00:20fonseca brian what's going on there big game last night uh or the night before as a matter
00:26of fact from the time we're recording this a lot to talk about the knicks look pretty good and
00:30they're undefeated at home so uh we're getting less antsy comments lately i don't know about that less
00:35antsy comments are still gonna come in some form they're they're temporarily yeah for now yeah
00:42we'll say yeah and they play they play they play they play the nets next they'll get antsy if they
00:47lose that game oh yeah that that would be cause for concern but we always try to come up with some
00:52fun things here and our amazing technical director nicolai jackson he had a good idea for us to talk
00:58about some topics this week that i thought was really good for us to do and you know we've looked
01:03at different things around the knicks we've dug into film we've had all these different things
01:08but we haven't talked about certain things we're seeing through the season and what is the odds or
01:13percent chance of that actually happening so there's some early season things that we've seen that we
01:19think are interesting i think you know we find interesting uh the fans will find interesting
01:26for sure so we're going to try to talk about them we've got five different topics that we have
01:32talked about i have not given this too too much deep thought so i wanted to stay in the moment with
01:36this i didn't want to overanalyze anything here i really tried to stay in the moment i don't know if
01:40brian did but i'm trying to stay in the moment with it mostly my thoughts on some of this yeah so
01:45we'll see but this is good and shout out again to our technical director nicolai jackson uh who had
01:50this really good idea for us to do with this show i thought it was fun i think we'll bring it back
01:53with some other stuff we can do it later in the season it's got a lot of legs to this that we can
01:57do so the first thing we're going to talk about and look i feel like so much of the season we're
02:03going to be talking about the offense right for the knicks and obviously the head of the snake and
02:07the offense is the captain jalen brunson jalen brunson guys he's currently shooting 33.3 percent from
02:13three that would be the worst of his career now we just talked about panicking and some of y'all
02:18might actually panic when you hear that number but the big question here is what are the odds
02:26what percent chance do you think that he stays below his career worst which is 34.8 percent that's from
02:35his rookie year so what are the odds that he shoots worse than that this year which he is doing right now
02:41and i think we'll get into this brian there should be some context around this too because he is
02:46getting up more threes than he ever has before and some people like that but for you what are the odds
02:51what are the odds for you that you're going with that he shoots worse than he did from three in his
02:56rookie year worse than his rookie year i'm i'm gonna say like 30 percent i don't think wow even going
03:04that high yeah i mean yeah just because the volume is it's career high level so the three point attempt
03:11rate right now is 36 and that is by far the highest three point attempt rate he's had in his career
03:20um 30 is still 30 is 30 like let's be serious about this but at the same time because of the volume
03:27uh there is a world where yeah maybe he's at 33 all year maybe it drops to 32 whatever like guys
03:34have bad years sometimes you just can't put it together but i don't think it's going to be the
03:38case because this is the other 70 now ultimately he's taking pretty good three point shots for the
03:43most part a lot of pull-up threes i feel like are just off and you know top of the key above the
03:50break threes threes that he will typically make threes that will probably will fall because a lot of
03:55these are open shots i feel like he's missing i don't know if he's going to be 40 45 or you know
04:00that's staggeringly high but i do expect him to get back into like the high 30s even with this
04:05three-point attempt rate yes i mean like his this is according to cleaning the glass his three-point
04:10percentage is in the 42nd percentile right now yeah at 33.3 percent he's i understand he's taking more
04:18threes yeah than he ever has before so look i won't i'm not calling all of you out there but you know
04:25lovingly the nerds y'all love the volume right and i think it was to be expected in mike brown's
04:33offense say he's going to have some more volume no doubt about that right so sometimes you get a
04:38little bit of droppage in percentage here's the thing i just think jalen brunson's good enough and
04:42as he gets comfortable shooting more catch and shoot threes than he's ever had before because it's
04:47going to be an adjustment period to that we've been talking about this for the team it's going to be
04:50an adjustment period for players and he's still dribbling into a bunch of them yeah so i i'm just
