01:20And tonight, the first game of the in-season tournament.
01:25It's NBA Cup time, first of four,
01:27as the Knicks and Bulls will look to get to the knockout round
01:30in their first meeting of the season between the two.
01:32And how about that man on the floor?
01:34Mitchell Robinson will play his first game of the season.
01:37Nick's, as a team, completely hauled the whole roster available.
01:40Robinson hasn't played yet,
01:42but will be in the starting lineup tonight for the Knicks.
01:47And it's also the MSG Network analyst debut of Steve Novak.
01:52You've been on MSG quite a bit, but that's firing up threes.
01:54Now you get the chance to fill in for Clyde Frazier.

02:13So I'm also very excited to be on MSG Networks and back with the Knicks.
02:17And it's an honor to be on with you.
02:18Well, we're thrilled to have you.
02:19And obviously the Knicks are thrilled to have Mitchell Robinson back.
02:22That means he'll start at center.
02:23Carl Anthony Towns will start at the power forward.
02:25He's clearly not comfortable yet through the first four games
02:28with Mike Brown in the new system.
02:30What have you seen, Steve?
02:31And what would you like to see tonight?
02:33Well, look, in the first two games, 19, 26-point nights,
02:36and then eight points that last game.
02:38Obviously not the Carl Anthony Towns that we know.
02:41And so tonight, no question, a full-team effort to get him going
02:44because he is a huge part of this offense.
02:46He does need to be featured.
02:47And because of his skill set, he's going to be just fine.
02:50The greatest big-man shooter of all time.
02:52And he's going to continue to prove that and find his way
02:54and just love his unselfishness, his willingness to initiate
02:58and be that big guy in the middle that Mike Brown wants right now.
03:01The offense a bit of a struggle, but still rebounding,

03:05Now, they're facing the Chicago Bulls.
03:07One of the real surprises so far in the NBA season.
03:10They're 4-0, undefeated, 3-0 here.
03:12And it's been a total team effort.
03:14But the catalyst has been Josh Giddey, his second year.
03:17He's very comfortable now in Chicago.
03:19He's very comfortable.
03:20He's showing it really since that Zach Levine trade.
03:23When Zach left, the keys were given to this guy,
03:25and he has delivered.
03:26And look, this season has been special.
03:28Like you said already, in these four games,
03:29he's averaging just about 20 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists.
03:33And at his size, at 6'8", his ability right there to facilitate
03:37and find Boozelis, who's playing fantastic as well.
03:40It really is his creativity, his ability to handle the ball
03:43and have his eyes up.
03:44Everybody is following his lead,
03:46and he's shooting the three at 43%,
03:49which if he can continue that, this Bulls team is going to be tough to beat.
03:52Look at those numbers.
03:53He's a triple-double waiting to happen.
03:55And in his career, he's had three triple-doubles against the Knicks.
03:58He's had some very good games against them,
04:00both in Chicago and back when he was within Oklahoma City.
04:03As we mentioned, the Knicks are full,
04:05and that means Miles McBride has rejoined the team
04:07way a couple of days.
04:09As we send our condolences, he lost his grandmother.
04:11But he's back, and will come off the bench tonight
04:13from Mike Brown on the Knicks.

06:37A lot of the numbers is Towns knocks down his first shot,
06:40and that has to feel so good for him
06:41after the struggles the other night.
06:43Well, eight points for him last game,
06:45and obviously this is a guy that needs to be featured.
06:47The whole team's got to be aware of him,
06:48and I think you're seeing that in the first two possessions.
06:51Robinson pokes it out of bounds.
06:52In fact, Towns, the other night, Milwaukee, on Tuesday night,
06:55took one field goal attempt in the entire first half.
06:58He's taken two in the first minute.
07:01Yeah, and some of that's certainly going to be just a system adjustment,
07:03but I also think it's a kick right there for Cat,
07:06but his willingness to listen to Coach Mike Brown,
07:08to listen to what he wants from him,
07:10be willing to facilitate and let the game come to him,
07:12I think not forcing, it tells you as much about a guy.
07:15Does he want to win and is he willing to buy in as anything,
07:17and I think that's the case from Cat so far.
07:20He's taken responsibility.
07:21He's zealous misses.
07:22Robinson comes in, grabs the rebound.
07:24But one of the things Knicks have done and excelled at so far
07:27is the rebounding department,
07:30and Robinson will certainly help with that.

08:07Yeah, he's so intentional with the way he plays.
08:09Seems like it's so calculated at that 6'8 frame.
08:12He just gets where he wants,
08:13and so does Jalen a lot of times,
08:15but he doesn't have that 6'8 size like Giddey.
08:18And Ananobi misses the three.
08:20Robinson deflects it and comes up with the offensive rebound.

09:47but obviously they have not shot the ball

09:55so he played the first just under three minutes.

10:03but clearly he hasn't played a game.
10:05And he's going to be huffing and puffing

10:14and even just Mike Brown's offense,
10:15you feel like it's a different approach
10:17to the regular season,
10:18the sustainability of getting the postseason
