00:00Malaysia is making waves in the world of workforce transformation.
00:04Under the ASEAN Year of Skills 2025,
00:07Malaysia's human capital initiatives are now being studied
00:10and even replicated across the region.
00:13The year-long effort has cemented Malaysia's role
00:16as a regional driver of skills development.
00:19At the heart of this movement is the Human Resource Development Corporation,
00:23which is leading Malaysia's push to upskill its workforce.

00:31says Malaysia's efforts are setting the tone
00:34for a more connected, future-ready ASEAN workforce.
00:38A lot of our ASEAN counterparts are impressed
00:40with what we have achieved in Malaysia.
00:43And one example is our National Training Week.
00:47This concept has now been adopted
00:49or being adopted by our neighbouring countries
00:52like Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
00:54Cambodia, as an example,
00:56looking at how to form their own skills development fund
01:01the like of HRD Corp or HRD Fund.
01:04Malaysia's approach is evolving beyond training subsidies
01:07toward shaping national policy and regional collaboration.
01:12One of the major milestones,
01:14the National Human Capital Conference and Exhibition 2025.
01:18The three-day event brought together 3,000 delegates
01:21and international experts
01:23to explore the theme
01:24Navigating the Human Capital Revolution.
01:27In his opening speech,
01:28Human Resources Minister Stephen Sim
01:30reaffirmed Malaysia's commitment
01:32to building a future-ready workforce
01:35and leading ASEAN's shift
01:36towards inclusive, tech-driven growth.
01:39And as artificial intelligence reshapes the job market,
01:43Malaysia is preparing its people to thrive,
01:45not just survive in a digital future.
01:48HRD Corp and Kesuma will continue to intensify our efforts
01:52to provide more training programmes and courses,
01:56including free training courses
01:58to help Malaysians adopt and adapt
02:01to the new AI-driven labour market.
02:04Malaysia's workforce transformation model
02:06is showing that upskilling and inclusion
02:09can go hand-in-hand.
02:11Since 2023,
02:12more than 6 billion ringgit in training funds
02:15have helped upskill over 4 million workers nationwide.
02:19Under EOS 2025,
02:21Malaysia has led flagship programmes
02:23such as the ASEAN Human Capital Development
02:25Investment Symposium,
02:27the ASEAN TVET Conference
02:28and the Global Skills Forum,
02:31platforms that bring together governments,
02:33industries and educators
02:34to strengthen regional cooperation
02:37and lifelong learning across ASEAN.
02:40We will continue to push the boundaries
02:42of training, upskilling, reskilling
02:45and retraining workers
02:47in order to ensure that, again,
02:49no one is left behind
02:50and believing that talent
02:52is the most essential element
02:54in the growth of any economy.
