00:29:28so i want like something super sleek very tight very low clean tight like bun so i'm going to start
00:29:42by using the tresemme pro infusion smooth tonic it takes away a little bit of frizz and it keeps
00:29:47your hair hydrated as well especially when you're doing a sleek look like a bun
00:29:51so i want to do like a sleek pony kind of like the the idea of some texture but very sophisticated
00:30:02i'm going to use the tresemme one step curl cream to like help keep the waves it's going to help with
00:30:08the humidity resistance that is great i want this to kind of show like i really want a little like a
00:30:17peak of a skin what's happening over here no jacket it's not the fabric is not working enough
00:30:24in the jacket so i decided to use this element as the oversized element uh-huh the cape sleeve
00:30:29it like draped into her you mind walking and like yeah let's see how that and then the slim fitting is
00:30:35like the bodycon shape of the dress did you make the jacket i did it's just not it's not it's not it's
00:30:43not good no it's not working as much as i tried with the fabric it's not working with me because

00:36:30the perfect person to judge our looks hi everyone it is such a pleasure to be here i'm so excited to see
00:36:37what you guys did thank you two styles one look we can't wait to see what you guys did

00:37:02the fabric is so beautiful i know that i have done both modest and sexy and what that interpretation was
00:37:08for me this is so good and i'm really really proud of the look that i've made
00:37:20it's just for you nobody else heard well america
00:37:27i can stand next to this explaining where the modesty comes in and where the sexiness comes in
00:37:50this is definitely one of those looks that represent me you don't make origami in a one-day
00:37:55challenge it's kind of crazy and i went and did it
00:38:04i completely love the look there's some edge to it it is elegant
00:38:25a girl is looking tight i love it i see the classic and the trendy and it's absolutely clear for me
00:38:39there's no confusion there oh she don't even need to sell all she needs to do is walk and it's sold it's
00:38:48elementary and giving and more
00:38:53how does one get into that you say i represent myself as a designer i did i gave you 100 me
00:39:14i really feel like this dress is very suited for emily the skin cutouts make it sexy the
00:39:26black makes it kind of chic and edgy the way the cape is moving around looks really interesting
00:39:34it's like the cape built into the hem and then goes into the top she looks really stunning
00:39:38i mean this has been a stressful journey but i turned this around and looking at this dress on
00:39:49emily i'm really proud of it so it really comes down to judge's personal taste at this point
00:39:54it's going to be hard to pick three bottoms not that hard

00:40:10i love the way the split is showcasing that thigh i love the cut the detachable hoodie is just fitting

00:42:31classic i took a blazer
00:42:33and trendy was a motorcycle pants
00:42:35is it a jumpsuit or is it a top and bottom no no no it's a jumpsuit and then the fabric on the back
00:42:42uh this is soothing fabric italian wool so i love the duality of this thank you and i love that play
00:42:48if it's classic in the back and the front it's trendy party whatever you want to call it well done
00:42:54beautiful execution as usual thank you it's giving like mugle and old balenciaga but almost fresher and i
00:43:01love it thank you imagine me in that
00:43:07it's not really trendy to me it is trendy but to me this looks like something that you would own
00:43:12now and then you would own it in 20 years so to me it's a classic okay but i've really taken aback
00:43:17by your ability on any model that you get to tailor so beautifully in such a short amount of time thank

00:43:31look i love the color the red just popped off the runway i love the sharp shoulders the fit of

00:43:51so what two styles did you get basic and bold i'm curious how did you interpret basic i took the
00:44:04basic for the fabric and for the idea of a hoodie and just turned into a gown for like the bold aspect
00:44:11i don't know how successful it was vishmi the sparkly accents on the bust made the look feel a
00:44:17bit dated and it went a bit beauty pageant got you i'm curious like just in terms of the silhouette
00:44:23why did you go to that one because i thought that this would work
00:44:30that hoodie needed to feel effortless and it is feeling forced it was interesting to see this gown
00:44:39in that material but i think you try to push it so much into being sexy that it's struggling
00:44:49for me of all of the looks i feel like you actually kind of nailed the directive the best
00:44:55in a way i really did get the bold color gown with the boning and then at the same time like that
00:45:03hoodie and the fabric like i never would have attempted to make a gown like that in that fabric

