02:08It just feels like a reminder when I play it to you or just sing it.
02:11It's really cool.
02:12When did you know that Christian music was your calling?
02:15You know, it's so funny.
02:17When I look back as a little girl, like I was listening to it in the car radio, you know, with my parents growing up.
02:23And I grew up in church.
02:24So I see how God just planted a love for Christian music so early on.
02:30But I went through some hard things, some heartache that, you know, I think God allowed me to go through so I can connect with people on this level.
02:37But it wasn't until I was 18 where I started to lead worship at a church that really changed my life because I was singing in restaurants.
02:45And every time I was singing in restaurants, I just it felt empty by the end of the night.
02:50But when I was singing in church and leading worship, it was so life giving.
02:54And so then my manager found me through a hashtag online like shortly after.
02:59And he was a Christian manager.
03:00So I felt like it was just all crazy, like all that happening all at once, you know.
03:04And the best way I can describe it is I didn't feel like God was just poking me.
03:09It was like he was grabbing me by the shoulders.
03:11Like I'm calling you to something that you can't even see right now.
03:14But like, just trust me, you know.
03:16You said something so interesting just now where you were talking about heartache and you almost saw that as an opportunity.
03:23What do you mean by that?
03:25You know, it's funny because when I get on a stage, there's so many people in the audience that have gone through so many things.
03:31And so I'm 24, so I always think I'm like, well, how can I relate to someone if I haven't like lived a ton of life?
03:37And so I always look back at like things I've gone through and I'm like, this is so that I can relate to somebody and like just know what they're going through and like somehow encourage that person or pray for that person, you know.
03:48So it's really cool to like see how even in the hard moments, God's growing my faith.
03:52He's growing me to be stronger and like just relate to people.
03:55What do you want people to really take away from your music when they hit play on the truth or your whole EP?
04:02What do you want them to take away from that?
04:04I'm trying to think back to when I was a little girl like listening to Christian music and like what I needed to hear.
04:09And I think I would just say like, I just want them to feel so loved by God and like truly understand that like he loved us first, you know, and we don't have to be perfect.
04:21He doesn't expect perfection.
04:22He just wants to be in relation with you.
04:24He adores you.
04:26And that's the message I just want to share.
04:27And but also just I love just writing worship songs, too.
04:32And yeah, lyrics about Jesus.
04:33It's really important to me.
04:34And you must be so excited by seeing so many young people now relating to this.
04:41It's been so mind blowing.
04:42My favorite part of being on tour right now is seeing little girls in the audience sing the truth.
04:47Like it's the most special feeling I can't even put into words.
04:50Like it's so special.
04:52Well, they are belting it out and they're belting it out because of you.
