00:04Under the ASEAN Year of Skills 2025,
00:07Malaysia's human capital initiatives are now being studied
00:10and even replicated across the region.
00:13The year-long effort has cemented Malaysia's role
00:16as a regional driver of skills development.
00:19At the heart of this movement is the Human Resource Development Corporation,
00:23which is leading Malaysia's push to upskill its workforce.
00:27HRD Corp Chief Executive Syed Awi Mohamad Sultan
00:31says Malaysia's efforts are setting the tone
00:34for a more connected, future-ready ASEAN workforce.
00:38A lot of our ASEAN counterparts are impressed
00:40with what we have achieved in Malaysia.
00:43And one example is our National Training Week.
00:47This concept has now been adopted
00:49or being adopted by our neighbouring countries
00:52like Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
00:54Cambodia, as an example,
00:56looking at how to form their own skills development fund
01:01the like of HRD Corp or HRD Fund.
01:04Malaysia's approach is evolving beyond training subsidies
01:07toward shaping national policy and regional collaboration.
01:12One of the major milestones,
01:14the National Human Capital Conference and Exhibition 2025.

02:42of training, upskilling, reskilling
02:45and retraining workers
02:47in order to ensure that, again,
02:49no one is left behind
02:50and believing that talent
02:52is the most essential element
02:54in the growth of any economy.