04:55banking on his talent his work ethic in figuring some of this stuff out and then eventually he's
05:01going to get back up to 35 so i'm going with the percentage a little bit lower than you i'm going to
05:05cut what you had in half i'm going 15 chance that he shoots worse than 34.8 percent that he did in
05:13his rookie season i think this upticks i think jalen brunson is going to have this early we got
05:17remember we're talking about this after eight games he could go seven to ten in the next two
05:23games right and he's right back above that right yeah so the swing could be crazy now he has to do
05:29this over the course of a season and that's what we that's why we're talking about this in this
05:32grand level but i'm banking on his work ethic and just getting more comfortable on the offense and i
05:39think we're already starting to see that yeah so you had 30 i'm going a little lower just because
05:43jalen brunson jalen brunson i'm not betting against jalen brunson that's all i'm saying
05:48that's that's that's pretty much where i where i am in that so okay brian's got 30 chance for that
05:53i've got 15 for that that's topic number one topic number two talk about a guy that y'all love to talk
05:59about last year and y'all have nothing bad to say about him this year in fact y'all aren't even
06:03talking about the picks we haven't heard have you heard anybody mention the picks from michael bridges
06:08after the wizards game yes actually i got a text from a very good friend of both of ours who said
06:14they need to trade with kill bridges you have to tell me who that person was after you you love
06:20this person i love him i don't love that comment her oh man oh well oh i know who it is i thought
06:30about it i was like okay i know who it is i know who i know who it is because i talked with this
06:34person before the season yeah and she was on that program you know who you are uh let's talk
06:42about michael bridges what's the percent chance folks and we also want to recommend everybody
06:47watching this let us know what you think about this stuff in the comment what's your percentage
06:50what's your odds at what's the percent chance that this is michael bridges career best three-point
06:56shooting season now michael bridges back in the 2020 2021 season he shot 42 and a half percent
07:05from downtown this year and i'm not saying this is sustainable he's shooting 46 and a half percent
07:14from downtown but our friend wants to trade him
07:16what's the odds that he shoots better than the 42 and a half that would be a career best
07:24what are the chances of that happening brian his three-point attempt rate is 48 which is
07:31ridiculously high for him uh for perspective his career three-point attempt rate is 42 or a shade
07:38underneath that and that includes this year which tells you it was below that before the season
07:42started so the percentage chance he's above his career high 42.5 i'm going to say it has to be a
07:52little under 50 50 42 and a half is just a high high mark especially for someone who's not typically
07:58there like this isn't kyle corver you know somebody like that who kind of lives in that area so i'm
08:05going to say i'm probably going to say 25 like we'll give it a quarter of the way there um i do feel
08:11like if you bet on it you know we talked about with jalen brunson by the way if he's seven for ten the
08:16percentage could shoot up mikhail bridges has like an oh for four and then a one for six this drops
08:22this drops significantly that's a 10 swing right or 10 performance across the course of two games
08:29and that'll swing your percentage downward so i'm gonna say 25 just because it's a very high number
08:33i think it's a there's a much better uh percentage chance though that he's at 40 or above that and i
08:41think even if he's at 38 plus like you'll take that but if he's a 40 three-point shooter which by the
08:46way would be the second highest percentage of his career it would that's something that would still
08:49be really really good and i put that probably closer to 50 50 at this point so what i find
08:53interesting is that you know you look at mikhail bridges career and i'm looking numbers here on
08:57cleaning the glass which we love here but remember that takes out numbers in garbage time so that was
09:04year three for mikhail bridges when he shot 42 point 40 over 42 percent from the field right
09:09that was fantastic he had a jump from 36 that year to 42 what we're kind of asking him to do this year
09:19if we're going to be real about it right is take a jump last year which was his lowest shooting
09:25percentage from three since that 2020 21 season when he shot 42 he only shot 36 and a half last year
09:32right now you're asking him to take a jump almost as big as he had from 1920 to 2021
09:40here's what you're banking on to me if you believe that the odds are high in this and i'm kind of with
