00:00Reynal's Tolkoon, when she dies, it's an extraordinary sequence to watch, but you
00:15would not believe what I was acting to, and even I couldn't believe it, and I was thinking,
00:22okay, I've got to dig deep here. Dig deep, use your imagination.
00:30There are times where I just am in awe at the performers of what they can pull off. We try
00:37and give as much as we can, but she's emoting about the loss of her spirit sister to a minimally
00:43sculpted eye. She was a composer of songs. Much revered. We would sing together.
00:52She waited many breeding cycles to have this gaffe.
00:55That's very memorable to me. That's the most extreme version of imagining. It was easier
01:02imagining an iceberg passing by.
01:06What is this? Don't worry.
01:10What is this?
01:13I feel her, Dad.
01:17Feel who?
01:18Look, the long and short of it is, the actor is the foundation of what we do. It's our
01:27job to protect the actor's choices all the way through the pipe. The human interaction
01:31that happens, the emotional interaction, the intimacy and the tension that happens between
01:36those actors in that moment is everything. Like they have a soul. They are thinking, and
01:43they have a fully formed character. Zoey, when she steps on the stage, is Niteri. She basically
01:48tries to bring Niteri's full life to the character every time. It's incumbent on us to keep that
01:54alive.
