
02:57it's rugby great Andrew Trimble.
03:03Whenever you get out there in the heat of the battle, it's going to get intense.
03:07I know I'm going to get fired up, excited, unflustered.
03:09Grab those legs. Grab those legs.
03:11Now we have three new coaches in the mix, which means there's going to be a lot more mind games.
03:15I think I'm ready for the pressure. There's a bit of intensity, a bit of rivalry.
03:20This is going to be another challenge. I like that. It's new. It's different.
03:23This year, the gloves are off. Everything goes.
03:26As long as I stay cool, calm and collected, I'll be fine.
03:29Be wary around Anna Geary at the moment. She's on a mission.
03:32Who's Anna? Is that that mad Corkman that doesn't stop shouting?
03:36You know what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
03:39Series 13, here we go. Lucky for some, especially me.
03:43It's all to play for. Over to you, Laura.
03:45Thanks, Dara. Now tonight, in our first heat, Camogie star Anna Geary will go head-to-head with Dublin football legend Michael Dara McCauley.
03:57Next week, in our second heat, it'll be Dunica versus Andrew.
04:00And in our third and final heat, it's Davy versus Ellen.
04:04So, when I heard that Michael Dara is going to be a new coach, I laughed because we're both from the GA world.
04:10He wouldn't be here if he didn't want to make his mark in Ireland's for this family.
04:14But I'm hoping that we can teach him a few things.
04:16Each coach has two families in tonight's competition.
04:20Anna's families are the Carras from Westmeath and the McClements from Down.
04:24Michael Dara's families are the Burns from Dublin and the Walshes from West Cork.
04:30Michael Dara, welcome to Ireland's for this family.
04:32You're welcome.
04:32Thanks, Anne.
04:32Great to have you. How are you feeling?
04:34Feeling good, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
04:36I've heard all about this kind of competitive side of Anna, like, so it's coming out pretty strong.
04:40I love taking Cork people down a peg or two, so this is going to be a win-win.
04:43Anna, how are you feeling about going up against Michael Dara?
04:46I know this is a completely new event, but at the same time, you have been here for years and years.
04:51She's the Fittest Family Elwyn, isn't she?
04:52Yeah, exactly. I'm the veteran.
04:54You'd ought to watch out. If you thought she was competitive before.
04:57So, it's hard to believe, actually, I'm around a decade now in Ireland's Fittest Family.
05:00Is there going to be pressure on me? Absolutely.
05:02But he's the rookie, so I'm hoping to maybe get into his head of it.
05:06I know she has the experience, but I think I have a few little tricks up my sleeve, so it's game time.
05:11All the talking is done and we are ready to go.
05:14You seem quite tame. You seem quite nice now.
05:15I cannot wait to see how you kick off. Best of luck. There you go. Best of luck.
05:20Thanks. Thanks, pal.
05:22First up, we have Michael Dara's family. The Walshes from West Cork.
05:27I signed up for the show. You'd watch it and you'd go into school and you'd chat with the lads.
05:30You'd be like, oh, that was cool. Oh, I'd love to do this someday.
05:33And the day has finally come where we can actually get to do it the next day.
05:37I'd say Michael's the most competitive.
05:38He's very quick at picking up a sport. No matter what he does, he does it well.
05:43She's a man's flying fit. She's always doing her exercise or she's kayaking.
05:46You mightn't see her working out, renting, but you know she's doing it behind the scenes.
05:52Aidan is our strong boy. He always stuck with training. He always picked himself back up.
05:57And now he's stronger than everybody.
05:59Until about 18 months ago, Alfie refused to do sport.
06:03I'd show up these two boys and show up real strength and work ethic.
06:07I'm hoping that things get tough, that they'll pick me up and sweep me off my feet.
06:12Anna's first family are the cars from West Meath.
06:15I took on the responsibility of applying. It was kind of hard to convince everyone at first.
06:20Tom's reputation as a sportsman, extremely hardworking, very dedicated, probably no-nonsense as well.
06:26Gareth likes to dabble in a lot of sports.
06:31And Gareth is probably the all-rounder, I would say, on the team.
06:34What Elizabeth will bring to the team is a huge endurance base.
06:38She is very strong. She's right up there with the best in the world.
06:42Simon's definitely the source loser.
06:44Extremely competitive, which is definitely an advantage in an event like this, I think.
06:48Playing football out in the green when we were younger, I was the one kind of kicking and screaming if we lost.
06:52The cars are ready to smash it.
06:54Three families will qualify tonight.
06:59All four families will compete in two events, Box to the Top and Truck Pull.
07:04The two losing families from Box to the Top will be given a 20-second time penalty for Truck Pull.
07:09The two families with the fastest times in Truck Pull will go straight through to the quarterfinals.
07:15And the two families with the slowest times will battle it out in our Army Eliminator for the remaining place in the quarterfinals.
07:22Our first head-to-head event involves sandbags, swash and strategy.
07:29One box, one mission.
07:30Get it to the top or get left at the bottom.
07:32Tonight, members of the Irish Defence Forces will demonstrate this test of strength, strategy and stamina.
07:47One person from each family starts the race standing on an Army kit box in the sea.
07:54On the sound of the horn, they must jump off the box, pick it up and run with it to their remaining family members.
08:00With the family are four 15kg sandbags.
08:03Between them, they must carry the sandbags and the box through the rest of the course.
08:08Next, it's a 200m run broken up by crawl through two Army camo nets.
08:14Once through them, it's a run up a hill and onto a platform.
08:17The sandbags have to be placed inside the box and the lid closed.
08:21When all the family members are on the platform, they go down a ladder and up a wall.
08:25Finally, it's a run up a steep bank.
08:27When all four family members are standing at the top of the bank, they win the race.
08:31The losing family will carry a 20-second time penalty into the next event.
08:40Brand new event, we've never seen it before.
08:42I'm a bit raging about that because I would love to have had a little bit of an advantage over Michael Larr if I'd seen the course before.
08:47It's fairly straightforward. It's running and a bit of strength.
08:49And I think the Walsh have all got a decent background in this space, so I think that we should be nicely balanced for it.
08:54The lads have given me the role as pacer.
08:56So all I have to do is put blinkers on. I'm not allowed to look left or right. I just have to go.
09:02We've come up with a collective strategy among us all and we'll stick to that.
09:06We have been chatting about a bit of a strategy there and the main thing is we're all on the same page, so that's a good start.
