00:05add an edge rusher from the dolphins jalen phillips what can we expect out of this defense

00:11and what could phillips bring that defensive unit this year yeah joe let's start with jalen

00:15phillips and we'll get the other transactions and how i'm bullish on the eagles i wasn't earlier in

00:19the season when they had problems joe with their pass rush hence the trade for jalen phillips who's

00:24totally healthy played well before the trade now he's not quite all the way back that he was from

00:29the acl injury and the torn achilles but he looks really good the eagles pass rushers kevin could

00:34tell you being eagles fan he's not been very good uh but now you add phillips who's going to start

00:39he's going to be a starter he played with vic fangio eagles defense coordinator two years ago with

00:43miami so he's going to be an impact player no doubt uh joe that that's a great addition they needed to

00:49do it and then jair alexander what's interesting i know on the surface you say why would you even

00:53trade for a guy who was a healthy and active for several weeks well alexander told the local media

00:58and philly that this is the best he felt since last season would be a knee surgery because he

01:03had knee problems uh with the ravens and physically he was not right he got burned badly for the two

01:08games that he played particularly against the texans but he says he's healthy um they're going to take a

01:13look at him relatively soon he may play monday night the eagles hope is that he'll eventually be

01:18the starter because keely ringo and really adory jackson have not worked out that's why they made

01:23this trade then michael carter jr guys as i sent it back to you will back up at safety and back up

01:28a nickel and it also kevin if they ever want to move cooper to gene more he does play corner when

01:34they play their base defense but they if they want to play him more on a full-time basis for for

01:39whatever reason if it's not working out at corner and they move to gene back there they can move michael

01:55you know resurfaces once again what have you heard around everything dallas just did this past week

02:13like quentin williams so pairing williams and clark together we know how bad the run defense has been

02:27play this will help them and by the way to make the playoffs they're three five and one they're plus
