00:0016 Celebrities have enlisted in real military training.
00:07You stepped in to our world.
00:10In the home of Special Forces selection.
00:13This is where it began.
00:15Ocean warfare is treacherous.
00:17I'm giving you a taste of the pain of it.
00:19No prizes, no special treatment.
00:22This is not a holiday!
00:24This is Special Forces, World's Toughest Test.
00:27You're in hell.
00:30Day one of selection.
00:34As post recruits.
00:37To their limits.
00:42I can't breathe.
00:44Now, we will survive the day.
00:48Do you understand what sort of tasks you would be doing?
00:51I cannot get injured.
00:54How did it go, Stevie?
00:57I just had to have a private conversation.
01:0115 hours into selection.
01:04Number five has just returned from a visit to the Navy.
01:07The Navy.
01:08The Navy.
01:09The Navy.
01:10The Navy.
01:11The Navy.
01:12The Navy.
01:13The Navy.
01:14The Navy.
01:15The Navy.
01:16The Navy.
01:17The Navy.
01:18The Navy.
01:19The Navy.
01:20The Navy.
01:21The Navy.
01:22Number five has just returned from a visit to the medic.
01:25So, he's still in my sleep side.
01:27He feels like he's going to wake.
01:29And the directing staff are being briefed.
01:31So, he's...
01:32See, he's got my back pain.
01:34He shouldn't have pain.
01:35All sorts of things.
01:36He wants his way out.
01:38He's looking for an excuse.
01:40I mean, I don't want to jinx anything, but...
01:45It's probably safe to say we can cuddle into our bunks and go to sleep at this point.
01:50Recruits!
01:51Get on parade!
01:53Let's go!
01:54Let's go!
01:55Parade, parade.
01:56On parade!
01:57All of you, now!
01:58Let's go!
01:59Everybody!
02:00I'm going!
02:01I'm going!
02:02We gotta go!
02:03We gotta go!
02:04Let's go!
02:05Do not move!
02:07Someone here has made more excuses for their pitiful performance.
02:19This is day one!
02:22We don't want excuses.
02:24We want results.
02:27100% full commitment.
02:30Someone is going home.
02:37Number five.
02:38Step forward.
02:39Give me your arm, Ben.
02:56Stay there at the position of attention.
03:00All of you.
03:01Go!
03:02Number five.
03:03You failed this course.
03:04Then you failed yourself.
03:05Go!
03:06Just one day into selection, actor Stephen Baldwin is the first recruit to leave the course.
03:27Now, 15 recruits remain.
03:34Poor Stephen.
03:39Not to be insensitive, but is there anything that anyone needs that we can take off of him?
03:43Gloves, hats, socks potentially?
03:46Yeah.
03:47We should just do it.
03:48Ask questions later.
03:49We gotta survive.
03:50Oh, thank goodness.
03:54Who the f*** kept wrestling around last night in their sleeping bag?
04:16Did you hear it?
04:17Yes.
04:18They're f***ing stupid.
04:20Number 16.
04:27Let everyone know that breakfast is served.
04:30Breakfast is served!
04:33Breakfast is served!
04:38Breakfast is served!
04:41It's morning on camp.
04:43How long have you and your fiancé been together?
04:45Like, 11 years.
04:46And the recruits are getting to know each other.
04:49Me and my ex.
04:50Five years.
04:51Wait, who's your ex?
04:52Okay.
04:53Oh, yeah.
04:54He's dating Taylor Swift.
04:55Oh, funny.
04:56Yeah.
04:57Okay.
04:58Going through a public breakup, just to be frank, it's been overwhelming.
05:02I've never experienced anything like it.
05:04I just get a lot of s***, like, because he's dating such a mega superstar.
05:08Being reduced to a headline, to something so small as someone's ex-girlfriend.
05:14I feel like if I complete this, it'll be a massive impact for myself.
05:19I really, like, like her.
05:21I think she's very talented.
05:23Am I doing enough?
05:25Am I enough?
05:26Am I enough?
05:30Recruits!
05:31Full kid!
05:32Let's go!