09:13The thing I'm most concerned about with this race is probably the start, because I don't like wet feet.
09:18A lot can go wrong in this event. It looks easier than it actually will be, but that's what makes it great.
09:22It's time for our first head-to-head. There's Gareth Carr in black and Aidan Walsh in green.
09:30They're out at sea in this little pocket of County Mead that touches the Irish Sea.
09:34The rest of their families wait on dry land and away we go. Box to the top.
09:38Getting series 13 of Ireland's Fittest Family underway. There's a lead for Aidan Walsh at the moment.
09:46Not much of a lead and he flings that box up onto the bank and off he goes.
09:51And there's still a healthy lead for Aidan Walsh, followed by Gareth Carr.
09:57So sandbags now, they've got to move those.
10:00And they're deciding to carry them. Alfie Walsh is sprinting away in front, carrying two of those bags.
10:09So the bags are all on the move. They haven't put them into the kit box.
10:14Here we go, up to the first of two camo nets.
10:18And it's really surprising how these can slow down the progress.
10:23Here come the rest of the Walsh family from West Cork.
10:27Cars from County West Mead.
10:30The Dunes around here in Gormonstone made famous by the legendary Mead football team of the 1980s under the great Sean Boylan.
10:39Those guys had some very punishing days around this part of County Mead.
10:44And this is a punishing start.
10:47Michael Dara McCauley, his debut in the competition.
10:50Anna Geary, a veteran at this stage.
10:53She'll probably kill me for calling her a veteran, but you know what I mean.
10:55So the Walsh's have the lead. Three of them have got away from the second camo net.
11:02And here is Tom Carr.
11:06A GEA legend in his own right.
11:08So the Carr's having trouble at that camo net.
11:11You can see the sandbags on the ground.
11:13And this is costing them time.
11:15So Tom has gone out in front on his own.
11:16And the Walsh's are pretty much together.
11:18So they have the advantage.
11:20The losing family in this event will carry a 20-second time penalty into the next event.
11:25So Tom Carr is there on his own.
11:27And the Walsh's are all together.
11:29And this really is theirs to lose.
11:31Wait, wait, wait, wait.
11:32The referee, Paula Donovan, is telling Tom Carr to wait because all the sandbags have to be in that box.
11:36And the lid has to be closed.
11:38So the Walsh's, well, they haven't been brilliant here.
11:40And look at the Carr's.
11:41They're closed right up.
11:42And they're at that wall.
11:43And Tom Carr is up to the top of it.
11:45There's three of the Walsh family up there.
11:47Now, that was Amy who was helped up by her two sons.
11:49And here come the Carr's, led by Tom and closely followed by Elizabeth, Simon and Gareth.
11:54This is going to be very, very close.
11:56The Walsh's on the left.
11:57All four have to be up at the top of that hill.
11:59It's really tight.
12:00There's two cars up there.
12:01Three and no.
12:02Is it going to be four?
12:03This is really, really tight.
12:05I can't make out who won that.
12:06That is really tight.
12:07We're going to have to go to a photo finish.
12:10It's always really bittersweet when it comes down to a photo finish.
12:14You know, it's the hope that kills you.
12:15What a start.
12:16Yeah, that was magic.
12:17Like, what was it?
12:18Milliseconds by the end of it.
12:25Walsh's cars.
12:26I didn't think we'd be doing this this early on.
12:28Photo finish.
12:29You gave us a cracking start.
12:30But I can reveal that the winner of our very first race, Michael Dower on the Walsh's.
12:37Yeah.
12:38Go on.
12:39Oh, we're feeling great after that.
12:41Starting off in the water was tough, but we just put our heads down.
12:44A bit disappointed.
12:45But in fairness, I thought we gave it our all.
12:47Defeated.
12:48But we competed well.
12:49Bit of time to make up, but I think we can do that.
12:52The start that Michael Dower got in Ireland to fit his family, I'd probably equate it
12:56to, like, getting a goal in the opening minute of an all-earned final.
12:59Like, it was the perfect start.
13:01Can you say what you want to say, man?
13:02Coming here now.
13:02But there's a long match, okay?
13:04That's all I'm saying.
13:05And it's not over yet.
13:07I only caught the end of that, but I know she's talking to Michael Dower.
13:10Oh, yeah.
13:11He's been walking around the place all day.
13:12Of what I've heard, that he's smoking.
13:14He's like, this is easy.
13:15This isn't that hard at all.
13:17I only started and I was like, I really earned that smoke face.
13:21Two more families will take on Box to the Top now, and a chance for Anna to catch up
13:26with Michael Dower with her McClements family from County Down.
13:29Our main strength as a family would definitely be teamwork.
13:32Knowing our limits and knowing each other's limits.
13:34Jude has great strength, so he has.
13:36He's a good runner.
13:37He's a fast guy to catch on a track, so he is.
13:39My sister Sarah is definitely a secret weapon, and small but mighty.
13:42The other families have a tough route ahead of them, because us McClementses are tough.
13:51We're a good, strong team.
13:52From running, to swimming, to strength work, it's all there.
13:57Each one of us are different.
13:58Other families should fear the McClementses, because hard work and determination is never
14:04too far from our minds.
14:07We definitely are going to win our Linsfields family, and we're going to give everyone a
14:10run for their money.
14:10Michael Dower's second family are the Burns from Dublin.
14:16It was my idea to apply for Ireland's fittest family, I thought.
14:19A unique bonding experience together.
14:21John is my firstborn.
14:23He's talking to treat you like you're in the gym, you know, one of his clients.
14:27No.
14:29I have to convince my mum a little, but I wouldn't put her up for this if I didn't think she had
14:33that inner fight.
14:33I think Jack, he's going to bring a lot to the team in terms of, he's 19, he has a lot
14:38of drive-bound eagerness.
14:40I think the girls are going to love him.
14:42Fireball.
14:42He has great hair, in comparison to me.
14:45Paul's great.
14:45He gets stuck in, you know, when I told him that we were going to be doing this.
14:48He was just like, all in.
14:50He's almost like my big brother sometimes.
14:51We're going to work like dogs and bring you home to Dublin.
14:57It's a great first event to kick off with.
14:59There's a lot of different kind of strength and fitness required.
15:03The Maclemmons were a bit nervous this morning, but I can already see as they've walked the
15:06course now, they're starting to get into it.
