00:00An all-hands-on-deck government approach seeks to respond to and provide for the immediate needs of disaster-stricken Cebu province.
00:07And the men and women in blue of the PNP are all in in reinforcing search and rescue operations in the hard-hit areas of the province.
00:16A Ryan Lecigas fills us in with more.
00:20The situation remains peaceful in areas that were badly hit by Typhoon Tino.
00:25According to the Directorate for Police Community Relations or DPCR Executive Officer Police Colonel Jesse Tamayo,
00:31there were no reported incidents of looting in areas affected by the Typhoon.
00:35In fact, the number of reported crimes even decreased after the said weather disturbance.
00:40Despite this, the Philippine National Police or PNP remains vigilant and has raised its alert level to full alert status in the Typhoon hit areas.
00:48As of now, yun yung magandang balita natin dahil nga binagyo tayo and we expect na wala tayong any report,
01:01particularly in 8Focus and base na rin sa datos natin and the report of our field units,
01:08wala tayong any reported na any incident or crimes.
01:13What about looting, sir?
01:14Looting, as of now, based on the report, wala din tayong any reported looting.
01:22Earlier, PNP Acting Chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Naratates Jr.
01:27immediately directed all police offices and units in affected areas to intensify search and rescue operations
01:34for the victims of Typhoon Tino.
01:36Naratates also ensured the speedy distribution of relief goods to evacuated families and individuals.
01:41At present, more than 9,000 police personnel and over 300 mobile units have been deployed
01:48for evacuation, rescue operations, and other humanitarian assistance following the Typhoon's onslaught.
01:54Yes, we all know naman ang ating PNP. Support lang tayo pagdating sa mga ganyang bagay.
02:01And lahat ng ating mga responses, this is in coordination with our local government,
