00:00We're going live to Colombia for the final decorations on the fourth summit of CELAC EU. Let's listen.
00:30The main, the very existence of the humanity, as we have said, as we have talked of the climate crisis. There is no way of solving these problems if it's not through the sheer commitment of all humanity and the state representations nowadays.
00:48No country by itself can solve the problem of climate crisis. No country by itself can solve problems such as poverty. No country by itself can manage the issues of information, of digital economics.
01:09No country by itself can solve the problems of humanity. And the way is not that a country by itself gets the role of solving them all together, but we can do that together.
01:24And what we have shown to the world amidst barbaric times and genocides that have existed, we can talk about democracy and shared agreements.
01:37In these 50-something items of the joint statement, we tell the world that it's possible to agree on something. And it's possible in terms of differences to reach consensus.

04:43as a meeting point amongst cultures as a symbol of union and cooperation amongst our nations within a
04:53political context so so complex like this summit which is sending a clear message to the world even in the
05:04moments of most uncertainty in Europe Latin America and the Caribbean they continue to maintain their bet on
05:12the dialogue instead of the division the cooperation and not confrontation association instead of isolation the
05:25relation amongst the countries of select in the European Union is a relation amongst peers is a relation that was built on
05:34by a relation다음 п
05:45social justice and respect
05:51in the international legality and multilateralism
06:02that has been reflected in the joint declarations
06:06that we have adopted today in Santa Marta,
06:09with which we have achieved several objectives.
06:15In the first place, consolidate the relationship
06:20between the two regions by celebrating the summit two years
06:24later after the previous one, just as we agreed in 2023.
06:32It is important to remember that before the summit of 2023,
06:38eight years passed since the previous one.
06:43Our relationship is more dynamic and intense nowadays
06:47with political structured dialogues,
06:50with dozens of visits of high level every year,
06:54and multiple ministerial meetings in different formats,
06:59such as the one we're going to be having tomorrow,
07:01with the leaders of the Caribbean.
07:04In the second place, this attestation
07:07demonstrates the importance of multilateral dialogues.
07:12Take a look and notice that today,
07:1660 countries of two continents with ideological perspectives
07:22that are very diverse have come to agreements through dialogue
07:28on critical matters of nowadays, reaffirming our defense
07:36of international rights and respect to the Charter of the United
07:42Nations anywhere and every time, because what the multipolar world
07:51requires nowadays is multilateral cooperation as well as bi-sectional cooperation
07:59that we represent hereby.
08:01In the third place, we have agreed to continue to promote the world trade
08:07that is fair, sustainable, and mutually beneficial.
08:12The result of the tight cooperation of the last 10 years has translated
08:20into an increase of 52% of goods trading and 93% in the case of services.
08:31And there is potential for a lot more.
08:34Together, we are harvesting the path for this relationship to go beyond,
08:46hoping that our citizens can benefit from the fruits of this harvest,
08:53increasing strategic autonomy, which means sovereignty in both regions.
09:01And in fourth place, we have given a new boost to the big European program
09:07of investments, the Global Gateway, whose execution has sped up
09:15since our former summit two years ago.
09:20We are mobilizing 31 billion euros in more than 100 initiatives in all the region.
09:31And now, we are going to put in a startup a new package of projects,
09:38of which I can give examples, such as the digital connection via satellite projects,
09:45which are going to take internet to the most remote places of the region,
09:50of which 1,000 of citizens are going to be benefiting,
09:54besides the health care systems and local administrations,
09:58or the extension of the Cable Vela program for Central America and Peru,
10:05besides the initiative for the integration of regional electric networks
10:13in Latin America and the Caribbean, with 22 strategic projects that are going
10:18to create electric systems that are more efficacious and safer,
10:22with the new network of supercomputers that will connect Europe and Latin America
10:28and the Caribbean, boosting innovation, investigation of the technological partners.
10:37Lastly, today we have committed to reinforce our cooperation in several ambiances,
10:47particularly in safety, health care, and our fight against organized crime and narcotraffic.
10:55Through the cooperation of the judiciary bodies and the police,
11:03always within the respect of the international legal frameworks.
11:08Within this sense, we have agreed two additional statements separated in the regional territories.
11:17First, an alliance for citizenship safety, which is going to strengthen the cooperation between the European Union,
11:26Latin America and the Caribbean in the Caribbean in the fight against organized crime, including the traffic of drugs.
11:35Secondly, a pact towards care to facilitate exchanges based on good practices in the economy of care.
11:46Definitely, with this summit in Santa Marta, we have accomplished our goals, made our goals,
11:56of consolidating and moving towards the bisexual relationship in the different territories,
12:05so that the economic aspect of our country goes hand in hand with development, social justice, and human rights.
12:15Because this is the conviction within the heart of the bonds between Latin America, Europe, and the Caribbean.
12:24Thank you so much.
12:25And thank you, President Gustavo Francisco Petro.
12:29Thank you so much.
12:30Thank you, Mr. Antonio Costa, President of the European Council.
12:45Coming up next, we are going to listen to the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Policies of the European Commission, Caya Callas.