05:33To survive this course, these celebrities are gonna need camaraderie.
05:38Here we go, here we go, here we go, here we go, here we go, here we go.
05:41But individually, they're gonna need resilience.
05:43Water field to the brim.
05:44To the brim!
05:45I can't believe you have to carry this s*** everywhere.
05:48They're gonna need to get comfortable very quickly with being uncomfortable.
06:01I honestly feel like people who commit crimes, have them come do this and experience this.
06:05The recruits are being taken to a remote location.
06:13Everybody out!
06:15To face the first exercise of the day.
06:18Come on, move!
06:20Where am I waiting?
06:23This way, this way!
06:28Right, special forces, we always plan for the worst situation.
06:34And your worst situation could ever be behind the enemy lines, and you are compromised.
06:40You've been seen by the enemy, and they're coming after you.
06:44What are we gonna do?
06:46An immediate action.
06:49How do we escape, survive, and fight again?
06:54Just watch.
07:01Oh, my God.
07:02That's really high.
07:03Look how high that is.
07:08Something we're responsible in the special forces for is sabotage.
07:11That means we have to get ourselves onto large structures so we can destroy them.
07:17That is 130 feet.
07:24But it also means that we need to get off them if we're compromised.
07:30There's moments in the special forces where all you need is guts.
07:35It's about taking that leap of faith into the abyss.
07:42Oh!
07:43As soon as you've leapt, the task isn't over.
07:48You're then swinging backwards and forwards.
07:49You deploy the rope bag.
07:53And then, repel silently to the ground.
07:54You have to move quickly.
07:55If you mess that up, you are delaying that escape.
07:56If you mess that up, you are delaying that escape.
07:57If it does go wrong, you're going to go wrong.
07:58If it does go wrong, you're going to move quickly.
07:59If you mess that up, you are delaying that escape.
08:03If it does go wrong, you're going to put your faces right into one of them stanchions.
08:15That's your modeling career over.
08:18If it does go wrong, you're going to put your faces right into one of them stanchions.
08:24That's your f***ing modeling career over.
08:29You have to move quickly, and you're going to move quickly.
08:31That's your modeling career over.
08:35Does everybody understand what I'm saying?
08:36Yes, Chef.
08:38What we're going to do now, number four,
08:41you're going to go up that grassy verge to where you see DSQ.
08:44Yes, Chef.
08:44Disappear.
08:47Right, you people, let's go.
08:50Failing's not an option, all right?
08:52Commit to it, whatever we do.
08:54You got me?
08:55Look at me. Look at me.
08:57One straight line.
09:01I'm scared of that.
09:04Oh, I'm scared of that.
09:06The scale of the task ahead
09:08is already causing panic amongst some of the recruits.
09:14It's freaking hard.
09:15Just try to take deep breaths.
09:18That's like a 12-story building.
09:20It's pretty small, dude.
09:21That's high, dude.
09:22It's wild, yeah.
09:25Number four!
09:29I worked out two times a day,
09:31every single day for the last two months leading up to this.
09:33Like, I am rock-solid muscle right now.
09:36How are you with heights?
09:38I'm not sure.
09:39I feel like I've avoided things
09:42that would cause risk for much of my adult life.
09:45Right.
09:46Climb over the railings.
09:47As I've gotten older,
09:53I get more scared about everything.
09:56My kids, if they're walking on a banister or railing,
09:58I'm like, oh, I just need to be careful.
10:00And I'm like that with myself now, too.
10:03Have a look.
10:04Have a look at the height.
10:07Embrace it.
10:07I want to get back to the girl that was fearless.
10:14That's who I want to find again.
10:19Go on.
10:20I can go now?
10:21You can go whenever you want.
10:23Okay.
10:32Go on.
10:35Okay.
10:36Let's go, number four.
10:39Let's go!
10:39Let's go!
10:39Go on.
11:04Go on.
11:09Oh, my gosh.
11:13Number four.
11:15Influencer and former bachelorette Ali Mano
11:18has just leapt from the top of a 130-foot viaduct.
11:24Calm down!
