00:23Season 17 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia just wrapped in August,
00:27and Charlie Day is already eager to get back to work.
00:30We all felt like this past season was one of our best in years,
00:34so we're excited to get back into the writer's room, he says of the upcoming 18th season.
00:39Charlie Day launched Four Walls whiskey with his It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,
00:44co-stars Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney.
00:47Rob, Glenn, and I have been approached by a lot of people over the years to make various things,
00:51and it never felt right to us, he says.
00:53When this idea came together, the Irish and American blend felt like a story we could tell
00:58in the same way that we've told the story of our character's Irish-American pub.
01:02As we've all gotten busier over the years with families and careers beyond sunny,
01:07this has also been a fun excuse for us to get together and call it work.
01:10I've always enjoyed whiskey.
01:12Glenn is the expert of our group, but I like a good Irish as much as the next guy.
01:17Charlie Day made several appearances in Boston.
01:19He hosted a jam-packed event at Lucky's Lounge, for example,
01:23to promote Four Walls whiskey and meet up with fans.
01:27I grew up near here in Rhode Island,
01:29so it reminds me of going out with my friends in my early 20s, he says.
01:33I went to college in North Andover, Massachusetts, at Merrimack,
01:36and did my first paid acting gig at the Huntington Theater.
01:39So Boston just feels like home.
