00:17Despite rumors of US President Donald Trump being the first to receive the prize,
00:21FIFA President Gianni Infantino declines to confirm who will be its inaugural recipient.
00:26Infantino, who shares a close personal relationship with Trump,
00:32credited the President for his support in preparations for the World Cup
00:36that the US will co-host with Canada and Mexico next year.
00:40He also said it was important to honor those who work to end conflicts
00:44and bring people together in the spirit of peace.
00:47The award will be presented each year on behalf of fans from around the world.
00:51Trump was passed over for the Nobel Peace Prize last month,
00:54despite lobbying from fellow Republicans and other world leaders.
00:58His daughter, Ivanka Trump, was recently appointed to the board of a 100 million US dollar education project,