15:07They're starting to size up their competition.
15:09I think the hardest bit of the course is to get over the wall.
15:13I feel like it'll be hard to get up.
15:14There'll be setbacks.
15:15We'll let them know there's going to be setbacks and how we're going to pick up from them.
15:18We drop the box, whatever it is, and we're going to have to ready to pick it
15:21up and go again.
15:22Just ready to get into it.
15:23Ready to just get going, try and win.
15:25I'm looking forward to get going because waiting around, that's the worst.
15:28I just want to get in, get done.
15:33Ready to start out in the Irish Sea are James Maclemmons in blue and John Byrne in pink.
15:37The rest of the family waiting to go.
15:41And Paula Donovan gets them underway.
15:44So James against John, and they're right beside each other.
15:48There's a little bit of a lead for John Byrne.
15:51So that box, well, John is making that look pretty straightforward, up on his shoulder.
15:58James Maclemmons just behind him.
15:59The Maclemmons from County Down.
16:02Let's go, let's go, let's go.
16:03And the Byrne family are from Dublin.
16:04And it's the Byrne family who lead under the watchful eye of Michael Dara-McCauley.
16:08Anna Geary with her Maclemmons family.
16:11Kick on now.
16:12And Anna is working closely with Sharon Maclemmons.
16:15So I wonder does she have a bit of an issue in the early part of this box-to-the-top race.
16:20So, first of the camo nets.
16:25And the Byrne family all together and pushing through net number one.
16:30Closely followed by the Maclemmons.
16:34So there is Sharon, and she's, well, moving, but not moving particularly smoothly.
16:39Let's see if she can recover from that, and there's still a long way to go.
16:44And that is Sarah Maclemmons, described by her family as the secret weapon.
16:51Now, the secret's out now, and the Maclemmons stuck into the middle of this box-to-the-top.
16:57Second race of the day.
16:59The losing family will incur a 20-second time penalty.
17:02So the Byrne family pretty much all together.
17:06The Maclemmons have got spread out.
17:08That's James and Sharon back at the second cargo net.
17:13So Anna's role and Michael Dara's role very important here.
17:17But the Maclemmons have lost time.
17:19They've two up on the platform.
17:20Here comes the kid box.
17:24And Sharon's still carrying that one remaining sandbag.
17:27So the Byrne family now starting their descent on that ladder.
17:31All the sandbags have been placed in the kit box.
17:35And they have a really healthy advantage.
17:37The Maclemmons looking fatigued at this stage.
17:40This hasn't gone according to plan for them.
17:44So the Byrnes, well, they are in pole position.
17:49They have a commanding lead.
17:52And they've all four family members up at the top of that wall.
17:55The Maclemmons trying to close the gap.
17:57Now Sharon is helped to the top by her son Jude.
18:04But the Byrne family are very nearly there.
18:07That has been quite a performance from them.
18:10We call it a statement victory.
18:12It didn't work out for the Maclemmons family.
18:14They had issues earlier in the course.
18:15Sharon didn't look happy at all.
18:17But they will have that 20-second time penalty to take into the next event.
18:21I'm really disappointed for the Maclemmons.
18:23It just didn't go right.
18:25Sharon picked up an early injury when she jumped off the dune.
18:28I think she hurt her glute.
18:29So she wasn't able to run.
18:30It was a disjointed then from there on out.
18:32To jump down, I just felt like my hip go.
18:34And it was like, that was it.
18:35I was like, I actually can't go any faster.
18:37So that was disappointing.
18:39But yeah, we enjoyed it all.
18:41Yeah, it was good fun.
18:42All in all.
18:43Anna, a great fight put in by the Maclemmons homily.
18:46Yeah, it was brilliant.
18:47To be honest, they did so well.
18:48And even when we got a little bit stuck in the cargo net,
18:50they made up a lot of ground towards the end.
18:52I think in fairness to the Byrne, they did a great first run.
18:55And we were kind of chasing them a little bit.
18:56The Maclemmons, I think their confidence is a little bit down.
18:58So it'll just be about reminding them that, you know,
19:00it's a new event.
19:01It's a blank slate and anything can happen.
19:03And then just keeping the fingers crossed that Sharon's okay.
19:06Now the champs want to start.
19:08Go on.
19:08Go on, Anne.
19:09Well done, Chief Byrne.
19:11Well done, Burns.
19:13Congratulations.
19:14There you go now.
19:16You've won under your belt.
19:17I sort of can't really remember getting up.
19:19I just kept going.
19:22Hopefully keep moving.
19:24She was a star.
19:25She was actually way quicker than I thought she was.
19:27And she flew up the hills as well.
19:28Not a bother on her.
19:29It's time to spare.
19:30Congratulations, Burn family.
19:32Maclemmons, we still have another event to go.
19:34Best of luck, Lottie.
19:35And I'll see you shortly.
19:36All right?
19:36Yeah.
19:37One win down.
19:38Three more wins.
19:39Four wins to go to the final.
19:40So, yeah.
19:41Whatever we need to get to the final.
19:47Give me 60 seconds of hard work.
19:49Welcome back to Ireland's Fittest Family.
20:07Before the break, Michael Dowers, Walsh and Burn families both bag themselves a win in box to the top.
20:13But can Anna's Cars and McClemmons overcome that time penalty and get themselves a win in their next event?
20:23We're finding it very difficult to come up with a name for this one because I couldn't think of anything that rhymed with truck.
20:28So, this is Truck Pull.
20:30Truck Pull is a test of pure strength and stamina.
20:42All four family members start with a leg-burning 250 meters run down the decommissioned Defense Forces runway.
20:50Then, it's the not-so-simple task of pulling a 7.5-ton army truck back up the same 250 meters stretch.
20:58The more ground they cover, the more they'll feel the burn.
21:01When the front wheels of the truck are over the finish line, the clock stops.
21:05But, what will those 20-second penalties do to the overall time?
21:09Let's find out.
21:13First up to take on our grueling truck pull is Michael Dower and the Walshes.
21:18They won their first event, so they're heading into this with an advantage.
21:23I highly advise somebody to pull a truck and go down and pull like there's no tomorrow.
21:27But, in general, I am worried one of the lads, Michael, has a hamstring, like, it's not great.
21:32I'm going to air mine in the leg a little bit, so just see what works for you.
21:35You might have to go the front way around, figure it out as you go along, and just pull like there's no tomorrow.