00:45:17to speak with you next rami what were your words i have fitted and oversized all right i feel that the
00:45:30fitted is self-explanatory yes i'm curious about oversized the oversized is the extended cape sleeve
00:45:37that is a part of the train that folds over okay and tell us about this look it's a silk jersey
00:45:43and when i thought of the fitted i decided to drape the skirt and then drape the top and then it's
00:45:50connected into the back together i do think this is more fitted than oversized i wish you could have
00:45:58found a way to make that cape maybe more billowy it doesn't give me the juxtaposition between
00:46:07fitted and oversized that was my same thought when i saw it do you feel like it's oversized i mean i
00:46:13started with a jacket and then i changed direction because i just didn't feel like it was the right look
00:46:19per se so i decided to go for the sleeve instead afterwards i wanted more from the cape and i wanted to
00:46:27see something a bit more dramatic so i'm wondering how that connects the skirt to the dress it actually
00:46:36drapes into this neckline here and it's and then it ties around from that yes i think it's very beautiful
00:46:44and the draping it's super chic but as far as the challenge goes maybe not tip top but um it's a great
00:46:52look thank you so much i appreciate that i think you you made some good decisions that were the right
00:46:56ones for her proportion you look stunning but at the end of the day the job is to put something down

00:47:27all right what words did you have elegant and edgy all right tell us about your look the elegant i know
00:47:34i could work with but the edgy the first thing that came to mind was art so i'm like you know what let's
00:47:38just go bold and give it an edge by creating this architectural origami top there and then give
00:47:45it a front slit to kind of make it modern and more fresh i definitely get the elegant side of things
00:47:52the part that i think maybe wasn't so balanced was the edgy part of it i also feel like the color choice
00:47:59was maybe a little too you know old-fashioned they're just kind of very primary colors that for
00:48:08me make the look less exciting i mean i get it i really appreciated the fact that you made it
00:48:15architectural origami-esque and i could see a very good idea that could be translated into other things
00:48:25but for me it was safe it wasn't my favorite but it wasn't my least favorite you know this part is
00:48:32very interesting you really gave us something kind of architectural in a way and makes you want to
00:48:38lean in to understand it i think it's a conversation piece yeah i agree there was a lot of great work
00:48:45in the top what is the technique it's origami it's press fold press fold and it's fused in something
00:48:52it's fused a couple times with heavy facing to give it like a a cardboard structure so you can actually
00:48:58create the shape thanks praje mimi thank you thank you thank you okay kato you're up next
00:49:05hey kato how are you hey i'm good tell us what button did you draw casual and formal all right tell
00:49:19us about the look i wanted to do kind of like the take on the ball skirt so they're ball pants
00:49:23with the bomber i wanted to be tailored and have some elements that still kind of connect the two
00:49:28together the pant is love i could see how it'd be really fun to walk in i always love pockets the
00:49:36jacket i just wasn't sure about the fit doesn't seem right i hate to disagree with the jiva i like the
00:49:47jacket i think where you lost me was with the brocade oversized pant here i just felt like you needed
00:49:57something a little more streamlined so this for me did not work that's funny you say that because
00:50:04last week i did a gray taylor pant with the sweater with the leather details and and i was just about
00:50:11to tell me i was safe right because safe to me is kind of boring and just no no i didn't say boring i
00:50:16said safe yeah on the runway with all the dresses and all those big moments it felt like one of the most
00:50:23safe things i really feel like when i come up here i get these mixed messages

00:50:42the work i'm doing like the week before with the jumpsuit there's so many great details in there so it
00:50:48was in black again so i was okay i'm gonna stay away from the black and bring in some color
00:50:55it's interesting it sounds like you're you feel like you're getting mixed messages which may be
00:51:00informing some of the decisions that are being made and it's helpful to hear that but the fit of the
00:51:05pant is impeccable and the design of the pant is really impressive i think for me where it fell short
00:51:11was the choice to use that brocade print it feels dated i don't want to have that title on me like it's not
00:51:18cool or it's not modern i'm older so i make things for older people so i can't do anything modern
00:51:24older women can be modern they can that's why we want to see it you said before that your consumer is
00:51:29mature yeah mature maturity means independence i was mature at 18 i moved out of my parents house
00:51:36i never looked back so maturity for me is being able to take care of yourself and know where you're
00:51:41going and do it fully without depending on anything or anybody else just because she's mature doesn't
00:51:46mean she can't be fresh forward looking and have a cool factor that's what's lacking that's what we'd
00:51:52love to see more of and i know that you can deliver that this doesn't deliver against that
00:51:57i stand by it it does represent who i am and i'm not for everybody so it's all right