11:25Now battling with the force of the swing,
11:28she must quickly deploy the rope bag
11:30and repel silently to the ground.
11:33Twisted!
11:36Stop flapping.
11:37Get your hand away from that system.
11:42Get your hand away from that lever.
11:45Billy Foxy, she didn't get that lever right,
11:48fapping around with it.
11:50Fail!
11:53Right, that was a fail.
11:55Yes, sir.
11:56Why was that a fail?
12:00My clip right here I couldn't get off.
12:03You were all over the place.
12:04Yes, sir.
12:04Okay.
12:05Consequently, the mission goes to wrath.
12:07Yes, you fail.
12:08Yes, sir.
12:13What happened?
12:14It was all backwards,
12:15and my finger wasn't in there,
12:16so then this finger...
12:18Ooh, I can't straighten this finger.
12:21You can't bend it?
12:22Actually, no.
12:23I just don't want to go home.
12:26You're not going to go home unless you want to go home.
12:28I mean, Stephen went home yesterday.
12:34You're not going home.
12:34I'm not going home.
12:36I'm just so disappointed.
12:38I know.
12:38I should be doing better than this.
12:40I'm not going to go home.
12:41I'm not going home.
12:42I'm not going home.
12:42I'm not going home.
12:43I'm not going home.
12:44I'm not going home.
12:45I'm not going home.
12:46I'm not going home.
12:48I'm not going home.
12:49I'm not going home.
12:50Number nine!
12:53Was that you?
12:54Shut up!
12:55Climb the wall and go!
12:57Yes, sir.
13:01People would describe me as a little bit arrogant.
13:04I've definitely earned the name Showtime.
13:06I love entertaining people.
13:08I love showboating when I scored a touchdown.
13:12You're going to stand this side of the wall.
13:16So if body's going to be on this side, is that what you're saying?
13:19No.
13:19I don't know what will happen then.
13:20Everything's on that side.
13:22Oh, okay.
13:23Now, my career, that's over.
13:25Like, shimmy across.
13:27I don't have that escape the way I used to.
13:31And so, it's something I struggle with,
13:33it's finding that new purpose.
13:36In your own time, go on.
13:47Oh, f***.
13:56Number nine has successfully executed the jump.
14:00F***.
14:01Okay.
14:02Having dropped the rope bag,
14:04he must now make a stealthy descent to the ground.
14:14What the f*** is going on here?
14:17Hey!
14:17What are you doing?
14:19That looked really bad.
14:22Come here.
14:23Come here.
14:26What were you doing as you dropped down?
14:28Oh, the gun signals?
14:31What are you firing at?
14:32The enemy's on the bridge.
14:33That's why you've just jumped off it.
14:34You are now trying to be covert.
14:36That little stupid moment is what costs lives.
14:39You've failed miserably.
14:45Disappear.
14:51Special Forces selection, it's not a game.
14:54I was picturing myself a real freaking war.
14:57Lord, don't do that again.
14:59We take it very seriously.
15:01And these recruits had better do the same.
15:04Otherwise, they will be gone.
15:05Do you push off or do you?
15:14Let's go straight up.
15:18After two failed attempts,
15:2113 recruits must now face the terrifying drop.
15:27Scared of heights?
15:28F***ing terrified as hell.
15:29All right, get over.
15:31Oh, my God.
15:35Coming here, I really want to learn from the DS
15:38how to be stronger.
15:40They're not actors.
15:42This is what they do.
15:44This is real.
15:47Don't look up, down left or right.
15:49Look straight ahead.
15:53This task is all about composure.
15:57Go!
15:57As soon as the line catches you,
16:09it's going to be violent.
16:11Do not make any noise.
16:15Fail!
16:17My stupid f***ing mouth.
16:22Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
16:27Oh, f***ing mouth.
16:29Were you told to shout, oh, f***ing mouth?
16:31No, Steph.
16:31So that's a fail.
16:38He looked up when he jumped.
16:41Fail!
16:45In the Special Forces,
16:47we are looking for the person
16:49that can overcome fear.
16:50Just get on with what you're told to do.
16:58Go on.
16:59Without any fanfare.