09:46you i don't believe the odds are high in this right you're banking on the fact that he's that much more
09:51comfortable in the system you're also banking on the fact that the above the break threes which he's
09:56been hitting he can still hit that at a high rate which has been a huge difference for him
10:00this season i just think that's too large of a jump to get to above 42 and a half percent i'm with
10:08you and thinking that he shoots a little bit around 40 i think he's gonna have a really good year
10:12i can even see him shooting 41 42 and a half just a little bit too high for me so i'm i'm putting the
10:19odds here in one out of five 20 for me 20 odds that mikhail bridges does this again i think if you're
10:26talking about over 40 you said 50 i might be willing to even go 55 or 60 because i just think
10:32he looks comfortable i think this offense is tailor-made for him and i do see there's an uptick
10:36i just think asking for a almost seven percentage point swing is a lot in a year to that then that be
10:44your career year mikhail bridges has shot at least 37 from three since that 2020-21 season except for
10:53last year when he was just over 36 so last year was the outlier statistically statistically as
10:59allies so you're saying if he comes back to what he's kind of been average he's been 37 and a half
11:0338 and a half percent yeah can he get back there but can he be better in a better offense it suits
11:08him yeah so could i see a two percentage point uptick yeah sure he's getting open he's getting
11:13open looks it's a lot of threes again like to maintain that high percentage but again 38 and up
11:18is good that's really good uh and in today's nba obviously 40 and up is still really really good so
11:24if he's at least 38 to 40 that's great but the question is 42 and a half and you know it that's
11:30that's that's that's elite level and he hasn't really been that over the course of his career now
11:35hey here's the thing if he hits the 42 and a half our friend out there you can't be saying that you want
11:41to trade him you can't do that no no no no i wonder if it's the it's if it's the actual right
11:47person because it's like oh i'm i'm i'm sure it's i'm sure it's sc oh okay yeah i'm sure i'm sure of
11:55that i'll just leave i'll leave it to initials i was sure of that all right moving on we got to talk
12:02about mitchell robinson yes we do mitchell robinson we know the conversation with him is always about
12:09health and availability right the best ability is availability what's the percent chance brian
12:14that mitchell robinson plays over 55 games this season the last time he played 55 games you know
12:21it was in the 2022 2023 season when he played 59 games just cleared that by four games what's the
12:30percent chance that mitchell robinson who we've already seen miss a bunch of games this season
12:36due to low management that's still weird to me but yeah due to all that what's the percent chance
12:42you see him get over 55 we're not even asking for 65 so he's eligible for awards we're saying 55
12:46so he's been over this four times in his career yep and it's worth noting that he hasn't done that
12:55in those years that you mentioned which means he's only done it four times in seven seasons and this is
13:00eighth now so i have a hard time getting to for example 60 55 is doable but there's a mysterious
13:09injury situation that has gone on to even start the year and on top of that you have somebody who at
13:16any given moment could just sit out a week sit out two weeks because there's a tweak here or there
13:22it looks like everyone all parties involved they're going to be very careful with this
13:26so i'm going to say this is probably 40 i think it should be higher um but it's 55 games
13:35and i'm i i want to go lower than that but i feel like that might be a little too too disrespectful but
13:41at the same time we're we're looking at somebody who played three preseason games didn't play opening
13:48night didn't play the first few games of the season and has already you know been on the injury report
13:52numerous times day to day with this we'll see what happens here uh it wasn't a guarantee that he
13:58was going to play last night either or the last game against minnesota right so i think this is
14:02just going to be a day-to-day thing um i would probably lean no so i'm going to go 40 that sounds
14:08like it's a bit high for you given all the 50 55 that still means he would miss 27 games in total
14:16just i'll have you know you're actually you know what i'll go see i'll go see when you do the math
14:2327 games missed and he's missed how many already four already missed four of eight he's missed half
14:29the game you know what so he's on pace for 41 not that on pace means something he's on pace to play
14:3541 games and and the pace does change if he plays like you know a few games in a row but then there's
14:40back-to-backs away and you know what i'm gonna go back to 25 i'm dropping it down 15 percentage points