21:40I'm feeling pretty confident about this.
21:41It looks like it requires a bit of brute force, so I think it suits us down to the ground.
21:45Once you get it going, like, you'll find out what works for you.
21:47We're going, yeah.
21:48No eliminator for us.
21:49We have a great confidence boost after winning the last race, so we'll use that to our advantage and pull like dogs.
21:54Just like the O'Donovans.
21:57So, lining up for the Walsh family from left to right, Alfie, Amy, Michael and Aidan.
22:01Three, two, one.
22:05And this is truck pull, and they're on the decommissioned runway in Gormonston.
22:10Just came moving.
22:11That's it, that's it.
22:11Amy is at the back there, Mum Amy.
22:14So, Alfie, Aidan and Michael leading the way.
22:16So, this sprint is over 250 metres.
22:20And there's the truck, all seven and a half tonnes of it.
22:26So, what way will they take on these ropes?
22:29So, Michael and Alfie are on one of the ropes.
22:34And Aidan is on his own at the moment, and it's just about getting it going.
22:40So, Amy is arriving now.
22:42Push through the hips.
22:43I'm here.
22:44And this is a serious effort, and they have got that going very nicely, haven't they?
22:48So, the momentum is with the Walsh family.
22:52Push through the hips.
22:53Go, go, go, go, go.
22:54They have no time penalty to deal with.
22:56So, whatever you see at the end on that clock will be their time.
23:02And now they really have this moving.
23:03So, they have to pull up 250 metres.
23:05Alfie, have a try, do it the other way.
23:12Have a try, do it the other way.
23:13Get more leverage on it.
23:14Alfie is starting, is leaving, certainly.
23:16Turn the way down.
23:18Keep it going, keep it going.
23:19And the rope wrapped around the waist is a tug-of-war tactic, but it certainly seems to be working.
23:24Amy just repositioning herself.
23:26Halfway, lads, halfway.
23:27They're at halfway.
23:31It is quite a sight to see four people pulling this.
23:36Huge truck.
23:38Everything burning at this stage.
23:40Keep it going, keep it going, Amy.
23:40Keep giving, whatever you have.
23:42So, this will be the time for the rest to try and better.
23:46Come on, Alfie.
23:47Alfie, come on, Alfie.
23:48So, Michael Dara-McAuley has certainly settled into life as a finish-only coach, hasn't he?
23:52On day one, two and a half minutes.
23:55Start, start, start.
23:56Super, super.
23:57And that finish line is in sight.
24:00Once the front wheels of the truck breach the line, the clock will stop.
24:05These final few metres really, really testing the Walsh family from Westcourt.
24:10They're a GA mad family.
24:14Really, any technique will do now at this stage, but you can see how hunched over they are.
24:19Driving the legs.
24:21Pulling that truck along.
24:22Keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going.
24:23And they are very nearly there.
24:26The last couple of metres for the Walsh family.
24:29And the clock stops at 3 minutes and 16 seconds.
24:32We'll see just how good that is.
24:34Super.
24:35Super.
24:36Well, well, are you all right?
24:39That was rotten.
24:40That was really hard.
24:42I can't stand.
24:42I can't lift my arms.
24:44That was really heavy.
24:45Come on over here to me.
24:47Oh my goodness.
24:48You made that look like a piece of cake.
24:50Oh, I can't talk.
24:53Michael Dara, I feel like that's a good sign.
24:54They gave it their all.
24:55Yeah, I nearly collapsed after that.
24:58They absolutely gave it socks and they left it all out there.
25:01Can't ask me anymore.
25:02If we do face the Eliminator, it's going to be carnage because I had nothing left.
25:08Next up are Anna and the McClements.
25:10Now, they're heading into this with a 20-second time penalty, so they'll have to bring their A game.
25:16The McClements were definitely disappointed after this morning, whereas the truck pull now,
25:20while it's going to be tough, I think it's a chance for them to fail.
25:22Let's give this 100%.
25:24Anna's given us a good strategy.
25:25We just need to start and get it moving as soon as possible.
25:28The hardest part of this is getting it moving, and it's all about getting as low as possible
25:32and getting those legs moving.
25:34The challenge for the McClements is that Sharon is injured,
25:37so what we've done is we've decided to pair James with Sharon,
25:40so James is literally going to be taking all of the weight.
25:43The most I've pulled around the farm is a calf out of the cow,
25:46so I don't know how we'll move it, but we'll give it a shot.
25:49This is a chance now to redeem yourselves and do as much as you can together, okay?
25:54About to go for the McClements are Jude, James, Sarah and Sharon.
26:00And the issue here for the McClements family is that 20-second time penalty
26:08they incurred after boxed to the top.
26:10We've heard about Mum Sharon's injury.
26:14She's not moving particularly freely at the moment,
26:17but we'll see how she copes over the course of this race.
26:21It's going to be challenging.
26:23It's going to be punishing.
26:243.16 is the time they have to try and better set by the Walshers,
26:29who are first to take this on.
26:31So Jude is first to arrive at the ropes.
26:33He's joined by his dad, James, and also there is Sarah.
26:38So they're trying to get this thing moving, and it is moving now.
26:41All seven and a half tons of it.
26:42And then Sharon arrives to help her husband.
26:47James is just repositioning that rope as they got it moving,
26:52and this is moving nicely now.
26:55Let's go, move your legs.
26:57The McClements, well, they're a farming family from County Down.
27:00They get up most mornings at half past four.
27:03They work on the farm.
27:04Then they're in the gym by 6 a.m.,
27:06and then they go to take on the rest of their day.
27:09So here we go, approaching one and a half minutes.
27:15Anagiri wants them to lift the knees.
27:18So Sharon seems to be okay,
27:19but Sarah, her daughter, is going extremely well.
27:23She's a really talented 800 meters runner,
27:25and she is bringing those skills to bear here
27:28as she drives her family forward.
27:31And now, well, they're running with that truck.
27:34This is some performance by the McClements.
27:41Dragging the truck along for all they are worth.
27:44Paula Donovan, the referee,
27:46just keeping an eye on everything.
27:48Two minutes and 30 seconds just gone.
27:503.16 is the time they have to try and get inside.
27:55And they have a good rhythm about them now.
27:59The line is in sight for the McClements.
28:03Second to take on the truck pull.
28:06Sarah really striding forward.