17:03Oh, wow.
17:07I really do miss playing football.
17:09There's nothing in life right now
17:10that gives you that zine.
17:12No question, Steph.
17:13No, no, no, no questions.
17:15Big, bold step.
17:17Come on.
17:22Oh.
17:26There's some swing on that bad boy.
17:30That's a pass!
17:31With number 16, Cam Newton's success,
17:36half of the recruits
17:37have now passed the exercise.
17:40Oh!
17:44Do you need a medic?
17:45Do you need a medic?
17:46No.
17:47You good?
17:48What happened then?
17:49Why did you do that?
17:50I was trying to give him a handshake.
17:53We're just about to go into a firefight
17:54and we've lost a man.
17:57We don't showboat.
17:59We don't around.
18:00Do you understand me?
18:01Yes, Steph.
18:02You will pay for that.
18:07Number eight.
18:08Oh, God.
18:14I'm a very confident person,
18:16but dealing with trolls
18:17or just hate online,
18:18I constantly feel like
18:20I'm in a state of vulnerability.
18:22Honestly, get a grip.
18:24Get a grip.
18:27I would love to be in a headspace
18:29where I'm just not affected at all.
18:34Climb over the railings.
18:37Climb over the railings.
18:42I'm doing this course
18:43because I want to remind myself
18:45that I'm capable of doing hard things.
18:50Oh, my God.
18:51Oh, my God.
18:56And just let go.
19:00You've got to let go,
19:01otherwise you're going nowhere.
19:03You've got to get on with it.
19:05We haven't got all day.
19:08Okay.
19:10You can always take that armband off.
19:13Okay.
19:15Breathe.
19:15Go!
19:16Go!
19:40That's a pass!
19:42Nice work.
19:44You should be proud of your stuff, though.
19:47I'm sorry.
19:50I apologize.
19:51I'm sorry for it.
19:52I was scared.
19:53Like, really scared.
19:54Good job, girl.
19:55But you did it, though.
19:57Gangster.
20:08In your ears back.
20:11There were six failures.
20:13This is not acceptable.
20:15It's down to messing around, number 16,
20:18and pretending to fire a gun, number 9.
20:22The lack of discipline shown on the morning task
20:25has angered the DS.
20:27The rest of you take your burgers for the DS there.
20:30You're not respecting the course?
20:32This is what happens.
20:33As a punishment for bad behavior,
20:36recruits will now run back with wet, heavy kit.
20:40Oh, that sucks so much.
20:43Go follow the route down and go get your burgers
20:45through the river.
20:46Go.
20:48Hurry up!
20:49Get in the river now!
20:50Go down and get it!
20:52It's slippery.
20:53Watch out.
20:54Take your time.
20:55Never mind take your time.
20:56We haven't got time.
20:58Just grab any burger and get out!
21:0115, move.
21:02Get up, 15!
21:03Hurry up, 15, pal!
21:04I'm gonna watch your guard gas!
21:06Move it!
21:08Go, go, go, go, go!
21:11The next task, you're gonna pay for all of this!
21:16You all right?
21:17Exhausted.
21:18You feel it, bro?
21:19I'm physically fine.
21:20My soul is hurt.
21:21I got you.
21:22You got me.
21:23We all have each other.
21:24For real.
21:25Let's go.
21:26Hurry up!
21:27Where are you going?
21:28Get in the water.
21:29We need to be exhausted.
21:30I'm exhausted.
21:31Oh, man.
21:33You feel it, bro?
21:34I'm physically fine.
21:35My soul is hurt.
21:37I got you.
21:46You got me.
21:47We all have each other.
21:48For real.
21:49Let's go!
21:52Hurry up!
21:53Damn.
21:59That was discouraging as hell.
22:02I'm not gonna get in my head about it.
22:06Don't overthink it.
22:08I'm emotionally drained.
22:15This is not a joke at all.
22:16Totally.
22:17Like, I'm here because I admire our military and special forces.
22:21Totally.
22:22I just communicate it by being super lighthearted.
22:25And it comes off as, like, I'm arrogant and undisciplined.