14:46that's your face has convinced me and also just like talking it out a little bit more
14:50not many times my face convinces anybody to do anything but yeah okay i i'm gonna say can i
14:56listen i had a really good joke there but i don't know if it's appropriate probably not
15:00because it's you can i can i say this i think 25 is too high oh jeez i think 25 is too high
15:11you better earn a rotation spot like that that'll get that'll get into another thing
15:15we'll get into that at some other point he's on so there's a couple things here for me and one of
15:23the things i think that's really influencing a lot of what i talked about is we sat here
15:27on opening night and before the game against the calves we had stephan bondi on with us we did and
15:34we asked step about the curious situation around the knicks handling which robinson's injury right
15:42and steph was not reporting but he was theorizing as the rock him of sports writing would rock him of
15:49sports writing would do that's an inside joke if you guys don't know don't know chuck d called him
15:52the rock him yes you're not caught up he brought up the point i don't call it theory he brought up like
15:59sometimes players through their agents will protect them from injuries what's the thing okay and he said
16:08he wasn't limping either he's like yo he looks fine so that that perked my ears yeah yeah yeah i was
16:15like huh and what steph is saying is true because you will know this around the league this happens
16:20for those of us around the nba we know this here's the thing mitchell robinson needs to do two things
16:26this season kind of needs to well not kind of definitely needs to be on the court
16:32but at what cost what else is mitchell robinson trying to do this season get paid uh-huh he's
16:40trying to get paid he's a free agent after the season if you don't know can't get hurt if you
16:44don't play that much unless you work out really really really ridiculously hard but so i wonder
16:51i'm again this is not reporting on me this is me just wondering out loud if he and his team are
16:57thinking about huh how do we get paid do we have nights like we did the other night against
17:03the minnesota timberwolves where we clearly show our value and we have eight points 10 rebounds nine
17:09of them offensive three blocks we look like a menace we're changing the game oh next night we
17:15don't play y'all need me you need to pay me i'm just i'm just saying this is pretty good strategy y'all
17:21want to sign me as an agent holler at your boy and if you're having that and the knicks are also
17:27in the value of protecting him with depth also with depth not enough at center not enough at
17:33center but let's say nick's like this works for us to your point on sunday it's like do you really
17:37need mitch to win that game yeah do you need mitch robinson on sunday you know no so now let's let's
17:42say he doesn't play sunday and everybody will have watched this by sunday yeah now he's only played
17:48he's missed five games already yeah now that's even below the you're not even up to 10 as a team
17:53so my percent chance for this happening and this might blow some of your minds two percent folks
18:00two two percent that's too low is it i think it's is it is it too low we both 17 games last year 31
18:13the year before 59 that we talked about in that 2022 2023 season i mean look to your point please
18:21please tell me why the number's crazy if it's just two percent two percent so implied odds for
18:27that would be y'all drink two percent milk some of y'all drink two percent milk two percent milk is
18:31good i don't do that but but listen there is a chance there's a what i'm saying with this is so
18:38there's a chance right that's all i'm saying do i believe in that chance brian you do work for the
18:44action network i do what would you say the odds are on this the odds no i think the better question
18:49would be what would you set the over under for games played for mitchell robinson this season
18:53knowing what we like right now right now 42 42 and a half yeah i'd go a little higher than that i would
19:02go i would go 50 and a half i think i think high 40s like 50 around okay you said you set the line
19:11at 50 and a half what would you bet you'd want to say under just say just say i do want to say
19:18just say i'm not comfortable what i'm saying there we go it's all right you said 25 i'm going with
19:26two percent some of y'all might think i'm tripping i don't care going with two percent there we go
19:31all right moving on we're gonna talk about tyler kolek because a lot of y'all like to talk about
19:36tyler kolek tyler kolek right now brian i've talked a lot about him in the off season honestly
19:41you know tyler called showed some things earlier this year right brian look like when i say showed
19:46some things let me take that back tyler kolek had some opportunities in the first couple of games
19:52damn of this season i'm not saying he didn't show anything because he did show some things