28:09Look at that from Sarah McClements,
28:11leading her family home towards the finish line.
28:14It's going to be tight.
28:163.16, they've got to try and get inside.
28:18They're not going to do it.
28:19They're going to miss.
28:20They're going to miss it.
28:20Sarah McClements is doing all she can,
28:26followed by Sharon and the two lads,
28:28James and Jude.
28:29The finish line is right there,
28:31and it stops at 3.25.
28:33The problem is you've got to add on the 20 seconds,
28:35and it goes to 3.45 for the McClements family.
28:38Yeah, I feel really tired after that,
28:40and totally exhausted.
28:41The legs have gone,
28:43and yeah, that was tough.
28:45They gave everything.
28:46Even as they were crossing the line,
28:47you could see it was gut-wrenching.
28:49It was written all over their faces.
28:50They never gave up,
28:51even though they probably wanted it at times.
28:53The McClements should be really proud of themselves.
28:55Like, they effectively pulled the truck with 3 members.
28:57And considering they kind of did it as a 3,
29:00because, you know, when you have an injury,
29:01you did whatever you could.
29:03You were brilliant.
29:03I feel really, particularly Sarah,
29:06she gave it all.
29:06I'm so proud, particularly of Sarah.
29:08Like, she's, you know, she's 17,
29:10and just for her to have stepped up,
29:12I'm very, very proud of the young lady that she's become.
29:16It was tough,
29:17so I'm glad I managed to get through it.
29:21McClements, well done.
29:23That was no easy feat,
29:24and I'll chat to you in a bit, okay?
29:26Thank you, Laura.
29:26Well done.
29:27You should be really proud.
29:29Next, we have Michael Dower and the Byrne family.
29:32After winning their event,
29:33they're hoping to make it two for two.
29:35That thing moves slowly.
29:36It takes a bit to get moving,
29:37so every second counts here.
29:39So we'll see how it goes, yeah.
29:40It'll scare you at the start.
29:41It'll scare you because it actually won't start moving.
29:43So you'll just get a bit of traction on it,
29:45and then once it gets rolling,
29:46just keep it rolling.
29:47It's going to be tough on the legs by the end of it,
29:49but we'll push through and get it done.
29:50As I said, all in.
29:51And how are you feeling on this one?
29:54I don't think I'll give to full any of that.
29:57I'll just have to do the motions.
30:00Definitely not going to underestimate the other teams,
30:01but we definitely feel a lot more confident
30:03going in with the 20 seconds.
30:0420 seconds or 20 minutes,
30:06I'm still nervous.
30:09On the start line for the Byrne family
30:11are John, Mum, Anne, Jack and Paul.
30:15Three, two, one.
30:17There's no time penalty to deal with here
30:21for the Byrne family from Dublin.
30:24Paul leading the way.
30:27That's it, Anne.
30:28So that run again, a reminder,
30:29it's 250 metres.
30:31Anne is on her way.
30:34So the three lads will get there first,
30:37and Michael, Dara, Macaulay just reminding them
30:39about pace because, well,
30:41they've got to keep as much energy
30:42as they can in the tank
30:44for this next part of the challenge.
30:46Ready?
30:47Truck pull.
30:49So it should suit them.
30:52This strength event.
30:55John is an MMA champion.
30:57They're into high rocks.
30:59Jack.
31:00The lads' cousin is into rugby,
31:03and look at that.
31:04They're driving forward.
31:05So Anne is here now,
31:07and she'll get a hold of that rope.
31:10But the three lads have really got this moving,
31:13and this just feels fast.
31:16It looks impressive.
31:18It is impressive from the Byrne family.
31:19You can see the grimace on Paul's face over
31:22on the far side there,
31:23and now we're right behind him.
31:24He's at the front of that rope
31:25on the left-hand side as we look at it.
31:27The truck is seven and a half tons,
31:30and the runway is long.
31:32It's very long.
31:33They have to move at 250 meters.
31:37So let's take a check on the time.
31:38Approaching two minutes
31:40for the Byrne family.
31:42There's two minutes done.
31:433.16 was the quickest.
31:45That was by the Walsh's earlier on.
31:50So the rhythm,
31:52it feels like they've slowed
31:53a little bit,
31:54but that truck is still moving,
31:55and that's the trick in this event.
31:58And a grimace on the face of Paul
32:00in real discomfort at the moment.
32:02Let's finish it.
32:03Let's go, let's go.
32:04That is the name of the game
32:05as they push towards the finish line.
32:08No stop, 20 meters.
32:10Front higher is over the line.
32:11Michael Dara says there's just 20 meters left.
32:13Oh, there's a fall from Jack,
32:15and he hit the tarmac,
32:16and that has affected their rhythm
32:18and their tempo.
32:18I wonder, is he hurt?
32:20Jack back to his feet
32:21and back pulling that rope,
32:23but certainly he looks very fatigued
32:25at the moment.
32:26It's a hugely demanding event.
32:28Pulling this 7.5 ton truck
32:31over 250 meters.
32:33They are very nearly there.
32:35Jack driving through.
32:36Paul out at the front.
32:38Anne and John as well.
32:39And they're not going to beat
32:413 minutes and 16 seconds.
32:43And they've done it
32:44in 3 minutes and 31 seconds.
32:46They're second fastest for now.
32:51It's like I was in pain looking at them.
32:53So they gave it absolutely socks.
32:55It's like they couldn't speak
32:56for 10 minutes afterwards.
32:57So I think that just shows
32:58they left it out there.
32:59How are you feeling down there?
33:00Thumbs up?
33:01Great, that's all I needed out of you.
33:03You know, you think,
33:04no, not that it's going to be easy,
33:05but I didn't think it'd be that hard.
33:06You must have a big fat driver
33:07in there, have they?
33:09I can't say that.
33:10My mama up at the front
33:11leading the charge.
33:13Alleviating that little bit
33:14of pressure off me,
33:14taking most of the weight
33:15really helped.
33:17Jack, you didn't have a great time
33:19at that.
33:20You struggled a bit.
33:21Yeah, my legs are starting to give in.
33:22We were actually moving really fast.
33:24I couldn't pull
33:25and go backwards fast enough.
33:26So then when I transitioned
33:27back to the original position,
33:29I just tripped over my legs.
33:31So hopefully we got enough
33:32to get through.
33:33Do you think those legs
33:34will be able for an eliminator?