22:31But a part of it's, like, being a light to you guys.
22:34We've got some great memories upstairs, and now, I think, listen to them,
22:37and then, like, we don't want you gone either.
22:40I'm gonna try to limit my goofball-ness to in here.
22:44The strongest for me were 16 and number nine.
22:53The DS have gathered to discuss the recruit's performance.
22:58However, they were mucking about on the task and not taking it seriously.
23:02It's the lack of maturity.
23:04It's the default of these high-end athletes playing to the crowd.
23:08And they've never considered that that's actually detrimental.
23:11Yeah.
23:12The surprise in it all, number eight.
23:15She physically looks like one of the strongest women here.
23:18But we definitely saw a lot of self-doubt.
23:21You can see it in her eyes.
23:23A bit panicky, if I'm honest.
23:25You gotta be able to control yourself, control your emotions.
23:28I think it's probably worth pulling number eight into the mirror room.
23:32Yeah.
23:33I agree.
23:34Yep.
23:37Number eight!
23:38Let's go.
23:45So her ex-boyfriend is Travis Kelsey.
23:47He's like a two, three-time Super Bowl champion, bro.
23:49He's big time.
23:50He's the dude that goes out of Taylor Swift.
23:52That's him.
23:54So there's no way number eight watched the Super Bowl?
23:56Probably not.
23:57Probably not.
23:59After her display of nerves in the morning task.
24:03Right this way.
24:05The DS pull in number eight, Kayla Nicole, for tactical questioning.
24:29Come on up.
24:50How you doing?
24:52I do feel a little low, depleted a little bit.
24:56What's bothering you so much right now?
24:59Mm-hmm.
25:05Even, like, coming to this experience, it was like I just kept telling myself, like, I don't want to embarrass myself.
25:12And there's a part of me that wants to prove that, like, I am capable of doing hard and challenging things.
25:18Like, I wanted to prove that to other people in all honesty, but really prove it to myself, though, because I feel like I need that.
25:25It's starting to get to you.
25:29So what we're interested in is when the internet, social media becomes the battlefield.
25:42Yes.
25:43So...
25:44Yeah, it's pretty constant.
25:59Exhausting.
26:00It still happens.
26:01Constantly.
26:02It doesn't matter.
26:03I could post about the sky being blue and people will have a response about an ex and their new situation.
26:16It's inadvertently affected me to the point where it makes me, um...
26:25Question just, like, my overall value as a person, as a...
26:30I'm sorry.
26:31Why is it making you question your value?
26:36Um, I think it's just the comparison.
26:40And it's some...
26:42It's just, like, on loop.
26:44I'm sorry.
26:48I think I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with it.
26:51There's a lot of noise out there.
27:01What we're teaching you here is to listen to the 5% of useful information
27:10and then shut out the 95% of the noise.
27:14Just stay in the fight.
27:18Stay in the game.
27:19Don't lose focus.
27:20Don't let your emotions dictate your actions.
27:26Yes, sir.
27:29You're here for a reason.
27:30Finish it up.
27:31Yes, sir.
27:35Guard!
27:44I'm proud of the mental fortitude that it's taken for me to get here.
27:52But I want to be able to control my emotions.
27:57All right, H. Let's go.
28:01I'm definitely gonna have to tap into that to make it to the end of this, for sure.
28:11I didn't know that that was her ex.
28:13Is he a football player?
28:14Yeah, arguably the greatest of all time.
28:16Oh, wow.
28:17To play tight end.
28:19Okay, we ain't finna pump that up right now, though.
28:21Okay, we just gonna say he good.
28:26How was the interview?
28:27Did you cry?
28:28Of course I cried!
28:30They pulled up an article about my ex.
28:32No.
28:33I didn't think they were gonna do that.
28:34When they opened the computer and it was that, I was like...
28:36Oh, they pulled out a computer?
28:38Yes.
28:40And just, like, they're just really good at, like,
28:42putting the pieces together.
28:45So just ultimately, like, the feeling of me feeling like I need to prove myself to people.
28:48Well, good.
28:49We'll move forward from that .
