Jeffries urges Trump to 'get off the sidelines' as shutdown becomes longest ever

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries urges Donald Trump to "get off the sidelines and get in the game" to help end the ongoing government shutdown, accusing Republicans of lacking leadership. Speaking in Washington, Jeffries says Democrats are ready for bipartisan talks with the president, but "until he does, this government will remain shut down." Republicans and Democrats are in disagreement in Congress over an extension of federal funding, but Democrats have balked, demanding that any funding plan also include an extension of enhanced Obamacare health insurance subsidies, which are set to expire.