19:57right to us but as of now the time of recording this tyler kolek is not in the rotation
20:03okay that happened fast he has gotten the end of the last couple games but
20:09we know it's basically a dmp cd we we know this but to add to that real quick um yes combined
20:20combined over the last four games it's about 11 minutes and one of those appearances with 31 seconds
20:27that's out of the rotation yeah let's just call it what it is yeah okay but here's what we've talked
20:32about once malcolm brogdon retired tyler kolek was going to have an opportunity to try to show this
20:43team that he's a viable backup point guard early on mike brown gave him looks mike brown put him out
20:48there in backup point guard minutes he was one of the first guards off the bench in the first couple
20:53of games you saw him play about 14 ish minutes against cleveland boston we saw that now he's not in the
20:59rotation so here's the question what's what's the percent chance i feel like you might say too
21:04that tyler kolek will be in the rotation after the trade deadline so please notice what we said here
21:10folks we're also letting you know that this answering this question that tyler kolek will be with the team
21:16after the trade deadline so after the trade deadline is he going to be playing minutes
21:22or is he going to be in the g league what's the deal so you are you is he by the time we get past
21:28the trade deadline are you looking at him saying he is the clear cut backup point guard on the new york
21:32knicks 10 it's better than two i i don't want to go that low just because you are as an organization
21:42incentivized to see what you have in somebody on their rookie contract even if they're turning 25 years old
21:51in march you're incentivized to do that for business reasons for financial reasons he's under contract
21:57under team control for two more seasons after this year tyler kolek is so you're incentivized to see
22:03what you have in him and pakom daria evidently it's not enough for mike brown right now and
22:08can you really fault them because of what they've shown or what they haven't shown we haven't we don't
22:14even see pakom daria we at least saw tyler kolek get an opportunity it's true pakom daria hardly got
22:20minutes even in the timberwolves game at the very very end so to me there's not a great chance of
22:25this happening now at the risk of sounding like i'm confirming my priors didn't expect this either
22:31like didn't expect like i didn't expect that he would be getting minutes anyway and i think he got
22:37minutes because malcolm brogdon retired like i was saying even beforehand i'm like you have to see
22:43what you have on your roster but do you because what is actually the best case scenario here like do you
22:50think do you think he's going to be like a great backup point guard for you he can clearly he has
22:55shooting talent i'll say that he he has he's not making his threes but he has shooting talent like
22:59he can shoot he has the profile someone can shoot he's a really good passer that's obviously a lot
23:04of people's favorite like part of his game that's the least skill in the that's yeah and you have to
23:09have an elite skill in the nba but what's going to happen is and what happens is when he steps out
23:14onto the floor other nba teams are going to see food and if you're going to win a championship
23:20you have to have as little bit of those guys on the roster as possible unless they're so dynamic
23:25offensively that doesn't matter and there's players that are much much better offensively
23:29who get absolutely hunted in the playoffs darius garland who's an all-star tyler hero who's an all-star
23:34so on and so forth so i think with tyler kolek for someone who is probably a backup point guard at
23:41least for this season and maybe that's a permanent thing who knows like 10 chance he's even their
23:46backup point guard this year because i also think the next front office is going to be like look
23:50you have to get a malcolm brogdon type like a veteran to actually be the backup behind jalen
23:58brunson and evidently they don't think jordan clarkson is like a true backup one although now
24:03he's starting to have to like do a little bit more of that out of necessity so to me i think they
24:10they probably add somebody else it's more likely that they add somebody else on the roster just a
24:14vet who can take some minutes i don't think that your number of 10 is crazy or wild or anything like
24:20that i don't want to go low i sound like you i don't want to go lower to disrespect tyler kolek
24:27because that's not what i'm doing here but what i will say is sometimes i wonder with this and i'm
24:34going to try to factor this in my percentage can the percentage get higher because an opportunity
24:39comes for tyler kolek that's the thing maybe tyler kolek takes that opportunity and runs that's why
24:44it's not zero like if jordan clarkson misses time and you have to out of necessity like and in the nba