33:36Absolutely.
33:36We're ready for anything.
33:38That's the attitude.
33:39That's the attitude.
33:39Look, come on, mate.
33:40We can see the eliminator
33:42from here
33:42and I'm a little scared.
33:45Finally,
33:46we have Anna and the cars.
33:47They'll need to be
33:48in the top two
33:49in this challenge
33:49to avoid the eliminator.
33:51The first seat
33:52probably didn't really
33:52go our way.
33:53Obviously just lost
33:54by a little bit
33:55so we're kind of out
33:56to get a bit of revenge
33:57on that one.
33:57We have a 20-second penalty.
33:59Very easy to make
34:00that time up
34:01but also we don't want
34:02to be adding
34:02unnecessary seconds
34:03onto our time either
34:04so it's all about dialogue.
34:05Making up to 20 seconds
34:07is going to take
34:08a fair bit of pulling
34:08but we think
34:09if we can get the truck
34:10going pretty quickly
34:11we'll be there
34:11or thereabouts.
34:12Once you get there
34:13you're starting to get
34:14that truck going
34:15and then it's all
34:16for you picking it up.
34:17The mindset to go into
34:18this challenge with
34:19it's anything can happen,
34:20any team
34:21so we just have to go out
34:22and give our best.
34:23Relatively confident
34:24but we were confident
34:26this morning as well
34:27and look at that
34:27turned out
34:28so it won't say too much.
34:31On the start line
34:32for the cars
34:33from left to right
34:34Simon, Elizabeth,
34:35Tom and Gareth.
34:36Three, two, one.
34:38The cars are carrying
34:40a 20-second time penalty
34:42into this truck pull event.
34:45Now the burns time
34:46of 3.31
34:47is the target
34:48for the car family.
34:50If they can get inside
34:513.31
34:52they will avoid
34:53the eliminator.
34:55So there is Tom
34:57and Elizabeth,
35:01Simon and Gareth
35:01are out in front
35:03so let's see
35:04what way they've decided
35:05to divide this up
35:06with these two ropes.
35:10So you've got
35:11Elizabeth and Gareth
35:12on the right
35:13and Simon and Tom
35:15closest to us
35:16and they've got
35:17the truck moving already.
35:20That's a good start.
35:23A little slip there
35:25from Elizabeth
35:26with the rope
35:26and she's now decided
35:27to drape it
35:28over her right shoulder.
35:29A minute done.
35:32And Tom just
35:34telling them to turn
35:35to try and get
35:38some serious momentum
35:39going and now
35:40they have it.
35:41So there's a clear
35:42strategy here
35:43Tom with the rope
35:45wrapped around his
35:46shoulder and around
35:47his waist
35:47and this looks quick.
35:49This is impressive.
35:52Elizabeth out at the front.
35:53She's the number one
35:54ranked triathlete
35:55in the country.
35:56This is not one of the
35:57triathlete disciplines
35:59though.
36:00But that's a serious
36:01performance
36:01and she drives those legs.
36:03Her dad beside her
36:04and her two brothers
36:05behind.
36:06Pump your knees up higher.
36:08So two minutes done.
36:09Get inside 3.31.
36:11They avoid the eliminator
36:12because they would finish
36:13in the top two
36:13and they'd go directly
36:16into the quarterfinals.
36:17Into a bit of a stride
36:18if we can.
36:19The problem is that
36:2020 second time penalty.
36:22The finish line is in sight
36:24and they're slowing down
36:25which is to be expected.
36:26It was such a fast start.
36:28So Simon
36:32behind his dad
36:33Tom.
36:33He's a former
36:34tennis professional.
36:35Hannah wants them
36:39to push as hard
36:40as they can.
36:42They're hunched over again
36:43as they drive
36:44those legs forward.
36:46A roar from Tom
36:48to come on
36:49and get going.
36:50Elizabeth has been
36:51an absolute star
36:52for her family here.
36:53Grimace is in pain.
36:54The finish line is in sight.
36:56It's all about
36:56getting those tires
36:57over that finish line.
37:00Level with the two barrels.
37:01The clock stops.
37:02How have they done?
37:03We'll find out.
37:05Super.
37:05Well done.
37:06Well done.
37:07Under the street.
37:08Anna.
37:09How do you feel after that?
37:10It was phenomenal.
37:11They were brilliant.
37:12Honestly,
37:13they worked so well
37:13as a team
37:14but they powered through.
37:15Power is the word
37:16I would use
37:17as a power of performance.
37:18I think you kind of
37:18left it all out there.
37:20Yeah, definitely
37:20left it out there.
37:21Just 20 seconds
37:22just fingers crossed.
37:23Delighted with the time.
37:24Like our time was so good.
37:26The only thing
37:26that's killing us now
37:27is that 20 seconds.
37:28It's going to haunt us forever.
37:29Lads,
37:30get yourself some water.
37:31Have a bit of a sit down
37:32for a minute
37:33and fingers crossed
37:34that was enough.
37:34I'm quietly confident
37:37about this one
37:38but that's the thing
37:39about Ireland for this family.
37:40Just when you think
37:41you're through.
37:43The unpredictability of it
37:45kills you.
37:46It's time for me
37:48to give the families
37:49the final result.
37:51Hi families.
37:52Well done today.
37:54You left absolutely
37:55everything out there
37:56and that's all
37:57anyone can ask of you.
37:58It is now time
37:59for me to reveal
38:00who the first family are
38:02who are going through
38:04to our quarter finals.
38:05With one second
38:09in the difference.
38:12It's Anna the Carrots.
38:13Congratulations!
38:15I feel really good
38:16after that result.
38:17Definitely giving us
38:18a boost now
38:19to go into the next round.
38:20Buzzing now
38:21to get through that.
38:21Great to get through
38:22automatically
38:23and we'll get some training
38:25in hopefully
38:26before the next event.
38:27Bring on the quarter finals.
38:28Yeah, we'll see.
38:29It's another day.
38:30Another day out.
38:31And the next family
38:32who are going through
38:34to the quarter finals
38:35and avoiding
38:36tonight's eliminator.
38:40It's Michael Darragh
38:41and the Walshes.
38:42Congratulations!
38:43The Walshes,
38:44what a family.
38:45All the boys
38:46have a bit about them
38:47and the man Amy
38:47is absolutely lovely
38:48and gave it
38:49absolute socks today
38:50so it's delightful.