28:51Yeah.
28:52Absolutely.
28:54Absolutely.
28:55Let's go.
28:56Let's go.
28:57Don't stop.
28:58First three, lead vehicle.
28:59If we're going in the water, I can't do it.
29:02Let's go!
29:03Right on my ass now!
29:04Let's go three!
29:05Tighten it up!
29:06What?
29:07I can't...
29:08I can't even walk.
29:09Come on, you got to.
29:10No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
29:11I know.
29:12Put the ass down here!
29:13Let's go!
29:14Let's go three!
29:15Tighten it up!
29:16What?
29:17I can't...
29:18I can't even walk.
29:19Come on, you got to.
29:20No, no, no, no, no, no.
29:21I know.
29:22Put the ass down here!
29:23Let's go!
29:24Recruits have been brought to the rugged coast of North Wales for a brutal test of resilience.
29:44Make no mistake.
29:46This will suck.
29:47You will feel pain.
29:49You won't feel like you can breathe.
29:51This is gonna be a test of your character.
29:54We wanna know who you are.
29:56We're gonna give you a chance to show us that.
29:59Turn around.
30:02Lock arms.
30:07Forward march!
30:08DSQ will now instruct recruits in a punishing Navy SEAL exercise known as surf immersion.
30:17Stop!
30:19Take seats!
30:21Do not break my chain.
30:26You are only as strong as your weakest link.
30:30Heads back.
30:32Move!
30:34All of you.
30:35All the way in.
30:37Surf immersion punishes the body in ice cold temperatures.
30:41Sit up!
30:42Sit up!
30:44When I say back, you're gonna rock backwards until your feet touch the surf, and you will rock back forward in your seating position.
30:52Do you understand?
30:53You feel like you're drowning.
30:54Back!
30:55Back!
30:56Back!
31:05Back!
31:06After just ten minutes of the grueling task...
31:07Get back down with the rest of you.
31:08Cool.
31:09Number three, actress Denise Richards breaks the chain.
31:10What are you doing, number three?
31:11I can't move.
31:12What's wrong?
31:13I hurt my back.
31:14I hurt my back.
31:15Between the bungee off the bridge and the weight of the backpack, I have a lower back problem.
31:16I hurt my back.
31:17I hurt my back.
31:18Are you in that much pain?
31:19Yes.
31:20I can barely walk.
31:21I hurt my back.
31:22I hurt my back.
31:23I hurt my back.
31:24Between the bungee off the bridge and the weight of the backpack, I have a lower back problem.
31:32Are you in that much pain?
31:33Yes.
31:34I can barely walk.
31:35So what do you want to do?
31:36Sit out and, like, rest it?
31:37No.
31:38There is no sit out and chill and wait.
31:39So you've got to make a decision.
31:40All right.
31:41Well, I don't know what to do.
31:42I have to get back in here or you're out.
31:43I don't want to be here, but I can't.
31:44You can't.
31:45I can't.
31:46I can't handle it.
31:47You can't.
31:48I can't handle it.
31:49What?
31:50What?
31:51What?
31:52What?
31:53What?
31:54What?
31:55What?
31:56What?
31:57What?
31:58What?
31:59What?
32:00What?
32:01What?
32:02What?
32:03What?
32:04It's a little bit of a lower back problem.
32:07Are you in that much pain?
32:08Yes.
32:09I can barely walk.
32:10So what do you want to do?
32:11Sit out and rest it?
32:12The only way you're off this course, if out there was wrong.
32:17Say the words. You know what the words you gotta do.
32:19I'm hurting.
32:20You're gonna be W.
32:21That's the only option you got.
32:25I really want to have the entire experience.
32:30But the older I get, I don't know if I'm physically capable of doing it.
32:35So what do you want to do?
32:42Oh, for f***ing sake.
32:45Go over there to the far rocks.
32:47Actress Denise Richards becomes the second recruit to leave the course.
32:53People think they come out here and then they're gonna get special treatment.
32:56It ain't gonna happen.
33:00She's gone.
33:04If you want to go home, all you gotta do is give me that number.
33:07Back!