24:49maybe the scarier proposition right we're bringing up there yeah but but what if he gets the opportunity
24:58and then it's like oh wait no you got to get somebody else well right because because no to your
25:03point on that it it's not just about the opportunity yeah it's also about what happens
25:08and with the opportunity and these aren't the wizards like you're trying to win a title if
25:13you were on the wizards if you were on utah brooklyn if you were in the same city he'd be getting
25:18playing time right now but this is but but this is just yeah like part of this is out of his hands
25:23and pacote and daddy's hands it's like yo this team is trying to win now and if you're not ready
25:27ain't nothing we can do about that right so what i'll say to that is i'm gonna factor in the
25:33percentage that he could get this opportunity and could do his thing in this opportunity now i don't
25:39think that's much higher than you so i'm gonna give a little bit more than you i'm gonna go 15
25:44percent yeah okay i'm gonna go 50 because i might even maybe want to bump it to 20
25:48sure i'll be nicer i'll go 20 why not why not maybe i thought i was harsh on this necessity is
25:54important because necessity is too and then sometimes here's what i'll say i don't think
25:59in the first two games when he got some minutes that he played terribly but he was getting hunted
26:03and teams still do see him as he survived the first game but less so after against less high
26:08in talent no davis garland in that game right to hunt him too in the backcourt so you got to factor
26:12that what does mike brown talk about a lot like we we were at the press conference wednesday he
26:16he cares about defense he he came up in this league as a defensive coach yeah i think people forget that
26:22as as revolutionary as you want to call the offense like the king's offense from a few years ago which
26:27he's trying to re-implement here according to his conversation with kevin hurdard which he joked
26:31about at the press conference the other day like even with those offensive principles the defense is
26:36going to come first and foremost for honestly a lot of these coaches from that era of that ilk
26:40tom thibodeau mike brown so if you can't defend eric spolster if you can't defend you're not seeing
26:46you're not seeing the court and that's the part that's got to get better for tyler cole so okay 10 for
26:49brian 20 for me all right before we wrap we talked about players here let's talk about this team as a
26:56whole knicks right now are in the middle of a seven game homestand their longest homestand
27:02of the season they are three and oh they have not lost a game at home yet this season so what's the
27:10percent chance that the knicks win 12 games here in the month of november they are undefeated
27:18in the month of november they have not lost they have 14 games this month so we're asking them to
27:24go 12 and 2 we're asking them to get nine more wins here's the interesting thing about the schedule
27:30if you're wondering about the schedule they've only got one game against a team over 500 at the time of
27:36this recording they took an l to this team already that is the bucks the schedule when you look at it
27:42it's kind of favorable the road trip is is the thing but and they're all in three on the road
27:49and and also not for nothing quite a few of these places and matter of fact all of these places except
27:56for maybe one there'll be a bunch of nick fans there kind of like home game i mean we we can look we can
28:04look at this here uh people for you really quickly coming up they host the knicks this is a continual
28:10homestand host the nets excuse me host the knicks how nicks gonna host the knicks i mean they might
28:13as well host themselves that's true they should just do a scrimmage that's true we're not trying
28:17to disrespect you brooklyn um they then host the grizzlies next week back to back and then they
28:22have the magic okay nba cup game they host the heat then they go to south beach which is also like
28:30being at home again msg south and they play the heat uh three days later on the 17th then they go to
28:36the mavericks as part of road trip then down to orlando back well it's kind of back home in
28:41brooklyn for the nets then down to charlotte for the hornets why are they going to new york and then
28:45charlotte yes that's that's that's really weird with scheduling then they host the bucks in an nba
28:49cup group stage game on the 28th and they close out the month hosting the raptors i love the i love
28:57this question because when we look at the schedule we're always like man it looks easy it's never as easy
29:04as you think never here's the thing i will say about the road trip before i get your answer and
29:08we wrap i do think the knicks are going to finish this homestand really well and i do think a big
29:16part of the message from the coaching staff is going to be like yo we're oh and three on the road we need