38:51We are absolutely buzzing.
38:53We're buzzing to be true
38:54and we're buzzing.
38:56Being true now
38:56is a relief.
38:57We were really shaking there.
38:59You know what?
38:59We've got one down.
39:00First day done.
39:01Bring on the quarter finals.
39:03Bring on the quarter finals.
39:03We're ready.
39:05The cars stormed
39:07to the top
39:07of the leaderboard
39:08despite their
39:0920 second time penalty
39:10beating the Walsh family
39:12by just one second.
39:14That leaves
39:15Michael Darragh's Burns
39:16and Anna's McClements
39:17facing tonight's eliminator.
39:18Welcome back to Ireland's
39:43fittest family.
39:43Now before the break
39:45we saw Anna's cars
39:46and Michael Darragh's
39:47Walshes make it
39:48straight through
39:48to the quarter finals
39:49but who is going to get
39:51that last spot
39:52up for grabs?
39:53As Michael Darragh
39:54and Anna ramp up
39:55the rivalry
39:55and go head to head
39:57in the first eliminator
39:58of the series.
39:59The McClements
40:00and the Burns family
40:02have already shown
40:03such strength
40:04and teamwork today
40:05it almost feels cruel
40:07to give them
40:08yet another
40:09hard challenge.
40:11I can't wait.
40:11It's the eliminator.
40:17Tonight's eliminator
40:18will be relentless.
40:19First our families
40:20must flip a heavy
40:21truck tyre
40:22for 50 metres
40:23down the runway
40:24until it's completely
40:25past the fittest
40:26family barrels.
40:27Next it's a climb
40:28over a 2.6 metres
40:30high container
40:31and up and over
40:32three round straw bales.
40:35After that
40:35they have to carry
40:36a 50 kilogram
40:37army training log
40:38to a pallet
40:39with eight sandbags.
40:40they have to carry
40:41those to another
40:42pallet before tackling
40:43our eight foot
40:44or 2.4 metres
40:46high wall.
40:47Once over that
40:48it's a run up
40:49our famous ramp.
40:50The first family
40:51with four people
40:51standing at the top
40:53wins the race
40:53and a place
40:54in the quarterfinals.
40:55This now is about
41:04the McClemmons
41:05their back is
41:05against the wall
41:06but if they fight
41:07they have a chance
41:08to win.
41:09I just
41:09I need them
41:09to bring that fight
41:10now.
41:10Just back yourself
41:11it's all it is
41:12it's about just
41:13trusting your fitness
41:14and backing yourself.
41:15I feel like a rabbit
41:16caught in the headlights
41:17going into the eliminator
41:18how do you feel James?
41:20I don't know
41:21what way to take it
41:21but we'll try our best.
41:23Well I'm feeling
41:25dread.
41:27But we got this
41:28we're going to
41:29give her what we got
41:30and go until
41:31the wheels fall off.
41:32This is a long race
41:33there's so many
41:34obstacles going on here
41:35there's so many
41:35things that can go wrong
41:36so that's all I'm
41:37saying to the lads
41:38I'm like just
41:38stay in the game
41:39stick with it
41:40do your best
41:40just give it socks
41:41leave it out there
41:41you're going to die
41:42in this but just
41:42leave it out there
41:43right?
41:43Ready to go?
41:44Yeah.
41:44Let's go.
41:45We got this.
41:47Fiona will be a bit
41:48nervous but
41:49we'll push through it.
41:51It's going to be tough
41:51like the McClemmons
41:52they're absolutely
41:53underdogs
41:53no one's given them
41:54a chance
41:55everyone loves
41:56an underdog.
41:58This is our first
41:59eliminator of the
41:59new series
42:00for the Byrne family
42:01it's Jack, John,
42:03Anne and Paul
42:03and for the McClemmons
42:05it's James, Sharon,
42:06Jude and Sarah
42:07and they are
42:12underway back out
42:13on the decommissioned
42:15runway in Gormonston
42:16and County Meath
42:17that tire is very heavy
42:20and it's not easy at all
42:22Anne is just stepping
42:23away from it and
42:23letting the three
42:24lads at it
42:25it's difficult to
42:26keep it in a straight
42:27line
42:28Sharon McClemmons is
42:29keeping out of this
42:30as well
42:31she's just standing
42:32away from it
42:33and in front of the
42:34rest of her family
42:34James, Jude and Sarah
42:35and they
42:36have got this
42:38but the Byrne family
42:41from Dublin
42:42are leading
42:43so they're changing
42:44who flips the tire
42:46Anne isn't getting
42:47involved in it at all
42:48but they have the lead
42:51and they're very nearly
42:52at the finish line
42:53in pink
42:54the Byrne family
42:55the McClemmons
42:56wearing light blue
42:57and the three of them
43:00you can hear the
43:00instructions to each
43:01other
43:01so it is a lead
43:03for the Byrne family
43:04closely followed
43:06by the McClemmons
43:07so they have to go
43:09around that barrel
43:09and they're up to
43:10the container
43:10it's 2.6 metres high
43:12this is about
43:14teamwork, strategy
43:15and calmness
43:17under pressure
43:18and there is an
43:19awful lot of pressure
43:20there is so much
43:21at stake
43:21there is a place
43:22in the quarterfinals
43:24up for grabs
43:25so that's Anne Byrne
43:26who's helped up
43:27to the top
43:27of the container
43:28Sharon McClemmons
43:31is almost there
43:32as well
43:32that's her son
43:33Jude
43:33so she's got
43:37to the top
43:37and Anne Byrne
43:38has got down
43:39the other side
43:40of the container
43:41so there's very
43:44little between them
43:44really
43:45slight advantage
43:47for the Byrne family
43:48all four of them
43:49away from that
43:50container
43:50so
43:51the McClemmons
43:52still stuck up
43:53on the roof
43:53here we go
43:54with these bales
43:55and up over
43:58the first of them
43:59and a bit of a
44:03slip there
44:03from Jude
44:04McClemmons
44:05Anne wants them
44:06to push it now
44:07so the Byrne family
44:10are still at the bales
44:11there they are
44:13just ahead
44:14so Anne has got
44:17help from the rest
44:18of her family
44:18in each of these
44:19it really is
44:20whatever works
44:21and they are
44:22so difficult
44:22to get over
44:24and away from