33:12The exercise could be about to claim its next recruit.
33:27Seven, get up.
33:29Go to the DS.
33:30Get over there and go to the DS.
33:32Follow him over there.
33:33Go.
33:35Why can't you breathe?
33:38Calm down.
33:38Just breathe.
33:40Growing up in the sport of gymnastics, it was really intense.
33:46The main motivating force was fear.
33:51We weren't allowed to show emotion.
33:53And I think a lot of us post-gymnastics have realized that it has long-lasting impacts on us as people.
34:01Listen, number seven, you've got to f***ing get a grip.
34:04I don't think I can do it.
34:11Stop feeling sorry for yourself.
34:14Get back in there.
34:15Get on with it.
34:16Take it with a step.
34:17The pain of it.
34:18The discomfort of it.
34:19It's tough.
34:23Feet!
34:25Quickly!
34:25Quickly!
34:26That was pathetic.
34:29All right, listen up.
34:31This is what we'll do.
34:33You're going to duck walk from me to DS Billy.
34:36Bust them, go!
34:36The DS will now enforce an endurance drill.
34:40Waddle, like a dog.
34:41Waddle!
34:42To drive the recruits to breaking point.
34:46Hands and feet, ass up.
34:48That's it.
34:50If you don't do this s*** correctly, I'm going to take your armband out before you get to the end.
34:53Yes, sir.
34:53Every one of you grab a sandbag now.
34:57Get it up high.
34:58Above your head.
34:59It's a f***ing hot.
35:01Just do it.
35:02Get it up.
35:04No one's moving until you've got it above your head.
35:05Really?
35:06Yes, you can.
35:07Do it.
35:09Shut up.
35:11Put your sandbag down.
35:13Hurry up.
35:14Sprint.
35:15All the way to your burgers.
35:16Go!
35:17Sprint up the hill.
35:18Sprint.
35:19Move out to my side.
35:21Go!
35:21Wet top off.
35:23Fleece on.
35:23After two hours of the relentless drill.
35:28Ten seconds.
35:29That was terrible.
35:30Recruits are dismissed to the vehicles.
35:33Get off my beach.
35:33Go!
35:36You want to go home, 13?
35:38I don't.
35:39Yeah, you do.
35:39I don't.
35:40Yeah, you do.
35:40No one's feeling sorry for you.
35:42No one's feeling sorry for you.
35:43I know, but he shouldn't.
35:43Move!
35:44Hurry up!
35:45The devil on my shoulder is going, you can't do this.
35:49Why are you even trying?
35:50Go back home.
35:51You're not supposed to be here.
35:53I'm not ready to go home.
35:54Yeah, you are.
35:55And I'm just trying to believe in the angel that's telling me, you can do it.
36:00Hurry up!
36:02Everyone's waiting for you.
36:03I'm f***ing late.
36:06I really can't.
36:07No, hold on.
36:09I got it.
36:09I got it.
36:10I got it.
36:10I got it.
36:10Oh my gosh, y'all.
36:23That broke me a little bit.
36:24Sit on me.
36:25Sit on me, baby.
36:26It's OK.
36:27Shh.
36:28Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh.
36:31I think they tried to kill us.
36:35Hurry up!
36:36Everybody out!
36:38Sort it out, seven.
36:40Oh.
36:41Hold it tight.
36:42Here, let me have this.
36:43No.
36:44Run in there, 15.
36:45Hold your body.
36:46The intensity of the military regime is beginning to take its toll.
36:55And for some recruits, it's an uphill battle.
36:58Hey, baby.
36:59Why don't I get you to sit right next to something?
37:06I'm going to medic.
37:07How's she?
37:08How are you?
37:09Oh, God.
37:10I think I have hypothermia.
37:11Woo!
37:12All right.
37:13Well, I got three.
37:14Hanging it up.
37:15There's something going on with seven.
37:16The anxiety attack, that wasn't because of the physical exertion.
37:18There's something going on.
37:19Yep.
37:20I had to bring her in.
37:21Number seven.
37:22Over here.
37:23Stand with your feet.
37:24Either side.