00:52:37to do is have the silhouette and the style of the dress be modest so whenever i thought sexy i thought
00:52:44of lace the sexy aspect of it is that you can see what she's wearing underneath i think it looks beautiful
00:52:51it definitely screams like met gala to me i make a lot of modest dresses so i could really imagine
00:52:57that shape in a fabric i'd traditionally do but it's beautifully made so i love it thank you i understand
00:53:05the shape in itself is intended to be modest but it's fully transparent for that modesty but this
00:53:15metallic lace works really well i love the work that you did on the sleeves all in all i thought it
00:53:22was a really beautiful look thank you britney i really love this design and i could see you doing
00:53:30this in a lot of different fabrics this is unexpected coming from you and it's nice to see your range

00:54:26to pick apart every single thing about the looks this particular challenge today is so hard to judge
00:54:35because fashion is very subjective absolutely right the words used to describe this duality elegant and edgy
00:54:45fitted and oversized basic and bold formal and casual sexy and modest classic and trendy
00:54:52are you kidding i would sit there for 12 hours and be in a full-blown spiral i would just be crying in
00:54:59mood like behind me like in the corner i don't know what we're gonna do let's make nina do it i'm not
00:55:07sorry only one person can win project runway unfortunately not six so let's talk about our favorites yes
00:55:14i can talk about laurence i thought it was really spectacular it was interesting it was angular it was
00:55:22like business in the front party in the back with the different fabrics i think she really nailed it it
00:55:28was about taking something classic and making it feel forward and to me she absolutely did that the big
00:55:34surprise of the night for me was the fact that this was britney her interpretation was very chic i kind
00:55:43of love this outfit she interpreted this challenge in a way that i appreciate and that she made it
00:55:48cohesive i love that britney stepped out of her comfort zone she really did a great job yes well nina
00:55:56what do you think about rami's look i loved rami's look i do i've never really seen rami construct
00:56:02anything oversized but i also thought there was something really beautiful about that drape and how
00:56:09confident his model felt with that dress he didn't really make something oversized but who wouldn't
00:56:16wear that i would wear that it would hit me in all the right spots all right now we need to discuss
00:56:23who's going home tonight let's start by talking about praje listen with praje he interpreted edgy as
00:56:30artful and it just kind of fell flat for me i appreciate that he wants to show us that he does evening
00:56:36wear but find a way to deliver that with the cool factor that we've come to know you for although what
00:56:42praje did up here was really interesting i think the elementary colors didn't read in any way elegant for
00:56:50me the color seemed kind of bland it wasn't a total failure but yeah it wasn't all it could have been
00:56:58can we talk about bishmi the bedazzling was kind of tasteless but it could have been great i came off
00:57:08such a high with him last challenge that felt so new and fresh and to go back to this look in pink
00:57:16sweatshirt with bedazzled bust that you can't miss was just really so confusing if your interpretation of
00:57:25basic is sweatshirt then there should be an effortlessness to that look and the dress was
00:57:33the opposite of that obviously not perfect like you could see all of the ways it didn't work the slip
00:57:40was a little crazy you know now talking about coteau i wonder if you all feel that this was an
00:57:46interesting idea it's tough i mean i think the formal and casual was there like bomber jacket and like
00:57:53fancy fabrics but for me the jacket just was like not desirable i think the volume of that pant
00:58:04really drowned her model and i could not get past that the design of the pants was really great
00:58:12there's something elegant about that kind of a pant i think all three of them had issues and it's
00:58:17hard for me to decide which one is worse than the other this is tough
00:58:37so obviously this was a very difficult challenge to judge because of how subjective these words are and
00:58:45we want you to know that we definitely took that into consideration when we judge tonight
