00:00Dodgers stars sad one-liner on World Series Struggles.
00:04It's not looking good for the Dodgers right now.
00:07The team is stacked with MVPs and payroll power, but looked flat, out of sync, and, dare we say it, timid during the 6-1 loss to the Blue Jays.
00:17Now, the series shifts back to Toronto for Game 6, and the Dodgers are staring down the barrel of elimination.
00:24One more loss, and it's all over.
00:26The confetti flies north of the border for the first time since 1993.
00:31Here's the thing.
00:32The Dodgers aren't just losing.
00:34They're going quiet.
00:36Their offense has straight-up disappeared, scoring just three runs total in the last two games.
00:42And while Shohei Otani is still out there grinding like he's in a one-man show, the rest of the cast are missing their cues.
00:49None more so than Mookie Betts.
00:51Betts, the 8-time All-Star, former MVP, clubhouse leader, and sparkplug, has been ice-cold at the worst possible time.
01:00Three hits in 23 at-bats and 0 RBIs.
01:04And to his credit, he didn't sugarcoat it.
01:08After going 0-4 in Game 5, Betts looked reporters in the eye and said it plainly,
01:13I've been terrible.
01:15That's a tough pill to swallow from one of the game's most respected stars.
01:19And you could hear the frustration, not just disappointment, in his voice.
01:24I wish it was from lack of effort.
01:26I really do, but it's not.
01:28So I don't have any answers, he said.
01:30Yikes.
01:31That's real.
01:32That's the weight of October baseball.
01:34And this isn't April.
01:36There's no time to figure it out.
01:38After Betts' comment, Derek Jeter chimed in.
01:41And when the captain speaks, you listen.
01:44Jeter didn't just nod to Betts' honesty.
01:46He reframed the whole thing.
01:49The best thing about the postseason is, who cares what happened before, he said.
01:53He's going to be up in Game 6 with a chance to do something special.
01:57And if he does, no one's going to talk about the rest of the postseason.
02:01And that may be the lifeline Betts needs to hear.
02:04Because now it's do or die.
02:06The Dodgers have one more shot to shake off the ghosts of Games 4 and 5.
02:10And if Mookie can rise from the slump and be that guy in Game 6, the whole narrative flips.
02:15I'm embarrassed.
02:16Bye.
02:16Bye.
02:16Bye.
02:17Bye.
02:17Bye.
02:34Bye.
02:44Bye.