29:21to go out there and do some work we got to show we can win some road games so what you want to do
29:25in nba you wanted any sport you want to dominate at home can you be 500 ish plus more on the road right
29:30that's what the really good teams do i think they'll be focused on that road trip how focused
29:35i don't know but what's the percent chance you think that he win 12 games nine more wins for the
29:41rest of this month is all they need so they can't lose two games this the rest of this month they can
29:47only lose i mean they can't lose more than two more than two games yeah 30 wow that's lower than i
29:54expected because it's the nba and teams are deep and even though the schedule is favorable
30:00orlando has played well below expectations the desmond bain trade which looked like it could
30:07be a home run is not even a slap single right now but there's a world where they figure it out
30:12or they fire jamal mosley and perhaps uh figure it out you know in that direction
30:19but you have a back to you have a not a back-to-back but a home and home with miami
30:25beating that team twice is always difficult beating pretty much any nba team is difficult
30:32and bam is right now dealing with a sprained toe he's day-to-day he'll probably play for both of
30:38those tyler hero supposedly might come back for that second game i gotta be honest with you
30:42i don't know how much better that's gonna make them
30:45from from a from a from a like that game perspective it's his first game back i don't
30:52know what the expectation of that should be right it's good it's gonna be hard to win those two
30:56so like that's where i'm expecting one loss i guess and then with orlando that's fair with orlando
31:03who i still think can be a good team are you really gonna beat them twice in in the month like maybe
31:10one of those games is in orlando i wouldn't say orlando has like an amazing home court advantage
31:14although it's better than it used to be um and you are gonna have a lot of nick fans there
31:19and then otherwise like it sometimes it just happens where like charlotte is at the end of that road
31:26trip even though again they're gonna be able to sleep in their own beds at some point on the road
31:30trip because they're playing brooklyn but charlotte's at the end of that and that's a game where
31:34i mean charlotte's caught them slipping in the past and they have talent brandon miller could be
31:40back by that point lamello ball uh could be active um and should be active well before that
31:44so like there there are just a lot of sort of landmines here because it's the nba you just
31:50don't always win the games you're favored in and that's another interesting piece of this they're
31:53going to be favored for the vast majority of these games like i'm not i'm struggling to find a game
31:58where they're actually going to be underdogs like i don't even know if they're going to be underdogs
32:02in that miami game on the road the only one i can think about is maybe at orlando if they get it
32:08by then so you said 30 i'll say 30 it's unlikely just because it's the nba but it can happen because
32:15the schedule is not awesome and health is going to matter too like is mitch going to play you know
32:20towns you know and the stuff that he's been dealing with i will say this i think their percent chance
32:26will increase the better they are on this homestand if they yeah if they go seven and
32:33on this homestand now this percentage goes real high to me but i'm a little higher than you on this
32:40because i think the schedule i think the knicks heard some noise around their slow start and i i
32:45think they're starting to hit a bit of a stride here hope hope so we'll see gotta see a little more
32:50i'm gonna go 50 on this i think it's a 50 50 coin flip i think this gap and i think i think it's
32:58fair i think it'll win the 12 games i think it's fixed when i look at the schedule now i do kind of
33:03agree with you the one place where i was like hey where could there be a loss that heat home and home
33:09series even though there's three days between it and the knicks play that's the last game of the
33:13homestand and then they go down to south beach you know you and then you know you go to miami some
33:18miami and things happen they caught the southeast flu last time things happen um that's all i'm
33:25saying i can see something happening there because you also gotta look at the cities where you want
33:29to be you don't want to be some cities you want to get up out of real quick it depends orlando's
33:33not too bad we saw the knicks get caught slipping last year on black friday against the hornets i
33:37you can see those things i don't think they drop on the nets i think they're motivated against the
33:41bucks again i think they'll get up for the grizzlies and the magic games at home the grizzlies could
33:46tailspin so could so we'll we'll see i'm gonna go 50 that's that's my number 50 you said 40