37:25Put your arms either side.
37:26Put your arms either side.
37:27That's right.
37:28That's right.
37:29All right.
37:30I got three.
37:31Hanging it up.
37:32All right.
37:33Well, I got three.
37:34Hanging it up.
37:35There's something going on with seven.
37:36The anxiety attack, that wasn't because of the physical exertion.
37:41There's something going on.
37:42Yep.
37:43I had to bring her in.
37:44Number seven.
37:45Over here.
37:46Stand with your feet.
37:47Either side.
37:48Put your arms either side.
37:49That's right.
37:50With concerns about Jordan Weber, the DS bring the Olympic gymnast in for tactical questioning.
38:14Today, you were in the water. You ended up having what looked like a bit of an anxiety attack. What was going on?
38:31Just not super comfortable in the water, in general. Just start panicking and then I can't stop.
38:39Where does that stem from?
38:42I don't really know.
38:45I didn't know I was that scared of water.
38:47You've never suffered from anxiety before.
38:51Um, never panic like that, but just, I don't know. I don't know what to say.
39:04What's your motivation for being here?
39:07Um, to challenge myself in a new way that I haven't really been able to challenge myself since my gymnastics career ended.
39:14Um.
39:15When did you start competing?
39:17Started gymnastics at age of four and retired at 18.
39:22Um.
39:23Why such an early retirement?
39:25There was stuff that was going on behind the scenes that just made it hard to continue and compete.
39:32And what was that?
39:35Um.
39:36I was a victim of one of the most prolific, um, sexual abuse cases in the history of sport.
39:49Um.
39:50Um.
39:51It was our, our doctor was abusive and, um, he went to jail.
39:59Um.
40:00Um.
40:01Um.
40:02Um.
40:03Um.
40:04Okay.
40:05So, your episode, earlier on, deep down, do you think that you've got unfinished business within yourself?
40:13Yeah.
40:14Ultimately, one person that can get you to calm down and slow down, and it's you.
40:25Okay.
40:26Otherwise, the course will leave you behind, and then you will have unfinished business.
40:30Yeah.
40:31Don't give up.
40:33Guard!
40:35Guard!
40:48I look back on myself as a child during that time, and go, wow, she really, she was resilient.
40:56Every day you stay here, you will build a better version of yourself.
41:00Okay?
41:01Stop.
41:02Okay.
41:03Obviously, there were highs.
41:04There were also some very low lows.
41:07My parents always told me that, um, I became an adult at a young age.
41:12And I still feel that way.
41:15You all right?
41:16Yeah.
41:17I'm fine.
41:18For the remaining recruits, it's been a punishing day.
41:29That's worse.
41:31I'm fine.
41:32I'm fine.
41:33I'm fine.
41:34I'm fine.
41:35I'm fine.
41:36I'm fine.
41:37I'm fine.
41:38This course empowers the strong recruits.
41:44They actually embrace the pain, and they thrive.
41:48For the other recruits, it crushes them.
41:53If they cannot get over it, they will not survive.
41:56I'll sit there.
41:57Right.
41:58You need to get that x-rayed, which means you're now going to get medically withdrawed off the court.
42:12Oh, no, please, no.
42:13I know.
42:14I was here to make it to the end.
42:16I know you were.
42:18Give me your armband.
42:20Give me your armband.
42:21Oh.
42:22This is unreal.
42:23Oh.
42:24What the ?
42:25Next time.
42:26Get ready for the shark.
42:27You have to have mental strength.
42:28Go.
42:29Because fear will lead to panic.
42:30Oh, don't.
42:31Panic in big time.
42:32What are you going to do?
42:33This is me on my limit.
42:34I can't do it.
42:35Take a breath.
42:36Get out.
42:37We don't give up.
42:38We don't surrender.
42:39We fight.
42:40Hit him like you hate him.
42:41You have to find the will to survive.
42:47Oh.
42:48Oh.
42:49Oh.
42:50Oh.
42:51Oh.
42:52Oh.

43:06Oh.
43:07Oh.
43:08Oh.
43:09Oh.
43:10Oh.