44:25Sharon McClemmons
44:27there at that bale
44:28she's pushing
44:28through the pain
44:29barrier
44:30she has an injury
44:30from the very
44:31first event today
44:32the Byrne family
44:33have that 50kg
44:35army training log
44:36and they are
44:38moving well with it
44:39Michael Darryl
44:39McCauley beside them
44:40the McClemmons
44:41trying to close
44:42the gap
44:43and that gap
44:44is growing
44:45all the time
44:46for the Byrne family
44:47and they have
44:50dropped that log
44:51at the sandbags
44:53there's always
44:53going to be
44:54sandbags involved
44:54today
44:55and it doesn't
44:57matter how many
44:57you take
44:57off they go
44:58with them
44:59so the McClemmons
45:01have closed
45:01a little bit
45:02and there's no need
45:04at this stage
45:04of the race
45:05to panic
45:05they are still
45:06in this
45:06and still in
45:07with a fighting
45:08chance
45:08the sandbags
45:10are on the move
45:11and they've got
45:12to drop them
45:13on that pallet
45:14as the Byrne family
45:15head towards
45:16the wall
45:17it's 8 foot high
45:182.4 metres high
45:20and Michael Darryl
45:22McCauley wants
45:23them to power
45:24through
45:24the McClemmons
45:25have closed
45:25how smooth
45:27can they be
45:28here at the wall
45:28they're very tired
45:29at this stage
45:30both families are
45:31so two of the Byrne
45:32family up at the
45:33top of the wall
45:34they'll help
45:34the other two
45:35to get up there
45:35Anne on the right
45:36been helped up
45:37in the pit
45:37t-shirt
45:38almost been dragged
45:40up
45:40Michael Darryl
45:41McCauley is very
45:41close
45:42up with his family
45:43the pressure builds
45:45the tension builds
45:46so that is
45:48Sharon who's got
45:49up to the top
45:49of the wall
45:50for the McClemmons
45:51and Anne Byrne
45:53gets over
45:54the other side
45:55and she gets
45:55a look at this
45:56ramp
45:56Michael Darryl
45:58McCauley
45:58by the way
45:59is keeping
45:59a very close
46:00eye on
46:00just how close
46:01the McClemmons
46:02are
46:02because they
46:03have closed
46:03the gap
46:04there's no
46:04question about
46:05that
46:05but they need
46:07to get away
46:07from this wall
46:08now
46:08as quickly
46:09as they
46:09possibly can
46:10first to go
46:12for the Byrne
46:12family
46:13is Jack
46:14he's up there
46:15the advantage
46:15is still
46:16with the Byrne
46:16family
46:17and John Byrne
46:18having a go
46:18now so they
46:19two up there
46:20the McClemmons
46:20need to get a move
46:21on
46:21they really do
46:22that's Jude
46:23McClemmons
46:23hanging on over
46:24on the far side
46:25now Paul Byrne
46:26has got up there
46:26so there's three
46:27of the Byrne
46:27family up there
46:28only Anne to get up
46:29and they'll win a place
46:30in the quarterfinal
46:31Jude McClemmons
46:32is still hanging on
46:33his dad James
46:34trying to get up there
46:34and Jude has come
46:35back down the ramp
46:36it's going wrong
46:37for the McClemmons
46:38family
46:38can the Byrne
46:39family get their mum
46:41Anne up to the top
46:42Anne is dragged
46:43up to the top
46:43she's up there now
46:45what a performance
46:45from the Byrne family
46:46from Michael
46:47Darrell McCauley
46:48Anne stands up
46:49they all stand up
46:50and they win
46:50they are true
46:51to the quarterfinals
46:52the McClemmons
46:53gave it absolutely
46:54everything
46:54but they're out
46:55of the competition
46:56well done
46:57well done guys
47:00I am gutted
47:01that they've gone
47:02out of the competition
47:03but as a family
47:04they have done
47:04something amazing
47:05and that they know
47:06they couldn't have
47:06given anything more
47:07and as a coach
47:08you can't but be
47:09proud of that
47:09how are you feeling
47:11that was so tough
47:12I'm very proud of Sharon
47:12you know what
47:13yeah it was
47:14I gave it my all
47:15it was a close call
47:16in the end
47:17and we did make
47:18some grind
47:19so again I'm proud
47:20of that
47:20well done
47:21you did the ramp
47:22it must feel good
47:23yeah it does
47:24didn't think
47:25I would get up there
47:26well no bother to you
47:28either
47:28it was a wee bit
47:29hard like
47:30I'm exhausted
47:31and can't wait
47:32for my bed tonight
47:33we're so sad to lose
47:34but you did
47:35phenomenal today
47:37congratulations

47:38well done
47:39give yourselves a group hug
47:40you deserve it
47:41you should be so proud
47:42of yourselves
47:42now it's a case
47:43of me having to say
47:44out loud
47:45Michael Darrow
47:46won
47:46and a nil
47:48that kills me to say it
47:50the lads actually
47:54hit it like perfectly
47:54and it actually worked
47:55out so
47:55I'm absolutely buzzing
47:56for the Burns
47:57and especially Fran
47:58look at the state
48:00it was a tough challenge
48:01our backs were against
48:02the wall
48:03but yeah it was tough

48:05now

48:10how do you feel
48:12pretty soft
48:14I think we're a bit rough
48:16with her over the
48:17veiled hay
48:17and stuff like that
48:18I'm proud of them
48:19for hauling me
48:21all around the place
48:22yes
48:22and through to the
48:24quarter finals
48:25how does it feel
48:26great
48:27amazing
48:27I always thought
48:28we would make it
48:29but maybe not
48:30the long way
48:31by putting yourself
48:32in these uncomfortable
48:33situations
48:34you're going to get
48:35more comfortable
48:35so we're going to
48:36up the ante
48:36train a lot harder
48:37and come ready
48:38for the quarter finals
48:39so I hope they're all ready

49:35The Unreal

49:37now on RTU Player
49:38it's all about a family
49:39who discovered
49:40they escaped an 80s sitcom
49:41then there's a spooky
49:42visit to a hotel
49:44a ghost child
49:44and to be honest
49:45it just gets weirder
49:46from there
49:46it's worth a watch
49:47as far as a gaming
49:57to go
49:57I know
49:58but that's it
49:59because a situation
49:59it's not worth it
50:01yeah
50:01it's a having a
50:01good boy
